We were originally considering purchasing a solar roof, but after interviewing several roofers, we decided that it was too expensive, and, at our advanced age, we would never recoup our investment. We then began evaluating contractors who install regular roofs. Although his price was not the lowest, we were impressed with Udi's careful explanation of both the materials he uses and also the process. Udi said the job would take 3 days, and he could begin on a Tuesday with the demolition of the old roofs (there were three layers). When I explained that on Wednesday (the second day of the job) I would be conducting a lecture from home and that the construction noise would interfere, he quickly said that he would have the materials delivered on that day, and that his crew would install the new roof on Thursday. On Tuesday Udi arrived along with his crew and supervised the beginning of the demo job. The men were here the better part of the day, working hard to tear off the old materials and clean up the mess. On Wednesday morning Udi called to let us know that there was a 5% chance of rain that night so he was going to send his crew over to cover the wood slats that would be exposed to the elements. We thought that was very considerate. And on Thursday, as promised, the installation occurred with Udi present at the beginning to get his crew started and at the end to make sure that the work was executed properly. All in all we were pleased with Udi's honesty, flexibility, and excellent work. read more

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Eclipse Remodeling, Inc. My inquiry email was answered within 2 hours, fully addressing my specific questions and giving links to full disclosure of the company's accreditation, link to government bond, insurance information as well as links to yelp, Angie's, and Home Advisor. The job entailed replacing five 20ft 6"x6" exposed rafters that hold up a partial roof that extends off the main roof of my house. Prior estimates from other companies ranged from $3,500 to over $7,000. Some advised removing the extended roof while others advised the opposite excluded removing the extended roof. Udi, Eclipse Remodeling owner, immediately saw the potential for leaks which could be avoided only by a whole roof replacement. However, since the roof still has quite a bit of life left, he advised I hire a handyman that would attach sister boards to either sides of the existing rafters making them strong enough until the whole roof needs replacing, at which time the five rafters would be replaced. He strongly advised I ensure whoever does the job has both the B - General Building Contractor license and C39 Roofing License. It was news to me because I erroneously thought a roofing company has accreditation for both by default. Needless to say, I am very grateful for his generous advice, and will surely be hiring him in the future when the whole roof needs replacement. read more

We interviewed several roofers and felt immediately comfortable hiring Udi. He was knowledgeable and able to accommodate our specific needs. Udi was on-site everyday and always available to answer our questions. Udi promised a much faster installation period than other contractors and was able to start quickly as well. When issues arose during installation Udi was honest and forthcoming. He was also able to help resolve the issues quickly. We needed to replace a very old skylight and fan and Udi was able to coordinate getting us an electrician right away so we could still finish the project on time. He also coordinated repair patching and painting-basically took care of anything that was needed. The result was a high quality roof at a fair price. His team of workers were also very professional and did a great job of cleaning up. We also appreciate that Udi was Covid conscious-he and his team always wore masks and took their shoes off when entering our home. We love the look of our home now, and so do our neighbors. Several people have asked for Udi's card already. We highly recommend Udi and his team of workers. read more

Great service, work and price. Udi and his team were on time and kept the site clean.

Eclipse remodeling did a great job with our roof in Woodland Hills. We were told recently that our homeowner's insurance required us to get a new roof very quickly, we called several people and had several estimates but we just didn't like most of the people who came to speak with us. When we met Udi, the owner of Eclipse, he was straightforward, made it clear exactly what would happen, how much it would cost and gave us the estimate very quickly. We didn't have to sit through hours of selling in order to get the info we needed. The roofing was done quickly and professionally and we're very happy with the result, we highly recommend Eclipse and Udi. read more

Udi and his team were awesome in putting a new roof on our house. His team did all the big things and the small things right. They were on time and finished the project ahead of schedule. Our new roof is a great upgrade with a great warranty and a competitive price. I would highly recommend Udi and Eclipse for your project. read more

Udi was the first person I called for an estimate on getting a new roof; I'm so glad I did. His assessment and recommendations proved to be more thorough than those of later bids and I was able to draw on what I learned from him in interviewing subsequent roofers. The trust he inspired turned out to be well-founded, as he agreeably sent team members to correct a small issue that I discovered two weeks after completion. Udi was able to fit me in on a tight schedule - right before the rains in December - and his team worked quickly and cleaned up carefully. His pricing was fair and transparent. Highly recommend! read more

Udi is professional and reliable. I received quotes from 4 companies for the replacement of our roof, and Udi spent the most time with me explaining the options for the materials and the work process. He was the most knowledgeable of those who gave quotes and gave the most competitive price for the most thorough job. Two gave lower quotes for a less thorough job, but I trusted Udi's description of why a more thorough job was needed. He and his crew worked quickly and were clean and professional during the job. It hasn't rained yet, and the roof was just laid down, so I can't speak to that, but I have every reason to believe that it was a quality job. I'll amend my comment if it turns out to be otherwise. Thanks, Udi! read more

