Phoenix Home Window Tinting was my second call, with the idea that I would get a competitive bid to make sure that I was getting a fair price and product. They scheduled my estimate, I left work a little early to make sure that I could be there on time, and unfortunately, they were an hour late. I get business happens, but a call would go a long way to let the customer know what to expect. I did try to call after 30 minutes late to get a status update, and unfortunately could only speak to an AI operator. When the estimator did show up at my house, I had to inform him that I did have another appointment to get to, so I would not be able to do the estimate. While he was not rude, he was clearly agitated with me, when all I did was leave work early to try and get a quote to potential use their business, and was left hanging for an hour with no update. Based off the overall service and attitude of the estimator, I will not be using this company and will continue my search. I see a lot of great reviews for this company, my experience was definitely not of equal experience. I am changing this review to a 3 star from a 1 star because the owner did contact me. We did not come to an agreement about my experience today and I will be continuing my search, but you can tell that she does pay attention to her business and I just want to chalk this up to the law of averages. I do hope that this was the exception, and not the rule and wish them the best of luck moving forward.

So, we then had to have a plumber come out (another additional cost on top of paying our handyman) to replace our water heater completely because that was the issue the entire time. We are in this situation now because of your company and I'm livid. You should really cover all these additional charges we had to fork over to our handyman and plumber as this water heater you installed is still under warranty. The water heater your company installed is busted and this was your responsibility to fix in the first place. Very poor company. We spent 10K making our home "energy efficient" and you don't have the decency to replace our water heater when it's under warranty and also THATS YOUR JOB! What a scam!

Avoid at All Costs - Unprofessional, Poor Results, and Slanderous Behavior (Updated)…read more In addition to being terrible at their job, the owner filed a bar complaint against me, because somehow, my license as a lawyer is implicated by his own sloppy work as a contractor. I hired Sunblock Window Tint AZ to install film on a set of home windows with the goal of matching the green hue of new replacement glass. What followed was a disappointing series of miscommunications, deflections of responsibility, and ultimately, a public smear campaign when I raised concerns about the quality of the work. From the beginning, I made it very clear that the priority was matching the existing green hue of my new glass. The installer left some samples, and I approved the one that appeared closest--but only under the reasonable assumption that the professional I hired would use his expertise to get the best possible match. What was ultimately installed, however, looks nothing like the target glass. It lacks any hue whatsoever. In fact, I couldn't even tell anything had been applied to the window, which completely defeats the purpose of the job. When I raised concerns immediately after seeing the results, I was met with a dismissive attitude and a refusal to take any responsibility. His responses included: * Claiming no greener film exists (which contradicts the very reason I called him in the first place). * Blaming differences in the glass itself rather than the poor match. * Saying "everyone's eyes are different" and using that as a blanket excuse for the mismatch. * Reiterating over and over that I approved the sample, while ignoring the bigger issue: the sample did not perform as represented or expected. He even went so far as to say he "felt bad" but "would never guarantee matching different windows or film," which again, was the only reason for the project in the first place. Had he been transparent from the start that a good match wasn't achievable or that he wouldn't stand behind the result, I never would have proceeded. To add insult to injury, after I took issue with the work that didn't meet the clearly communicated objective, he publicly posted my name, address, and a false accusation that I was a scammer, along with defamatory claims about my professional history. This post included a photo of my home and was clearly intended to retaliate against me personally and professionally. This kind of conduct is not only unprofessional, it's deeply unethical. No contractor should weaponize social media to defame a customer who simply asked for a reasonable solution after subpar work. Bottom line: * The work was not done to spec. * The contractor refused to take accountability. * And when challenged, he turned to public defamation and doxing rather than resolution. Do yourself a favor--avoid this business entirely. There are plenty of reputable tint professionals in Arizona who won't attack you when you express dissatisfaction or expect them to stand by their work. Currently already working on drafting a lawsuit and ROC complaint.

We narrowed the choice to Dependable Glass in North Phoenix, for five reasons: 1. 4.9 Google rating; 2. 4.6 Yelp rating; 3. The professional and pleasant way they answered their phone; 4. They took adequate time to answer our questions about their products and services; 5. We were not rushed to make a purchase decision. THE ESTIMATOR: Dependable Glass sent John, the estimator, to our home to measure the subject window pane. He was on time, very friendly, spoke clearly, and answered all our questions without hesitation. Additionally, he assured us the installation would be performed only by Dependable Glass employees (not third-party installers). He also said the quality of work by the window installers would be A+ and come with guaranteed customer satisfaction. We received an all-inclusive price estimate that was straightforward and easy-to-read. Dependable Glass estimator guaranteed the price would not fluctuate before or during the window pane installation (no upselling). THE OFFICE: A few weeks after making a deposit, the replacement pane was delivered to Dependable Glass from the manufacturer. After that, I received a call from "MICHELLE" to select an installation date. Unfortunately, a couple of weeks before her call, my elderly wife suffered a severe in-home fall that required surgery and a hospital stay of nearly 30 days. I asked Michelle if it was possible to delay the installation until after my wife arrived home. To my pleasant surprise, Michelle said Dependable Glass would be happy to delay the installation for a month, or until we were ready. (That is GREAT service!) She verbalized her compassion about the falling accident, and that REALLY HELPED me during a difficult time. As promised, Michelle called back in 30 days to see if we were ready to book an installation date, and we were. THE INSTALLERS: The installers - James and Ethan - arrived on time, and they were well-prepared with all the required tools and components. They were one of the most pleasant installation teams I have every encountered. They were polite, respectful of the property, and they took the time to answer a few pre- and post-installation questions. James and Ethan went the "extra mile" with a special request. I wanted the large wooden Venetian blinds covering the subject window to be permanently removed before the new window pane was installed (I was unable to remove the heavy blinds due to physical disability). Without hesitation, James and Ethan completely removed the blinds for me (thank you!). After the pane was installed, the two gentlemen removed all stickers and washed the inside and outside glass to a beautiful shine. Wow! What a difference it makes to look at the backyard through clear, quality glass. WOULD WE USE DEPENDABLE GLASS AGAIN OR RECOMMEND THEM? Absolutely YES! We were very impressed with the entire process from start to finish. Everyone we spoke with at the company was pleasant and eager to provide us with excellent products and services. Everyone conveyed a feeling of "trust," which placed us at ease. Therefore, after today's installation, we had another large fogged-up window measured for replacement. I am confident we will receive the same high-quality service and product for this project, as well.

When I spoke to John his verbatim statement to me, as he chuckled, was "he was sorry Steve did a bad job reading the room." Needless to say, he did not, in anyway, show remorse for his employees distasteful and sexist behavior! Why he thought it was a laughing matter is beyond me! I am not sure what room John thinks it's appropriate for his employee to discuss sex with another man's wife but beware that this behavior is not frowned upon but a laughing matter to Dependable Glass ownership. If you are looking for a company that is going to send a man to your home who wants to discuss sex with your wife and where she should/shouldn't have it, Dependable Glass is right for you. I am baffled by this companies sexist behavior and lack of willingness to see the issue in their behavior! It's evident, management does not care about how their employees conduct themselves in the field. This companies behavior is disgusting and I would strongly encourage others to select another company, especially those who value your spouse!
