I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Eclipse Remodeling, Inc. My inquiry email was answered within 2 hours, fully addressing my specific questions and giving links to full disclosure of the company's accreditation, link to government bond, insurance information as well as links to yelp, Angie's, and Home Advisor. The job entailed replacing five 20ft 6"x6" exposed rafters that hold up a partial roof that extends off the main roof of my house. Prior estimates from other companies ranged from $3,500 to over $7,000. Some advised removing the extended roof while others advised the opposite excluded removing the extended roof. Udi, Eclipse Remodeling owner, immediately saw the potential for leaks which could be avoided only by a whole roof replacement. However, since the roof still has quite a bit of life left, he advised I hire a handyman that would attach sister boards to either sides of the existing rafters making them strong enough until the whole roof needs replacing, at which time the five rafters would be replaced. He strongly advised I ensure whoever does the job has both the B - General Building Contractor license and C39 Roofing License. It was news to me because I erroneously thought a roofing company has accreditation for both by default. Needless to say, I am very grateful for his generous advice, and will surely be hiring him in the future when the whole roof needs replacement. read more

We interviewed several roofers and felt immediately comfortable hiring Udi. He was knowledgeable and able to accommodate our specific needs. Udi was on-site everyday and always available to answer our questions. Udi promised a much faster installation period than other contractors and was able to start quickly as well. When issues arose during installation Udi was honest and forthcoming. He was also able to help resolve the issues quickly. We needed to replace a very old skylight and fan and Udi was able to coordinate getting us an electrician right away so we could still finish the project on time. He also coordinated repair patching and painting-basically took care of anything that was needed. The result was a high quality roof at a fair price. His team of workers were also very professional and did a great job of cleaning up. We also appreciate that Udi was Covid conscious-he and his team always wore masks and took their shoes off when entering our home. We love the look of our home now, and so do our neighbors. He was the most knowledgeable of those who gave quotes and gave the most competitive price for the most thorough job. I found Eclipse right here on Yelp. I was researching roofers and found Eclipse because of its 5-star rating and many enthusiastic reviews. I submitted a request for a quote (awesome feature, Yelp!) and Udi, whose customer service skills were a prominent feature of the reviews, contacted me soon thereafter. When he and his associate, Karen, came to my house the following day, Udi explained his process and showed me the materials he uses. I had already met with other roofers and they had submitted bids that were mostly higher than Udi's (one was a few thousand lower), but none of them had included all the under layers that Udi included. I figured that they're all using about the same quality shingles that they all likely get from the same distributor, but I was sold by all the protective layers that Eclipse uses. And if you're going to pay this much for something, you want the peace of mind to know that it is an investment that is going to last for a long time. On the day of the job, Udi's sizable crew showed up on time and promptly got to work. They nearly finished the job the first day, which was impressive. They returned the following day and finished the job around noon. Udi was there at the beginning and came by a few times during the job to make sure there weren't any problems. When the crew left at mid day on Wednesday, I walked across the street to look at my house and admire how beautiful and transformative the new roof was! Wow! I heartily recommend Eclipse Remodeling. I needed new fascia boards in addition to a new roof. Over the course of a month, I collected quotes from 8 different vendors, but I couldn't find a roofer who would give me a reasonable price for both; either the roof quote or fascia board quote was exorbitantly high or too low, or I would need to hire a separate contractor for each. Fortunately, the 9th vendor I met was Eclipse Remodeling. Its quote for both roof & fascia boards fell somewhere in the middle, price wise. The owner Udi is super knowledgeable and straightforward; I honestly believe that he bases his recommendations on quality and value as if he were installing a roofing system on his own house. I had a ton of questions (shingle durability, solar reflectivity, possible house paint color combinations, etc) and he took the time to carefully explain and address my concerns. I also appreciated that he didn't pressure me into an immediate, on-the-spot hiring decision like some of the others. His crew members were very efficient and courteous. They were able to complete our roof in 2 days and cleaned up everything before leaving each day. I was very impressed with the overall professionalism of Eclipse Remodeling. TL; DR. We moved back to So Cal this fall, after unexpectedly being gone for a few years. When we arrived, we found our old roof in desperate shape. Knowing that the rainy season was coming, we immediately started looking for someone to replace it. We looked at reviews and had several bids. In the end we chose Eclipse remodeling. They weren't the cheapest and they weren't the most expensive. We liked the way Udi, the owner, spent time explaining the process and products that he used. It was clear that he demanded the highest performance from the products he used and the crew he employed and paid