I called this morning with floor drains backing up due to tree roots. Within 2 hours of my call,…read more Matt was in my driveway and unloading his equipment. Matt is a very knowledgeable and personable young man. He had no trouble at all with snaking the main, but before he could put his equipment away a secondary issue was discovered. Matt had to climb up on the roof and clean out the vent pipe and did it with ease. Major Drain has been out to our house several times over the years, and have always been quick to respond and always reasonably priced. Meeting Matt today was an added bonus. Nobody wants sewer problems, but Major Drain will be the one I call when it happens again.

They immediately tried to upsell us. A friend recommended Major Drain who was very open and honest and told us exactly what we needed, what we didn't need, and what our fees were going to be right upfront. The two gentlemen that came and installed everything were extremely professional and friendly and very helpful. I HIGHLY recommend Major Drain and will definitely use them again in the future. It is my understanding that Major Drain technicians do not work on commission so they are there because they want to be and to do a job which is very refreshing in today's age. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would!!! Thank you Major Drain!

Our first (and last) experience with Rooter Man, assigned through a home warranty, was nothing…read moreshort of frustrating. Without informing us, the technicians removed a faucet and then quoted an absurd $451 just to cap the pipes because they didn't have what they needed on hand. They said they would then charge an additional $500+ to install a new faucet at a later date--nearly $1,000 to get a single fixture on one sink!! Feeling we were being taken advantage of, I consulted a licensed plumber that I know, who confirmed my suspicions. I ended up resolving the issue myself by going to Home Depot, buying TWO faucets that a reputable plumber installed for a fraction of the cost Rooter Man quoted. The highlight of our evening, and the motivation for spending a moment more on this terrible company by leaving a review, was discovering that the techs left the hot water on at the basement sink. Will definitely be deterring any friend or family member from using this company.

I called and expressed my concerns to Dawn and apparently they stand behind this "quality" of service. They say you live and learn, and this is one of those occasions I get to inform other people before they call this business and find themselves with a hefty bill and nothing to show for it. Update: Hired a reputable company who was able to troubleshoot and identify the controller was bad. Cost of service and part - $200.

We have used four plumbers since moving to Omaha four years ago. We just had a new kitchen faucet…read moreand garbage disposal installed by Hugh from Advantage. I called several plumbers, and Advantage was the only business that provided us with an estimate of the work's cost. The others all wanted to come see the job, provide a quote, and then we could decide to accept their proposal or send them walking. I wasn't looking for a firm quote; I just wanted an idea. Hugh from Advantage was polite, neat, and very efficient. The total cost was reasonable and lower than we had experienced with other plumbers for comparable work.

I had a great experience with Advantage Plumbing…read more Through Yelp, I requested help for a toilet and shut valve replacement. (The toilet has been having intermittent issues and needs replacement.) They immediately connected with me and offered to come out the same day (but I still had not gotten the new toilet.) We scheduled for the day after, and they were here by the promised time. The team quickly removed their shoes at the front door without being asked (not my general experience with many repair teams) and started working. They finished almost precisely at 90 minutes despite a minor complication. (The basement/toilet drain was not draining well which they augered out.) It was explained to me that it was likely a combination of time and a 20-year-old toilet (which did not generate enough force). Other than minimal dust and grime, they did not leave any bigger messes for me to clean up. They were professional, and their price was well aligned with other companies. They did not sell me on any additional service plans but did guarantee their service for a year. (There is a 4% for credit card transactions.)