I found Eclipse right here on Yelp. I was researching roofers and found Eclipse because of its 5-star rating and many enthusiastic reviews. I submitted a request for a quote (awesome feature, Yelp!) and Udi, whose customer service skills were a prominent feature of the reviews, contacted me soon thereafter. When he and his associate, Karen, came to my house the following day, Udi explained his process and showed me the materials he uses. I had already met with other roofers and they had submitted bids that were mostly higher than Udi's (one was a few thousand lower), but none of them had included all the under layers that Udi included. I figured that they're all using about the same quality shingles that they all likely get from the same distributor, but I was sold by all the protective layers that Eclipse uses. And if you're going to pay this much for something, you want the peace of mind to know that it is an investment that is going to last for a long time. On the day of the job, Udi's sizable crew showed up on time and promptly got to work. They nearly finished the job the first day, which was impressive. They returned the following day and finished the job around noon. Udi was there at the beginning and came by a few times during the job to make sure there weren't any problems. When the crew left at mid day on Wednesday, I walked across the street to look at my house and admire how beautiful and transformative the new roof was! Wow! Both Udi and Karen have checked in with me since the job was completed and to make sure that I was satisfied. I am and I would highly recommend this company. read more

I heartily recommend Eclipse Remodeling. I needed new fascia boards in addition to a new roof. Over the course of a month, I collected quotes from 8 different vendors, but I couldn't find a roofer who would give me a reasonable price for both; either the roof quote or fascia board quote was exorbitantly high or too low, or I would need to hire a separate contractor for each. Fortunately, the 9th vendor I met was Eclipse Remodeling. Its quote for both roof & fascia boards fell somewhere in the middle, price wise. The owner Udi is super knowledgeable and straightforward; I honestly believe that he bases his recommendations on quality and value as if he were installing a roofing system on his own house. I had a ton of questions (shingle durability, solar reflectivity, possible house paint color combinations, etc) and he took the time to carefully explain and address my concerns. I also appreciated that he didn't pressure me into an immediate, on-the-spot hiring decision like some of the others. His crew members were very efficient and courteous. They were able to complete our roof in 2 days and cleaned up everything before leaving each day. I was very impressed with the overall professionalism of Eclipse Remodeling. TL; DR. Although I received cheaper bids from elsewhere, the excellent service, workmanship, and most importantly, peace of mind was well worth the cost difference. I knew I could trust Udi. We now have an amazing looking roof with a lifetime warranty. I had an extremely positive experience with him & his team and highly suggest hiring them for your new roofing needs. read more

Eclipse Remodeling & Roofing - Roofing Near Me - Van Nuys, California

I didn't think I would ever describe a roof as "pretty," but here I am - calling my new roof pretty. The attention to detail just blew my mind. The corners were tucked in, the flashing was perfect, and the vents he suggested fit the roof and the shape of my house perfectly. His crew arrived early each day, were very nice, and at the end of the day cleaned all of their work. Udi was always easy to reach, very communicative, and addressed any questions or concerns quickly. Also, no weird smarmy sales vibe. He came, provided his estimate, described in detail everything that was included, and kept his word on everything promised. They're not the least expensive - but seriously worth the little extra! (And bonus: my husband works weird hours and I was the one gathering estimates from all of the companies. He was one of the only ones that didn't insist on my husband being home and was happy to work with me. And no slimy up selling. He stayed on budget, I didn't get any weird calls later on telling me about a "problem"). Highly, highly recommended!! read more

To say that Udi and his team are fantastic is an understatement! We needed our roof replaced in rapid time and Udi was our guy. No hesitation whatsoever and the time and effort he put into the project was impecable. Cannot give enough positive praise to begin to explain the seamless process. Thank you for doing such an amazing job and truly making our roof look like a masterpiece. You definitely are our go-to guy for any and all of our future projects! read more

My husband and I had a great experience with Udi and his team at Eclipse Remodeling. Udi explained the process to us from start to finish and was very proactive in helping to solve an issue with the overhang on our front porch and coming up with a great solution. He checked in several times a day and his team cleaned up at the end of each day. They left our yard area spotless when they were finished and they finished the job ahead of schedule--even when our neighborhood had a power outage! Absolutely considerate, friendly and VERY professional. Thanks Udi! read more

