(The toilet has been having intermittent issues and needs replacement.) They immediately connected with me and offered to come out the same day (but I still had not gotten the new toilet.) We scheduled for the day after, and they were here by the promised time. The team quickly removed their shoes at the front door without being asked (not my general experience with many repair teams) and started working. They finished almost precisely at 90 minutes despite a minor complication. (The basement/toilet drain was not draining well which they augered out.) It was explained to me that it was likely a combination of time and a 20-year-old toilet (which did not generate enough force). Other than minimal dust and grime, they did not leave any bigger messes for me to clean up. They were professional, and their price was well aligned with other companies. They did not sell me on any additional service plans but did guarantee their service for a year. (There is a 4% for credit card transactions.)

We had our water heater go out in the winter and tried to tough it out knowing it would cost a lot…read moreto replace. Hopeful it was just a repair job, we contacted our trusted plumber whose previously helped with pipe replacements but he wasn't in business any longer so we switched to Big Birge and are very pleased. They assessed that there was no way to repair and we'd have to replace. The great thing was that they donated some of what they made from the replacement to a local charity. They've given back to the community time and again with new water fountains at one of our child's schools. Unfortunately, months later we had a really bad drain clog problem that we could not resolve with our snake or natural drain cleaners (as commercial grade can ruin pipes & eat away at snaking equipment!). Their man came out and cleared our pipes and recommended a treatment to do monthly. While we haven't been great at the monthly treatment, we do notice that once we see things draining slowly and do use it, it seems to help which is so nice on our pocket not to have to call them! Glad they are there when we need them for the big jobs and with lots of helpful tips if you follow their socials or ask the service man when there. They're willing to share all sorts of tips! Great company and great people. Glad we found a good plumber who does the job right.

I called here and Bill was able to come out right away. He was very helpful and thorough. The rate was about as high as other after hours plumbers; about $350/hour. It was worth it to not have to wait until 8 AM to use the plumbing in my house. He was honest and explained that with the equipment I already had I could have fixed the problem if I had continued rooting for another 30 minutes. I appreciate his honesty. Nonetheless I still would've called him because he did a great job and got it done right without me breaking myself trying to fix the problem.

Then, they bid low, when they first came they said $1,000 to $1,200. Then, they came and did the work, taking less than then they originally said, but they charged us $1,640. They never stopped to tell us why they charged us more, they just did. So, don't trust the bid & know that they will take as much as they can. This job shouldn't have cost more that $800 so, we were already over paying. We are feeling kind of cheated