attention to the details. Eclipse was the only company who bid the job that included lifetime warranty as standard of practice. When it came time to put the roof on he doubled the crew and the project was done in 2 days. Udi was at the site every day to make sure his crew had the information to do things right. There were lots of little things that put Eclipse into a 5 star rating from the excellent workmanship, keeping the site clean, making sure a portable toilet was on site for the crew, frequent inspections and walk arounds with us. When we were done with the roof replacement, we decided to also have the house painted. Again, a competitive quote and great service. The exterior needed repair in several places. When done, it was absolutely impossible to see where the repair had been done, because they were committed to doing the job right. As with the roof, the painting crew was great, kept the site clean, a toilet was provided for them, and Udi was on site and had frequent walk arounds with us. When we were trying to decide on the color, he even had a few test patches painted on different aspects of the house to help us decide. Final phase was gutter replacement. Again, top notch. The were only a few little issues that came up (as they do in any project), were efficiently resolved. It truly doesn't get any better than this. We had an unfortunate experience several years ago with a roofer and were a bit gun-shy when looking for someone to redo our roof. From the first contact, Udi put our minds to rest that the job would be done well. He was here at least once a day, staying in contact if case we had any questions. The workers showed up early each day and worked hard til the sun set. They were polite and cleaned up after themselves each day, leaving the site cleaner than when they first began. The price was more than fair, considering they took the roof right down to the sheeting, which the other two roofers who bid the job would not have done. Only the best materials were used, as per our selection. They also repaired and reroofed our patio cover so it would never leak again (at least not in our lifetime!). Ehud (Udi) and his team did a fantastic job of replacing our entire roof. No complaints from the start. I sat down with Ehud to get a quote, and he provided a thorough explanation of the products and each step of the process. Ehud was extremely easy to work with and kept in touch every step of the way as he was very responsive to questions and updated us consistently. Prior to meeting with Ehud, I met with 4 other companies and none were impressive and flexible as Eclipse Remodeling. We had old wood shingles that had to be removed and replaced with plywood for the base prior to installing the Owens Corning shingles. There were more materials included (i.e., synthetic underlayment, ice and water barriers, metal flashings, flat vents, and rubber collar on vent pipes). To prevent additional mess and for easy clean-up, the guys covered the perimeter of the house and the pool with heavy duty plastic cover. The guys fixed our rotting wood sidings and fascia boards and installed new gutters. We couldn't have chosen a better company so, If you need your roof fixed or replaced, look no further and contact Eclipse Remodeling. Update 2/22/2019 Eclipse Remodeling also painted the entire exterior of our house including the patio and portions of our house's interior. Ehud explained the paint options and each step of the process. The exterior was water blasted, 4-6" trench around the perimeter, repaired any holes and cracks, primer applied, then 2 coats of the paint. We opted for the elastomeric paint, which is flexible and more durable than standard paint. In addition, they also replaced and repaired any rotting wood (window trims, eaves, patio, etc...). Ehud had plenty of patience as we had challenges picking the paint colors/combination. He gave us three options for the exterior paint, trims, and interior so, a total of nine types of paints that his guys tested on the walls so that we can have a better idea how the paint would look like. Ehud didn't display any frustration whatsoever, his attitude was always customer-focused and he did what would make us happy. I'm sure I'm forgetting some things they did. I contacted Eclipse based on their overwhelming positive Yelp reviews and I couldn't be happier. We desperately needed our roof completely redone, and Udi and Eclipse did a wonderful job. Their sales person came and provided a thorough overview of the job, and provided a quote on the spot. He promised that there would not be a hard sales pitch (not even a follow-up call, which there wasn't), and a lot of honesty: he admitted that they wouldn't be the least expensive, but assured quality. He also explained things to look for when getting quotes from other vendors: Licensing Board details, homeadvisor reviews, worker's comp, etc. He encouraged getting other quotes from other vendors, almost expecting that they would not match Eclipse for quality. And he was right - other vendors arrived late, provided less information, started tacking on extras when they looked at the roof, and followed up with persistent hard sales calls. I also called five previous customers and received glowing reviews of Eclipse's performance. When we agreed to go with it, Udi the owner came by and talked through paperwork, and we settled on dates. His estimates were on target - the price never changed, and the work was done exactly within the time frame he provided (with room to spare). Every day, they thoroughly cleaned up all around our house, including the neighbor's driveway. They worked fast, and focused on quality. When I had a couple of questions after the work was done, Udi returned and personally went onto the roof to make sure everything was okay (which it was). I couldn't be happier with Eclipse.
