They were prompt and helpful, getting me checked out swiftly and answering any questions I had. The pricing is consistent for what I have paid before. Understand that this is a small business devoted to ecologically sparing products. Pricing is going to be slightly higher than your mass produced big box chain store products. Know this going in. Know too that we're not talking double the price, the price difference is on the scale of a few dollars, which is extremely worth it for what you're getting. I've gone to Eco Now for years, especially before the pandemic. They started my journey of zero waste and love for nature. Fast forward a couple of years and I'm still a loyal customer now working for a nature conservancy restoring and rehabilitating sensitive areas in the inland empire. I went to the new Riverside store and Lia was an absolute SWEETHEART. Even though there were quite a bit of people inside she was constantly checking in with me and making me feel so welcomed. I stumbled upon this shop while walking through downtown Riverside. It's right on the end of Main street and there are lots of cute shops but let me tell you this one is AMAZING. Definitely a must stop if you are in the Riverside area. They have a bunch of eco-friendly products that make a transition to a more sustainable lifestyle accessible to everyone. There are also lot of plants, who doesn't love plants? It's two small businesses in one shared space; Eco Now and Meraki plants. They had absolutely everything from plantable greeting cards to shampoo bars and refill options. You can bring your own bottles and a refill on common necessities like dishwashing soap, laundry detergent, baking soda, vinegar and more! I got a few of their refills and all of the products seemed to be made up of really great ingredients; biodegradable, vegan, organic, etc. I can't wait to go back! The staff was so friendly and willing to answer all of my questions about ingredients, products and how to care for the plants. read more

Stumbled upon this gem during a trip to Meraki Plants (shared space with EcoNow). I've been trying to live more sustainably, and this is THE spot for those who have done this for years or for newcomers like me. I was able to pick up a few items (travel cutlery and a coconut bowl) to use at work. They have tons of products that are perfect for restocking things in bulk and for grabbing smaller quantities for travel. The employee there was also so helpful and kind, making my experience an even better one. I can't wait to use up all the existing commercial products I have at home and to slowly transition to the environmentally friendly ones here!! read more

This is an incredible find! Containers of all things eco friendly and conscious. Shampoo, conditioner (after one use of the conditioner bar, my curly, bleached hair is soft and manageable). Laundry soap, dish soap, dishwasher soap, and on it goes. Bring your own container, price is per ounce so they will weigh your container first and charge for what you get. The cost is affordable. I absolutely love this place. As we have gotten older my family and I have developed a lot of different allergies and the Eco now staff always help us to make sure we don't pick something up were allergic to. They are so awesome at helping us refill our Costco sized containers, we are a big family so our refills are big. I really like getting vinger, toner, borax and nellie's laundry soda and oxygen brightener refilled. It really helps us lower our plastic waste by a lot. Everyone is sweet and friendly. Ask all the questions you want about allllll the products. They won't shame you into buying anything you don't want. They want you to change slowly or drastically whatever you perfer. I have been to a couple of locations that are not ECO NOW stores but locations are so far away. I have to wait till I am in the area. That is frustrating because I forget to bring my container to refill. UGH! I was so impressed with this location. I brought my husband in the same week. What is also a bonus is the plant store they share the store space with. If you are plant newbie or a season plant slut. They carry everything for all types of plant lovers or black thumb divas. Very expensive, but also really good quality products. I used to drive out to B.Y.O. in Long Beach about twice a month because that was the most convenient refill store for me. I was so excited to find that a refill store had opened in Riverside, which is much more convenient for me. I have found that the products at EcoNow are quite a bit more expensive sometimes, but they are good quality or at least similar quality to B.Y.O. Some of the products are nicer, while others are exactly the same. Being able to get product refills without using single waste plastic is really important to me, but it is honestly hard with the cost. I am still getting some things at a monthly trip to B.Y.O. as I stay in budget better than way, but when I need something more quickly or want to try something new, I do get stuff at Econow pretty often. It sucks that I may spend a bit more, but the convenience of getting things close to home instead of driving 2 to 3 hours is absolutely worth it sometimes, especially after a long day at work. All of the employees have been very kind and helpful. They go above and beyond to answer my questions. They even let me bring in my husky and have treats for him, which is so sweet! read more
