Precision made some recommendations regarding enlarging the gutter openings and adding filters at the downspouts, this has proven to be very helpful. This year they cleaned the gutters and inspected the membrane, a few cracks were found in the membrane and repaired same day. In September I hired Shack Shine to clean the exterior of my home. The company rescheduled my…read moreappointment on very short notice moving it a day earlier than originally planned and because I was at work with windows open on one side of the house, the technician said he would return the next day to finish. When I came home, the siding, windows, and soffit were still dirty. Several windows had visible spots, a slug streak, and bird droppings. I marked the problem windows with sticky notes, but even after three visits they were never cleaned. I managed to clean the slug streaked window myself. The siding also remained unfinished, and an outside window sill at the front of my home was partially broken from the pressure washing, which I had to repair at my own expense. We arranged another visit for a Saturday, but the technician never showed and I received no call. After raising my concerns again, I was told the owner (Martin) would contact me. He eventually came, (November) an hour late, agreed the work was incomplete, and said the house needed to be redone. Since then--I have heard nothing back despite reaching out, including to ask whether soffit cleaning should be postponed due to winter temperatures. It's now December since the initial service, and I have repeatedly had to chase this company with little regard for my time or the quality of work. Based on this experience, neither I nor my family and friends will be using or recommending Shack Shine again. I will also be taking my holiday lighting business elsewhere. Photos, including the damaged window sill are attached as well as coming home to find the water tap left on. The company has received all these photos and are aware of my concerns and choose to do nothing. Overall, I don't feel a homeowner should have to repeatedly check the work to ensure it's cleaned properly. A customer should be able to trust that the job will be completed correctly the first time or make it right if it wasn't.