We moved back to So Cal this fall, after unexpectedly being gone for a few years. When we arrived, we found our old roof in desperate shape. Knowing that the rainy season was coming, we immediately started looking for someone to replace it. We looked at reviews and had several bids. In the end we chose Eclipse remodeling. They weren't the cheapest and they weren't the most expensive. We liked the way Udi, the owner, spent time explaining the process and products that he used. It was clear that he demanded the highest performance from the products he used and the crew he employed and paid attention to the details. Eclipse was the only company who bid the job that included lifetime warranty as standard of practice. When it came time to put the roof on he doubled the crew and the project was done in 2 days. Udi was at the site every day to make sure his crew had the information to do things right. There were lots of little things that put Eclipse into a 5 star rating from the excellent workmanship, keeping the site clean, making sure a portable toilet was on site for the crew, frequent inspections and walk arounds with us. When we were done with the roof replacement, we decided to also have the house painted. Again, a competitive quote and great service. The exterior needed repair in several places. When done, it was absolutely impossible to see where the repair had been done, because they were committed to doing the job right. As with the roof, the painting crew was great, kept the site clean, a toilet was provided for them, and Udi was on site and had frequent walk arounds with us. When we were trying to decide on the color, he even had a few test patches painted on different aspects of the house to help us decide. Final phase was gutter replacement. Again, top notch. The were only a few little issues that came up (as they do in any project), were efficiently resolved. Udi takes ownership in the project and it is clear that doing it right is number one priority for him. I highly recommend Eclipse Remodeling as a solid company, with an owner who delivers what he promises. read more

It truly doesn't get any better than this. We had an unfortunate experience several years ago with a roofer and were a bit gun-shy when looking for someone to redo our roof. From the first contact, Udi put our minds to rest that the job would be done well. He was here at least once a day, staying in contact if case we had any questions. The workers showed up early each day and worked hard til the sun set. They were polite and cleaned up after themselves each day, leaving the site cleaner than when they first began. The price was more than fair, considering they took the roof right down to the sheeting, which the other two roofers who bid the job would not have done. Only the best materials were used, as per our selection. They also repaired and reroofed our patio cover so it would never leak again (at least not in our lifetime!). All in all, this was the best remodeling/repair experience we have ever had. Will look forward to having Eclipse bid to paint our house as well, as they have proven they are reliable, trustworthy, and their customer service and work is unparalleled. read more

We went with Eclipse to replace our roof because the reviews were good, and we weren't disappointed. They got back to us fast on the estimate, came back with a competitive price, and clearly knew their stuff when we spoke in person. After choosing them, they got to us even faster than they originally promised, and the whole project, from tear-down to inspection, approval and cleanup, were done in a week (including the day they lost because the first inspection was rescheduled). All-in-all, they did fantastic work on the roof, have a great warranty, and did everything by the book. Would definitely use again. read more

We were very impressed with Eclipse Remodeling and Udi in particular when it came to our recent re-roofing job. From the first meeting, Udi was upfront about the project and the pricing, unlike other companies that threw out a much higher quote and then reduced it with BS deductions, but only if we committed on the spot. Even though rain pushed back our roof for a week, Udi used a double crew for shingle removal and finished the whole re-roofing within 2 days, better than expected, even though we had a few problem areas that needed more wood. The crew seemed to work hard and we had several visits from Udi telling us what the process would be. We had delayed getting the roof redone for too long, but we are glad that Udi and Eclipse handled it as well as they did. read more

Ehud (Udi) and his team did a fantastic job of replacing our entire roof. No complaints from the start. I sat down with Ehud to get a quote, and he provided a thorough explanation of the products and each step of the process. Ehud was extremely easy to work with and kept in touch every step of the way as he was very responsive to questions and updated us consistently. Prior to meeting with Ehud, I met with 4 other companies and none were impressive and flexible as Eclipse Remodeling. We had old wood shingles that had to be removed and replaced with plywood for the base prior to installing the Owens Corning shingles. There were more materials included (i.e., synthetic underlayment, ice and water barriers, metal flashings, flat vents, and rubber collar on vent pipes). To prevent additional mess and for easy clean-up, the guys covered the perimeter of the house and the pool with heavy duty plastic cover. The guys fixed our rotting wood sidings and fascia boards and installed new gutters. We couldn't have chosen a better company so, If you need your roof fixed or replaced, look no further and contact Eclipse Remodeling. Update 2/22/2019 Eclipse Remodeling also painted the entire exterior of our house including the patio and portions of our house's interior. Ehud explained the paint options and each step of the process. The exterior was water blasted, 4-6" trench around the perimeter, repaired any holes and cracks, primer applied, then 2 coats of the paint. We opted for the elastomeric paint, which is flexible and more durable than standard paint. In addition, they also replaced and repaired any rotting wood (window trims, eaves, patio, etc...). Ehud had plenty of patience as we had challenges picking the paint colors/combination. He gave us three options for the exterior paint, trims, and interior so, a total of nine types of paints that his guys tested on the walls so that we can have a better idea how the paint would look like. Ehud didn't display any frustration whatsoever, his attitude was always customer-focused and he did what would make us happy. I'm sure I'm forgetting some things they did. Again, we were extremely happy with the results! read more

