On the hunt for a really good salon in San Jose I'm not sure if this was from the acrylic or gel (see pictures) but it's ugly. This was a refill/fix from another salon I do think it is better from the last one I will be giving them another try for a fresh set, hoping I won't be let down. I did only pay $30 but this isn't professional.
They are very nice ladies. But the nails 0-10 Big 0 . She did a terrible job,took 2hours my appointment was at 11, it is now 1:28 most ridiculous timing of my life mom you they haven't started on my pedicure yet. She has been stuck on filing and lastly she didn't file underneath. I could of done a better job with Walgreens glue ons.
I've never even seen this place before until my coworker told me about it since she found out that it's so close to me. With that being said, I said "why not?" Ever since, I've given this place two chances. The first time, I went with my mom to get manicures- one regular and one acrylic. I was quite satisfied with mine but the employee that did my mom's nails left hers quite messy. My mom nicely asked the lady to fix it and she immediately started talking in her own foreign language to her coworkers. Perhaps talking smack? I think so. From the way everyone started talking AND looking at my mom after, we would only assume so. She didn't even bother fixing it. She just walked away.. After this visit, my mom said she'd probably never come back but since I still liked mine, I told myself I probably would. Because I needed to get my acrylics off for work, today (03/28/2019) I came back to get them off. I had the same lady that helped my mom out last time, hoping for the best. The way she did this was quite interesting to me! She literally just drilled it all off, layers by layers. While drilling off one hand, she had my other hand be soaked in acetone. This was so odd to me because I've had acrylics taken off before and the process usually is just them scraping it off. I was quite upset because after having my hands soaked in acetone about 20 times for 2 mins each, my hands got all hard and sticky. What upset me the most was this was $10! $10 for acrylic removal?! Like I said, I've had my acrylics removed before at a bunch of different nail salons and it was never over $5. I think today was my last visit to AP Nails.
Came here for my friends birthday pedi and mani morning. We got mimosas and such a wonderful treatment. Hannah did my mani and pedi, she is amazing! They were so professional and everything was very safe and sanitary.
They left two huge globs of clear powder acrylic on the sides of the bows. When I asked to have them removed the nail pro refused giving a bull crap explanation that it's there to keep the bow on. I've gotten bows from several other places and they've never left it like that. I didn't leave a tip (first doing that EVER) and told them I will not be returning. They charged me $60. Overcharged and underdelivered.
I've been trying to find another alternative nail salon place to get acrylics done and I think I've found THE ONE. Majority of the places I've gone to are either overpriced or the work just isn't great to me so I was on a hunt yesterday morning for a nail shop. I actually booked my appointment through Yelp and the owner responded really quick. We booked my appointment for Kelly at 2PM. As I arrived, I was seated right away and with complementary water bottle for my visit, which was really nice of them! I had my acrylic nails taken off by Annie. She was very gentle and very sweet. Kelly then took over and got started on my nails and let me tell you, I am so happy with the results and how my nails look! I love the thin coffin shape and I got it done perfectly. The prices here are very reasonable and the customer service is excellent, would definitely recommend coming here! I will be back soon!
Hello! I went to AP nails spa recently and loved there service the nail technician that did my nails was super nice and helped me with my indecisive self: the salon was tiny but was really calming- the music was relaxing they only accept cash which isn't very convenient or Zelle. My overall experience was great I would come here again to get my nails done
Cute salon with cute ladies who made me feel pampered! I originally wanted a pedicure but the ladies there made me feel so relaxed that I WANTED a manicure to feel even more relaxed. The color choices are endless and they currently have many shades of metallic or chrome (which is what I was looking for). I thought they took their time, the quality shows. I don't like acrylics so I went with gel because I work with special needs and need it to last LONG. I got the lavender scrub because it was a treat yourself, self care kind of day. I'm glad I walked into this salon, they just so happened to do my sister's lashes the week previous which came out very natural and neat looking. I feel it's important for them to look natural and not like spider legs.

AP Nails Spa exceeded my expectation and I would highly recommend this place for anyone. As Vietnamese New Year is approaching, I came here to get my done for the festivity. When I first came in the receptionist greeted me with a big smile,showed me all kind of services and made a lot of great recommendation on mix matching nail colors. After that, the lady did my nails and I was amazed with her skill and detail to attention. She took her time to make sure that all the nails were even and all the cuticles were clean. I just got a basic gel, but she really invested in painting my nails as if she is painting an art master piece. They know how to take care of their customers and they truly invested in their work. Overall, the place is clean and new, the workers are friendly and welcoming. I would definitely come back in the future. Although they just open a few months, but they are constantly booked. It is best that you make an appointment before coming.

OHMYGOD she literally put he sunset on my nails! I have always been one for designs (b/c I like compliments lol) but this set changed my life. Everyone complimented them and I even had people take pictures of them. It lasted soooo long and I only took it off b/c I was going skiing and was scared to break them when I fell I also got a hot store pedicure and loved it as well! Super clean and everyone's really nice and even gave me water! Will definitely be coming back! Thank you Kelly!!

