He had a hypothesis right off the bat, checked out the furnace and with that confirmed his hypothesis, that it was a faulty blower motor that had seized up, freezing the whole top of the furnace completely. To ease my mind he allowed me to put a towel in there to make sure the wiring did not get damaged by the water. I will keep going back to Chapman for heating and cooling issues. I also have seen that they take care of so much more so, I will be looking into other things, if we need anything else. Again thank you Christopher and Chapman!! THE MIDDLETON'S BOBBI-JO AND RODGER Update...11/15/2026 I had a call from the dispatcher at Chapman call, I cannot recall her name but she is very polite, sorry miss, I apologize. But she advised me the price of the blower motor due to it being a VERY DIFFERENT AND HARD PART TO FIND, not only that but of course our luck the manufacturer warranty expired 2 years ago, it is going to be VERY EXPENSIVE TO REPLACE. So not sure how much the labor is going to cost but I am sure it will be fair. We are looking at at least 2 grand. YIPPEE FOR US!! We were looking forward to going on a cruise but still have to fix a vehicle also so that may not be happening, I tell ya what when it rains it pours huh, people. Life sinks!! Well at least I can thank Chapman and Christopher for helping me out of this mess!! THANKS AGAIN FOR THE HELP!!

My original review of Chapman was in 2018 and centered around my wonky but still operational…read morefurnace. This time around, I've gotten the chance to try out Chapman to address some electrical issues in the house. Truthfully, I wasn't aware that Chapman handled electrical. I'd begun having some significant electrical issues a couple weeks before Thanksgiving. I called another company that I'd used for a smaller project with good results. They came over and did some minor adjustments, however, they noted there were significant issues and planned to send me an estimate. They did let me know this "fix" was more like a band-aid and the significant work was inevitable. It was less than a day when the "band-aid" stopped working. I waited a bit anticipating their estimate, though also disappointed that they'd done such a weak fix. Finally, things got WAY worse. It was shortly before Thanksgiving and the situation was urgent. I left a message for Chapman anticipating that I was likely out of luck for the holiday weekend. My general sense was that was their plan, too. However, I think the rep (I believe her name was Hannah) heard the panic in my voice and I explained my situation. She arranged for a technician to visit the house the next day. This tech did agree that the issue was serious and warranted a few major repairs. He explained it well and explained my options. To be honest, I'm usually quite cheap. However, when he gave me two options I went with the more expensive option as I really wanted to make sure the fix was done properly. I was tired of band-aids. They used my initial service call as a down payment and the electrician, Rodney as I recall, scheduled it and made sure he would be the electrician for the project (NOTE: In reality, this ended up being a 2-3 person job). The only slight hiccup was that I'd been told they'd arrive at 8am. In reality, I called them at 10am and learned they were having trouble finding one needed part. That was fine, though I should have been called. Around 11:15, and somewhat surprisingly, they arrived and dug in. Seven hours later? They were done. I was particularly touched by a neat gesture - I'm a wheelchair user. In their estimate, the electrician had written that he'd be putting my new panel in at wheelchair height. This wasn't something I asked for particularly, however, it was a pretty cool gesture recognizing my needs. Rodney explained everything and was entirely work focused. He completed the work as promised and the cost was exactly as quoted. He explained a couple other concerns - including one that wouldn't be a Chapman issue, however, he explained how it could impact the electric. I've now had Chapman work on my furnace and my electric. Are they more expensive? Yeah, I'd say so. If you're looking for a budget electrician, Chapman probably isn't that. However, in all three visits the work has been done and done well. They've avoided band-aids and actually fixed issues. Their quotes have been accurate. The employees have been professional. With the exception of today's tardiness, the experiences have all been impeccable. Truthfully, I should have likely called Chapman first. While I may not call them for smaller issues, the truth is for me it's worth a bit more to get the work done right. The work is warrantied and I now have a system that should last for years and is also accessible. That other company? I still don't have their estimate. Chapman wins.

Over the years that has changed and the customer service has gone down hill. Multiple calls left unanswered over the last year. Those calls were about two things: getting on their schedule for regular maintenance and to follow up about the option they presented to better cool our upstairs. I did manage to get ONE call back recently and spoke with the son who assured me that Jerry would call me back and get me on the calendar for the following week for a regular service visit. No call back. It's "funny" to me how they always managed to find time to call me back when they were about to get paid for the brand new HVAC they were installing in our home. The same courtesy should be given when calls are made to them after the initial job is done. Both Jerry and his son dropped hints multiple times that there isn't enough time to get everything done and there's not enough good people out there to hire to keep up with the business. While I get that completely, the customer shouldn't be the one to suffer. You should always find time to call the customers back. I am the first to promote and refer the companies that treat us well and take care of us. 3 years ago I was doing that with Speedtown. It appears as though I made a mistake and this is not the same company now that it once was.