What can I say? Hands down one of the best contractors/roofers I have ever had the pleasure of working with. After the recent rain storm here in LA (Feb 2019), I discovered leaks in my house I never knew existed. I sought out several contractors, some who never got back to me, but Udi, owner of ER and his team, got back to me within a day, set up a time to come out, assessed the damage, gave me a fair estimate, and began work immediately. His team was hard working, professional, and showed an amazing level of craftsmanship, and Udi was precise in explaining what had to be done and why; no hidden BS, and took pride at doing a job that represented their quality of craftsmanship, and work. This will be the first contractor I contact for future jobs needed for my home, and ER has raised the bar for other contractors in the LA area. I've worked with many, and it's hard to believe anybody could beat the work, professionalism, and kindness Udi and his team have shown. Thank you!!! read more

Udi and his team at Eclipse Remodeling are exceptional. There's a great deal of pride in the work and consideration for the client. Every step of the process was clearly explained, work was completed faster than originally expected, and all of the workers wore PPE. The crew was clean and job site was super efficient! Our roof looks amazing and we're using Eclipse to paint our house next. read more

Udi is amazing to work with. His work is excellent and his prices are fair. He repaired my roof, but that's not all. Walls in my house needed paint from roof leaks. I called Udi. Plumbing in my kitchen sink was leaking. I called Udi. He replaced the plumbing and installed new tiling. I needed an AC/heating person. I called Udi. Don't call anyone else to fix your problems until you've called Udi first. He is my go-to for anything and everything. I can't believe I finally found someone to call when things in my house go wrong. One more time: call Udi first! read more

Replacing a roof can be messy, costly and overwhelming but Udi and his team delivered. The best part is Udi explains everything upfront and the follow through is exact. I hired Eclipse Remodeling to install a new shingle roof on my house. Udi and his team were excellent!! They covered everything they possibly could to minimize the mess. The roof came out really nice!!! Udi is a really good guy!! He takes pride in the work that is done on your home!! I feel that's pretty rare nowadays. I have hired him to do a paint job also, which is almost done. It is looking so good! I plan on a kitchen and bathroom remodel in the near future, and I plan on having Udi handle that as well. We love Udi!! He is a perfectionist, knowledgeable, and one of the most ethical contractors I know! He takes the time to explain the whole job before he starts (in layman terms) - he tells you exactly everything that will be done step by step and what will be replaced (which is just about everything) on the roof! We thought we had only 3 layers of roof that needed to come off, but once they started it turned out we had 4 layers and we weren't even charged for that extra layer! The roof turned out looking great! Udi takes pride in his work and wants you to be happy. Again I must comment how ethical he is - He is an exception to the rule when it comes to contractors. You can trust him. read more

I had an excellent experience with them. The biggest takeaway I had was that from the first meeting you could tell that they took pride in their work. The owner of the company sat down and took the time to explain my different roofing options and to explain all of the different steps. During this discussion you could tell that he took personal pride in how every one his projects turned out. Anytime someone takes ownership and pride in their work you know they care about the quality and will do everything they can to make sure it turns out great. Once completed we were thrilled with the work and the pride his team takes showed through. read more

I contacted Eclipse based on their overwhelming positive Yelp reviews and I couldn't be happier. We desperately needed our roof completely redone, and Udi and Eclipse did a wonderful job. Their sales person came and provided a thorough overview of the job, and provided a quote on the spot. He promised that there would not be a hard sales pitch (not even a follow-up call, which there wasn't), and a lot of honesty: he admitted that they wouldn't be the least expensive, but assured quality. He also explained things to look for when getting quotes from other vendors: Licensing Board details, homeadvisor reviews, worker's comp, etc. He encouraged getting other quotes from other vendors, almost expecting that they would not match Eclipse for quality. And he was right - other vendors arrived late, provided less information, started tacking on extras when they looked at the roof, and followed up with persistent hard sales calls. I also called five previous customers and received glowing reviews of Eclipse's performance. When we agreed to go with it, Udi the owner came by and talked through paperwork, and we settled on dates. His estimates were on target - the price never changed, and the work was done exactly within the time frame he provided (with room to spare). Every day, they thoroughly cleaned up all around our house, including the neighbor's driveway. They worked fast, and focused on quality. When I had a couple of questions after the work was done, Udi returned and personally went onto the roof to make sure everything was okay (which it was). I couldn't be happier with Eclipse. You will not be disappointed. read more
