I went in for a mani/pedi on a Tuesday afternoon. I upgraded my hand polish to gel so that it would last longer. In less than 2 days my polish was peeling off. I would not recommend for a regular-polish manicure - they kept pressuring me to switch to gel and made it a worse experience for these reasons: 1. They didn't wait long enough for each layer of paint to dry so it continued to smudge even hours after I left the salon. I told them this was a concern at the time and they said it was because it's regular polish (but everyone knows you need to let each layer dry before you add the next..). They also said that "gel wouldn't do that". Ok, but that doesn't mean I deserve dinged up nails..? 2. I asked for a design but they said they don't do designs with regular polish, only for gel. They said it would take too long to dry between each layer, but they rushed even the main polish layers drying anyways. 3. They used an almost-empty bottle of polish and had to add polish thinner to the bottle in order to have enough to finish my nails. The cuticle care / pedicure was fine other than that, though.. but pretty bummed my nails look smudged at the end of the same day. read more

I called ahead to make sure there wasn't a wait and was able to get an appointment within 10 minutes. As soon as I walked in, I was seated in one of the many pedicure chairs. The sweet nail technician (Cindy) showed me a menu for the different pedicure offerings and then quickly got to working on me. My calves were sore from wearing high heels the night before so of course I elected for the pedicure with the 10 minute massage. Bliss. I saw a bunch of ladies getting their sets in so I can't wait to return to try for myself. Some of the nail art I briefly glanced at looked amazing -- all art that was certainly Pinterest worthy. I really like this location and appreciate the convenient hours. However, during my recent pedicure, I noticed the nail tech was reusing a nail file, which is a concern for sanitation. Given the prices and the owner's consistent presence, I expected more attention to hygiene practices, especially when they are diligent about charging for every detail. For the rates they charge, it would be reassuring to see a new, disposable nail file used for each client to match the level of service you would expect!!! Not going to lie, every time I come here I always leave with some design/color that I never wanted. I've been to this salon 3 times and this is my last time. The first time I got powder and their powder was very transparent, you can see your natural nails underneath. Second time I came and asked for a light green color and the powder wasn't even green. It was an off white color. The girl that did my nails convinced me that it was a nice color so I kept it because I did not want to wait another hour. Luckily the owner gave me a discount on those nails. Yesterday, I walked in and asked if they have any open slots for a full set design. Owner was able to fit me in however the first girl( Queenie) that did my nails was upset that he forced her to work because she needed to leave early. I spent 40 mins with her taking out her anger on my nails. She was so aggressive when she took off my old set and almost cut me. It was a painful experience. Not only that but she was complaining to her coworkers in Vietnamese that she didn't want to do this and needed to leave. She kept looking at her phone and messing up on my nails.. she couldn't put the powder on properly and kept taking it off 4 times. I felt so bad for her so I told her we can change the design to a simple French tip because she was clearly struggling.. In the end, I spoke to the owner and he let that employee go home and a different lady did my nails. I came at 4pm and it was already 4:45pm and none of my nails were done. I just wanted to leave so I asked her to do something nice and fast. She did my nails really nice but I am still upset because originally I wanted something else. Eclipse has a lot of stations and workers for both mani & pedis. They also have 2 small pedicure chairs for the kids. It feels very clean with their white tables and bright lights. They have a waiting area and also have nail colors displayed along the wall so you can select your color while waiting. Nail technicians are a hit or miss. If you find a good one get their name. I've had both good and bad techs. I don't like the techs that ask too much info (seems more nosey than small talk). Cost can add up especially if you add things like nail designs, but I feel like it's still very reasonable here. Once they're done they'll give you a receipt which you take to the front desk to pay. The front desk guys are always nice. There is a slight discount if you pay in cash but they also accept card. They also have an atm machine available inside for a fee if you want to withdraw cash. read more

