Then when it comes to cleaning the room, there weren't any. Plus we had to dry off our towels on the rail outside my bedroom. When it come to breakfast, "What breakfast"? There was no oatmeal, maybe a couple of pieces of bread, the juice machine was pouring out clear liquid instead of grape juice. And e every day it was less breakfast items. And when it's closes time, the food is taken away before 9:00. When the owner is supposed to be helping for the guest, instead he is copying down license plate numbers to see of our people are in room. Or the busted down the door while we were dressed, to use the chain to keep the door close. Plus, when my niece & her kids come the my mothers room, the owner ask how many people we're staying in the room? My mother said that the niece & kids just got there for a family reunion. If the Days Inn people look at my review, the owner should be FIRED and put someone in take his place!!! If I travel to Brownsville TN, I'll make sure I will get another place or even go up the road to Jackson TN!

Asked for refund but he didn't know how. I feel disgusting and did not sleep well at all. Smelled like smoke even though it was a non smoking room, and the Window was unlocked! Un freaking acceptable!

Last month, I flew all the way to Tennessee to do a high-altitude, low-opening skydive (known as a…read moreH.A.L.O. jump...from 30,000 feet in the air) at the West Tennessee Skydiving Center in Whiteville. Seeing as how I didn't want to make the 60-mile commute from Memphis to Whiteville on the day of my jump, I decided to once again book a room at a Super 8 motel...which is the same thing that I did when I visited NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida back in 2009. Much like the Super 8 that I stayed at in Florida, this Super 8 is very close to West Tennessee Skydiving (WTS). The locations are convenient...with the first Super 8 (in Titusville) being only 12 miles from Kennedy Space Center, and the Whiteville Super 8 being 10-11 miles from WTS. The main downside about the Super 8s (at both locations) is that the nearest restaurants (fast food or otherwise) are quite a drive away. In the case of Whiteville, I had to travel to the nearby city of Bolivar (10 miles away) just to get something to eat at say, Taco Bell or Burger King. But at least there's a gas station right next to the Super 8...plus a liquor store that I had no intention of going to since I was unfamiliar with how safe this area was. The price you pay when you want to save gas and cash. Speaking of safety, another downside of this Super 8 (or west Tennessee in general) is that it is in Tornado Alley. On the first night of my stay at this motel, tornado sirens went off multiple times in the area as a severe thunderstorm struck Whiteville and adjoining cities. Obviously, this was nerve wracking....but the friendly motel owners were very reassuring (as I ridiculously went downstairs to the motel lobby to seek um, shelter) in that a twister hasn't veered close to the inn in all the years they were there. Glad that the owners didn't jinx their safety record with this comment! All-in-all, I'll continue using Super 8 as long as I go on these quick trips to awesome places. I'll probably book a fancy hotel room whenever I go back to Hawaii or something, but in the meantime, Super 8 is the way to go if you need an inexpensive place to rest and sleep while you're doing crazy things like jumping out of an airplane and whatnot. That is all.
