So, funny story...a few weeks ago I get my carpets professionally cleaned by ServiceMasters (they…read moredo the common areas in my condo building and give residents a good discount, so it makes sense). I also had them clean my shower floors' grout, which had never been done. They did a great job but informed me of a crack in the grout in one shower, causing potential for water leakage and water damage (NOT something to mess with when living in a highrise!). They do not repair or seal grout, but they strongly advised me to get this issue tended to ASAP. Of course I freaked out. A neighbor recommended COIT, saying they re-grouted both her showers prior to moving in and they did a fabulous job. She referred me to James. I left a message for him right away, and I was so impressed that he returned my call promptly. He came by a day or so later to inspect the shower and give me an estimate (I asked to add on my master shower too, to be proactive before the grout cracked there as well). He emailed me the quote and I called and booked the appointment right away. I got lucky that there was an opening (I think there had been a cancellation), and one of their senior techs, Melissa, came the following afternoon. And she was AWESOME. SUPER knowledgeable, super professional, so so nice. Like James, they know their stuff. She totally resealed all the grout in the problematic shower and then she did some aesthetic grout work on the master shower and ensure both were water-tight and good to go. The day after Melissa worked her magic, I got a phone call from James, just to follow up and see that I was happy with the job. Now THAT'S customer service for you! I couldn't be happier with the service from COIT, from the quick response to my initial call, to the prompt service in getting the actual job done, to the quality of the actual job, and to the follow-up customer service. Top notch all the way.

We had a furnace in our house that intermittently…read moreseemed to "back gas" such that the furnace exhaust flowed into the house rather than outside. We had previously had several furnace companies look at the furnace to try to figure out the problem, without success. Accordingly, we turned off the furnace and endured some very cold winters (this was a secondary furnace, heating only a portion of the house that wasn't the main living area). I was explaining the situation to my contractor friend, who suggested that I call Brad. Brad was very prompt to return my call and, after explaining my issue, told me that he felt confident that he would be able to resolve the problem. His son Jesse came to our house and successfully identified the source of the problem within short order. Jesse was very impressive - asked lots of questions to help diagnose the issue, then methodically and thoroughly checked out various possible causes of the issue. He displayed a very strong understanding of how furnaces work, and had great trouble-shooting skills. He and I were both quite excited when he identified the problem, and even more pleased when he was able to fix it! He was very polite, patient, knowledgeable, and efficient, and left the furnace area where he had been working spotless. He also gave me some realistic expectations as to how long the furnace would last (it was over 45 years old), and what would be involved in terms of cost and installation of a new furnace, when the time comes. He also informed me about grants available when upgrading to new high efficiency furnaces. I would highly recommend Heritage for any furnace-related issues. The service was excellent and the cost very reasonable. Rating A+

Jessie arrived on time, masked up and ready to go. He first listened to what I had to tell him about the problem and read the reports from the other techs that I provided. He then looked at all components of the system and zeroed in on a couple of obvious (to him) problems. Jessie worked diligently and was not afraid to share information with me as he was performing his job. After a short time he was able to get the heat pump running as it should. He then checked to make sure ALL components of the heating system were functioning together as they should. We were facing the very real prospect of replacing this heat pump, as we had dealt with a problem that no one else could repair, at a cost of thousands of dollars. Thanks to Heritage Mountain and Jessie for rectifying the problem, saving us the cost of replacing the heat pump and saving us from further frustration. I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND Heritage Mountain Heating!!

Facebook page abandoned because they can't delete the criticism. 24-hr line but doesn't actually deliver anything like 24-hr service. That said, you'll be given the dude's cell so when he flakes on the appointment you can call to ask what's going on and listen to his kid in the background. In my case it was a spent gas furnace igniter - a tiny little part the size of an LED - supposed to be replaced every 5 years, because they normally fail after 8. I diagnosed that from the blinking lights error code before making the call, naming the part needed. Dude insisted he'd have to come out first to see for himself... tomorrow. Doesn't stock this common part in his van, nor at the heating repair company headquarters 5 minutes away, so he'll have to drive to Surrey... after the weekend. He charges for each visit of course. It went like that. He can't issue receipts on site, they will be mailed. Like that. Ultimately I made an emergency call-back some hours after the replacement part was finally installed because the dude accidentally left my furnace internally short-circuited. He left it to flame continuously, over-riding the thermostat setting, so I couldn't turn it off.

Milani Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning - I asked Ali K if he could request a new mat from Milani since this one was so filthy. Debris from the rubber was left all over my floor.

One day for the anticipated first appointment of which nobody showed and no calls or updates to the customer were made and a second day to make up for the lack of plumber on the first day. There were many calls made by us to Milani to find out if they were going to send anybody for time for the time window of 8-12 or if we would be pushed back yet another day. I think if we were not persistent with our side of communication it could have been a third day before we got help. Once we finally had a plumber, Raffy was very pleasant and respectful. He answered all of our questions and gave good advice to avoid future problems as well. Raffy was a pleasure to work with and it's unfortunate the events and lack of communication that led up to him showing up were not so impressive. I guess this is a good company for emergencies but we got shafted from the list for not being a major problem as it seemed.

I called Milani to repair my furnace and was disappointed with the overall experience…read more On the first visit, the technician confirmed there was an issue and performed some troubleshooting, but wasn't able to determine the next steps without consulting technical support. Since support wasn't available at the time, a second appointment had to be scheduled. When the technician returned, additional troubleshooting was done, including time spent consulting with technical support. A diagnosis was eventually provided, but there was no clear or practical repair path presented. Instead, I was advised that replacing the furnace would likely be the best option. My main concern is that I was charged over $600 for the service calls and ultimately ended up in essentially the same position I started in: knowing the furnace had a problem, but without a repair solution. When a company charges by the hour, there needs to be trust that the time spent is moving efficiently toward a resolution. What I found particularly frustrating is that obtaining a quote for a furnace replacement is typically free. After spending more than $600, the outcome was a recommendation to replace the unit, which made the value of the repair visits difficult to justify. I ultimately decided not to proceed with Milani for the replacement because the experience did not leave me confident that I would receive good value for the cost.
