This I-40 West Rest Area is located just outside Jackson, TN. This rest area has alot to offer while traveling. It offers: restrooms, parking, picnic tables, telephones, and pet exercise areas. It's clean, neatly landscaped and has easy access with clear markings with lots of parking for cars and trucks alike Bottom line: Having been a life long music but, a radio guy and a 20+ year Me Memphis resident this i-40 rest area gets my vote for coolest named stop in the world because it's THE Isaac Hayes, Tina Turner, Booker T. and the Mg's Rest Stop! This is another beautiful rest stop dedicated to Isaac Hayes, Tina Turner, and The MG's which is now on Yelp. Clean restrooms, maps, pictures and covered and uncovered picnic areas. The landscaping is well maintained, no pets allowed in the picnic area, vending and snack machines. Next, time you are traveling the I-40W Jackson, TN stop off at the mile marker 73 and rest. This is a nice hotel. That's a good part of Jackson, Tennessee. It's safe. It's close to the interstate. The rooms were absolutely spotless. They had furniture in it. That was not too old. You could tell the mattresses and everything was good furniture. Nice mirror nice lamp nice chair air conditioner worked well. Showers were clean. Bathroom was clean sink was clean new carpet that have been placed in the ass in the last few years, very nice late lady at the front desk they checked me in. This is a good hotel would be great for a family. I'm sure the breakfast they probably got cereal and donuts and milk and you know this is comparable to a daze Inn, but it was very reasonably priced great hotel.

Just off the highway into Arkansas, off I-55 you will find the West Memphis Welcome Center. This center is staffed with friendly, knowledgable folks who are more than happy to guide you, set you up with travel info or just chat. This welcome center has all kinds of printed media to further enhance your Arkansas experience. I was in need of leg stretching and use of the facilities and I was happy to see this as an upcoming stop. Facilities were clean and sufficient enough. Minimal other things available on the inside. Outside you have ample space to stretch the legs. There are plenty of picnic tables if you wanted to eat your lunch here. There is also plenty of space to allow your four-legged friends a chance to stretch their legs as well. However, parking here is a bit awkward. Made for both cars and semi trucks alike, it doesn't allow for much room to more around the lot. Sufficient best sums this place up and it serves its purpose.

Bathroom for the ladies was clean. ( no photos for privacy reasons.) Even the park itself was nice and I loved the plants. I could easily pit stop here and enjoy a small picnic while traveling. The building itself had very true southern style house. The entrances to the breezeway and entrance. As well as the wrap around that goes to the back door.

When an impromptu emergency work call has you stay overnight. This was the third hotel I called…read morelooking for a room and if it had been based on the attitude of the individual who answered the phone it would have been a no. They only had King Suites left. I was on a fumes and kinda freaking out about other area hotels fully booked. Everything from check-in forward was as expected. Overall it is a good hotel option in the area- maybe just don't call them.