Jerry and the team at Speedtown Comfort are as good as it gets when it comes to HVAC work and customer service. Jerry has helped me with multiple AC issues at our old house and I always felt like I was getting honest options and a fair price. Jerry discovered the problem with our 20+ year-old AC unit and fixed it rather than telling me we needed to replace it. We recently moved and Jerry just came out to help solve some airflow issues at our new house. Even when we ran into issues with the furnace at our new house that were caused by improper furnace installation (by a company that will not be named), Jerry went above and beyond to help solve the problem for us. I'd highly recommend that you give Jerry and his team at Speedtown Comfort a call if you run into any HVAC issues. They'll give you honest options that will work best for you, not just pad their bottom lines.

Whoever installed it; I was told by the service rep that came to fix an already broken system ( that conveniently nothing was covered by the 10 years parts warranty ) installed the wrong size system for our home; not large enough so when there is extreme heat or cold the system runs all of the time to try to heat or cool and cannot keep up... for example the system is set on, 72 and it runs all day but the temp in our home is 78 if it is above 90 outside so; greatly increases our power bill during the high heat of summer or deep cold of winter. So this is only the 3rd season we have turned on the heat and supposedly had a power surge that burned up a circuit board and two of the heating strips and because as I said the repair was conveniently nothing covered... so; it was going to cost me $497 and I did not have that much money at the time so; the repair guy said; we can get it financed for you but we will have to come back with the finance guy tomorrow. So I agreed and said I would even have it paid off in less than 90 days... but wait it gets better; the next day two repair guys show up at the house and are standing by there vehicles quietly talking to one another and doing things on a table...after about 45 minutes they tell me they cannot finance that little of an amount but could finance if I added a $1,200 surge protector so, in desperation to have heat for my home I agreed and agreed to put $100 down the following Tuesday to which they both agreed.... But they never showed up so for nearly a month, I have been without heat, and a system that is too small for my home and truly the more I thought about it...I priced out the average cost for our system and to install and was shocked to see other companies that installed the same systen for less than $10,000, so it appears to me that they knowingly installed a smaller system so that it would break down more often needing regular repairs and took advantage of an elderly woman not to mention the bait and switch game they played on me with having to pay $1,200 for a $497 repair - DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY FOR ANY REASON UNLESS YOU LIKE BEING TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF

I called just about…read moreevery heating and cooling company I could think off, most of them either rude, hung up on me, available a week out, not returning my calls and so on. But then I got lucky with New Phase, he returned my call and was able to squeeze me in the following day. Communication skills A+++, he let me know when he was running a few minutes late, kept me updated throughout the process. When he was on the way, when he would be there, what to expect along the way, instant written estimates and receipts. Great. I dealt with Justin and he is one of the most polite and accommodating individuals I have ever met, I didn't know this level of courtesy and respect still existed. During his first visit, he explained to me exactly what he was looking at, how to read the codes of the furnace (which will save me grief and $$$ in the future), tried to fix wat the codes indicated. When that didn't work, he investigated further, found and showed me a crack in the heating element (bad news) and so I needed a replacement. I told him my upstairs was not heating or cooling as well as my ground floor and so he checked my duct work in the crawl space for me and it checked out fine. Suggested a more powerful blower for the new furnace since that would not add to the cost. Since my air-conditioner was 29 years old, I decided we might as well replace that too while we are at it to save a little on the cost. Yes, I checked the BBB, Yelp reviews and any other reviews I could find. I double and triple checked with friends and professionals in regards to the costs, but was told by every single person that the price was extremely reasonable and I should definitely go with this company. And so I did. Again, great communication throughout, and we found a day and time that would work for both of us. It took a little longer to install than anticipated, but that is because I have a very old house and difficulties generally pop up. But Justin took it in stride even so he had to alter some parts and custom built some and in the end I had a beautifully working furnace. He cleaned up after the job and I think my house was cleaner than when he started. Not only do I now have a wonderfully warm furnace, a huge air-conditioner and a programmable thermostat, but I also have a one year warranty on labor and 10-year manufacturer warranties which Justin already registered for me. What more could you ask for?

Since then, we have run into issue after issue, all due to mistakes that were made during the original install. Each time we have reached out to Justin for help, but he continuously ghosts us and will not show up to make things right. Beware - he will only honor the 1 year labor warranty if you are willing to wait weeks before you can finally get him onsite. We have a 7mo baby and her bedroom was up to 84 degrees last night. Still waiting on a response from Justin although it's almost been a week with constant outreach from us! I've never experience such poor communication from a business owner - it's absurd. Unfortunately, this will be the third time that we're having to pay an outside company to fix our brand new AC unit. EXTREMELY disappointed and hope others don't make the same mistake as we did!
