They were doing renovations in an apartment above which resulted in a very large leak where water came down and destroyed the living room ceiling and caused a massive stain in the bedroom. For reasons that are too long to explain I had no control over who came to do these repairs, but unfortunately it was Clean Break who came downstairs to repair the damage from the leak they caused. They had to cut one giant hole and one small hole in the ceiling to replace what was soaked and inspect the insulation and then replace the insulation and drywall and match the popcorning. I was promised I would not be able to tell there was ever a hole. The quality of work was so poor it almost looked intentional. I genuinely think I could have done a better job myself. The mudding was so uneven it looked like there was bulging/sagging from water damage. You could clearly see where the holes were cut out, and in several places I don't even think they sanded the mudding at all. The popcorn was roughed up around where they did the repairs to try to hide the poor leveling of the ceiling, but it looked horrible and didn't match the rest of the room let alone the whole apartment. To top it all off they didn't even paint the entire ceiling in the rooms where repairs took place, so you could see two paint colors... What I don't understand is why they would agree to do work that they are clearly not qualified to do, their company does not list renovation/restoration as an area of expertise. They do gutter cleaning, power washing etc. I called Piero to tell him how bad the work was and he was agitated and asked me what the point of the call was. He did not seem concerned at all that poor quality work was being done by his employees. He deflected any responsibility claiming he hadn't seen the work. I had to have a proper restoration company come in and sand down the entire ceiling in both rooms and redo the popcorning. I added pictures of this mess and what it looked like after a proper company did the repairs. Hopefully the owners will see this post and stick to the type of maintenance work their company lists on their website.
