We needed a quick dinner option but I didn't want anything greasy or heavy. We used GrubHub via the Yelp app to get Eclipse Pizza delivered. All of our food was so fresh and tasty! The apple goat cheese salad is addictive with its creamy goat cheese and sweet champagne vinaigrette. All of the veggies on our Downieville pizza were crisp and cooked to perfection (fresh jalapeños had some heat!). The kids loved the half cheese and half pepperoni. The delivery was prompt. This is one of our frequent pizza places when we are in Northwest Reno. It is located at McCarran and Mayberry and is known for having great pizzas and in my opinion even better salads. They offered both indoor and outdoor seating with a smaller indoor upstairs availability. It is an older style structure and has a casual comfortable feel to it. Parking is limited due to the size of the strip mall and location so we primarily utilize their take out option. They offer both an online and phone in order system, which is convenient if you want to pick something up when they first open. read more

This is a small place, you order at the counter and pay, they give you a number and a server delivers your order. We went on a Thursday night to try it out. Ticket time was good, beers came first, then salad in 7 minutes and our two pizzas arrived hot from the oven in 20 minutes. My thin crust pizza was tasty, tender crust but crispy not soggy at all. Loved the red sauce and mozzarella cheese was fresh. Hubby ordered a gluten free pizza. Crust was not that good, but I didn't deduct any stars because, well, pizza is all about the chewy gluten dough. Gluten free pizza is an oxymoron to me. They had 5 or so beers on tap. There is about 3 tables downstairs and 5 or so tables upstairs. There's a good sized dog friendly patio outside. read more

I've experienced Eclipse Pizza a few times since my 2016 review and they continue to impress. I still love their high-quality ingredients, diverse and thoughtful menu, and the great customer experience. I recently ordered the The Luca$h Delight and it was so good! We are pesto pizza fans and Eclipse always knows how to deliver. I also love their dough as it is thin but has good structure to it and the crust tastes delicious on its own. I called in and ordered my latest pizza for takeout. Eclipse was friendly on the phone and gave an accurate time estimate for the pizza to be ready. When I picked up the pizza, they had a cart in front of the door where I could make the payment and pick up the pizza without going inside. I appreciated the COVID compliance and the general sense of sanitation and care that the staff put in during these times. read more

This local pizza spot had some of the tastiest topping pizza creations. I ordered the bbq chicken and moustache ride pizzas. I enjoyed that both pizzas weren't so thick but had some thinner Crispy texture to them. The bbq chicken had a good bbq sauce and the chicken was tender. It's probably the best bbq pizza I've tried. The pesto sauce on the moustache ride had me wanting more! This pizza felt like a margarita style pizza. The Prices are reasonable and less than other pizza spots around town. Lots of topping options. Fun concoctions. The gluten free and cauliflower crust options are still too pricey imo. We ordered two small pizzas: the JAM and the total eclipse. Both were delicious and full of flavor. For us, the small is just enough to share or can be split into two meals. It's great because you're not spending a ton of money and eating pizza for days and days. We also ordered a dozen buffalo wings. They were yummy but I do wish they offered blue cheese instead of ranch. Pizzas and wings were ready in 30 minutes. Both were packed with flavor in every bite. You can tell that their cheese is top quality and their wheat crust is perfect. If you're a fan of pesto, I'd order the islander pizza as is, but if you're used to the traditional "Hawaiian" style pizza, I'd swap out the pesto base for a tomato base. Don't forget to ask for a side of ranch, red pepper and extra parm cheese if that's your thing. If you know what you like, there's also an option to build your own pizza. On to the food... we had ordered there kinds of pizza; pepperoni, mergueritta, and another type that had jalepenos (I can't remember what it is called to save my life). This place is a hidden gem.. and literally it is pretty hidden in this plaza, but well worth the hunt! I was suggested this place by a patient of mine who stated it was "The Best Pizza in Reno" and I'd say so far it is pretty up there! I brought the pizza to a friends house. We all tried The Mustache Rider and The Pep Talk Pizza (which are pictured on Yelp). Nobody could decide which type was better! I also was impressed with their socially distant patio (and looked like it might be pet friendly!). We were also pleased with the price. We've been feeling like a lot of the other local pizza places have been overpriced, but Eclipse Pizza Co. was more fair. We will be back!