I had pretty much given up on having my nails done as no salon usually accommodates my request to not have the drill used on my natural nails. I have paper-thin nails (med reasons), that offer little to no buffer from drill so using one is super painful. My request is always to simply have builder gel placed over my natural nails. Trish was immediately understanding and did exactly what I wanted while also checking in occasionally to make sure I wasn't in pain. Trisha did an awesome job with my feet, and the massage was nice and relaxing, though I couldn't stop laughing during my sugar scrub. Spot is neat with complimentary coffee and tea. Came in for a gel pedicure and a dip manicure. The salon is very bright, clean, and decorated simply giving off a welcoming vibe. Hanah did my pedicure and it was absolutely wonderful, so relaxing. She kept nicking me with the dremel tool and at one point while using the cuticle tool she hurt me enough to the point that I said "ouch" to which she replied "it's ok, we have to do that to shape your nails." My nails came out crooked, inconsistently thick and looking like I let a small child paint them with the amount of mess left behind. To the salons credit when I went to pay and told the cashier that I was less than happy with how my dip turned out he offered to have someone fix it for me immediately, but I declined as I had already been there for two hours and just wanted to leave. He then offered to have me come back the next day to fix the issues I had but I told him no thank you, I will not be returning. I usually come here to get my toes done all the time and they do a good job with asking how short or what shape. I usually let any girl who's available do them because how could you mess up toe nails? But today, there's this one girl, name Tina, she cut my toe nails way too short and i asked for square shape and filed them round. Workers here are not careful or gentle at all. Staff are very bossy and unkind. My nails were so poorly done that you can still see my old acrylic nail, blood, and old nail polish through Tina's work. I called ahead to see how long the wait is and was told it'll be 15 mins. No problem since I live nearby. I got there and waited a couple of minutes. I tried to log on to the wifi but I guess they changed their password. The person who did my manicure seems like she's inexperienced. She didn't even look at my nails to see what could be done. It seems like she spoke Vietnamese, I have no problem with that. I was uncomfortable because I have a limp arm and she didn't know how to manage that. My thumb kept clamping up and she didn't know how to deal with it. She painted my 9 nails first. I didn't like the way how she handle my nails. She left a bubble on one nail. The uv light thing kept hitting my nails because she wasn't careful how she place it. My friend and I don't like our nails because it's too bulky. They charge me 5 dollars more than the original price so I had to let them know. They apologized but I don't think I will come back. read more

So I've been here before just for a regular gel mani but decided I was going to go for a new look this year. For regular gel mani I had a good experience but not so much after. 1. Green ones are January nails. I decided to do Gel X, i asked and they said they had on person who knew how to do them but that I'd have to wait (which was totally fine). The issue was I showed her the INSPO pic and she said she could do it but within the first nail I already knew that it was going to be a big no and since the tips were already on I just asked her for a solid color but I could tell she was annoyed so I just asked for a green. I asked her if she could do shorter and she said it would look ugly and I asked her again and she said it would shorten when they filed (they didn't). One of the reasons I wanted gel x tips is because they're supposed to be more gentle with your nails beds but when I went again the next month they used a nail tip to separate it from my nail and it hurt and I could see and FEEL my natural nail being forced off . 2. Second time I went for FEB, When I went it it was busy (again totally fine) I didn't have an appointment so I understood. This time I asked for acrylics since the weird part is that other girls with no appointments where getting seated before me (they engaged in convo with the front desk guy so I feel like there was preference to people he knew). Then he came and told me they were waiting for someone who specialized in acrylics because they only had one (same thing I was told about gel x). I ended up waiting almost two hours . I showed her the nail INSPO pic and she said she could do it. I lowkey feel like the lady had an attitude because she did the application so fast, she didn't even do my cuticle :( I asked for a FRENCH TIP and showed her and she gave me a Spanish tip. I asked for shorter and she kept saying "later" . When she was filing I kept having to ask her to go back and fix them and everytime I did she would mutter something in her language. When I saw she wasn't giving me the French tip i wanted , I said nevermind on the glitter line because it wouldn't look good with the style she gave me . I asked her instead for some red gem cherries like in the pic and she gave me one huge as cherry on one nail so I just asked her to take it off . Even after me having to keep correcting her my nails bed were so flood by day two they were already lifting really badly from the base they looked horrible . Overall I don't think I'd go back again. Again if you want regular mani/pedi they're good but I wouldn't go for anything else again. read more