I came to AP nails to get my pedicure and manicure done. The salon is very clean. The staffs are very friendly and professional. They did great jobs with my nails and my feet. I got the Linlin pedicure with fresh orange and honey, deeply clean my feet with calus remover, long ger massage with hot stone. My feet are very clean and fresh. My gel french manicure come out really pretty. They also serve drink like orange juice, mimosa( they are free). I love to come there. Thank you! I will be back!
Really wanted to like the salon because my coworker spoke so many good things about it. She said Kelly was the best and naturally I requested Kelly to do my nails. When you first get here, it's located on the street so there is no designated parking for you car. You have to park on the street. The ladies are very welcoming and nice. What got me disappointed was I came with a broken nail and the rest of my nails only needed a fill. As Kelly was removing it, she used a nail acrylic and went around the edges of my broken nail and YANKED IT REALLY HARD. IT EVEN STARTED TO BLEED AND ALL SHE SAID WAS SORRY. That was my first warning. At that point I didnt want to get my nails done anymore but my graduation was in 2 days so I just brushed it off. Next, Kelly asked if I wanted to do a whole new set because she said it was better than a fill. THATS MY OTHER MISTAKE BECAUSE I DIDNT WANT A NEW SET. ONLY A FILL. She took my nails off anyway. The removal process for my other nails were ok. I chose to do dip powder for my dark blue nails. When Kelly was doing my nails, Im pretty sure she rushed because customers were coming in and wanting to get their nails done. On top of that, she dipped the brush with a lot of powder when usually its supposed to be a little at a time. My nails came out at an uneven color. In addition, usally dip powder nails are $35. Tell me why my nails came out to be $45? (I tipped $5 totalling $50). Did they charge me for the length or something because I was never told that but it was partly my fault too since I didn't ask. But where did the price come from? The cost for the shape? Well certainly the shape doesn't look like the skinny coffin I wanted. I truly believe Kelly didn't do her best on my set and just wanted to rush to do other clients. I would never come here again! Don't waste your time and PLEASE listen to the reviews. My girlfriend and I made a last minute stop here to get a pedicure for myself and she got a mani-pedi. The staff were nice and friendly. They offered us drinks water, wine and champagne which was very nice. We both were sipping on champagne. While getting our services done they kept trying to sell us more services so we weren't able to relax and enjoy. The hot stone massage was really nice. My legs felt so good afterwards read more
Wow, the service was incredible. My nail tech did such a good job. I love how they turned out. She was very patient with me since this was my first time getting fake nails. My nails were so short and she made them look long with out adding too much of a length. I also got a pedicure and she also did amazing and was able to remove my ingrown on one of my toenails. read more

They were very nice and welcoming but I had to stop the young man, he didn't do the process right when starting the full application, he used the machine to the point where my fingers felt burned, after the forth finger feeling burned the man was going to take of a nail that only need a fill. I stopped the whole process and just left, finishing up somewhere else was a great idea! Plus there prices are higher then usually-not worth it read more

WORST NAIL SALON IN SAN JOSE. I came here for a simple manicure and pedicure. I used yelp to make an appt at 1pm. I got to the nail shop at 12:50pm and did not get started until 1:25pm. I also stated I had an appt at 1pm, No one said anything to me until I asked if someone was going to help me as I had been waiting for 20+ minutes. I chose a color that was sns powder, once applied the lady buffed my nails. The nails were scraped up and she attempted to put clear polish over it but I could still see the scrapes. During the buffing, she also CUT my cuticle area so now I have cuts on my fingers :( She then found a similar color that was gel and polish a second layer of gel. Now my nails are THICK and UNEVEN. I proceeded to tell the lady at the front that the nails were not good and she ignored me. This isn't a business that treats African American Women fairly and you should not support this business. I noticed when other White and Latino women walked in after me and they were greeted with high pitches "Hello's" and "how are you?" I did not receive any welcome message when I walked in. I wasted $60 today and hope this review will prevent others from wasting money at this nail salon. read more

Was looking to get my nails done last minute, and luckily I stumbled on this shop. Had my nails done with Thao and I gotta say, she is THE best nail tech on earth! I showed her some photos of what I wanted and she was very attentive to how I wanted my nails to look. At the end I was very happy with how my nails turned out. Very reasonable pricing as well. Ask for Thao when you come here! This is definitely my go to nail salon from now on :D read more

I've been to a lot of nail places and honestly this is my favorite! I got my set done by Thao and she really does the best job. I never experienced any kind of burning that usually occurs when they file down the acrylic, and the shape is perfect and consistent across the hand! It's not too thick and looks naturally blended in if that makes sense. Each design is done meticulously and if you take care of your nails they will last for weeks! I've had mine for 3 weeks now and they are still amazing as ever! Thao can literally do any design! read more

I love my nails. Thanks to everyone who works there it was my first time here with my husband and we love the place. I have been trying so many other spots and i never like them cuz of their works sometimes, the prices, or actually their attitudes... But this place is different! Im surprised they weren't busy the day a came because i really like and happy with what i got. People there were nice, and friendly, of course the prices are very reasonable. (My nails was 45$ btw) Kelly did it very carefully, and detail, and not just her, even the two other ladies. Highly recommended!!! I will keep coming back because they just literally became my fav. I was looking for a new nail salon to go to since the person I usually go to is booked most the time, so i came here yesterday with super high expectations considering the fact that all their work on Instagram/ yelp looks really nice but thats not what I received when I went there, and the service was horrible. I called around noon making an appt at 5:30 and they asked who I wanted to do my nails, since it was going to be my first time there I asked to make my appt with their best nail tech because Im really picky as to how my shape comes out. At 5, I called letting them know that i needed to reschedule my appt for 5:50 - 6:00 because I was stuck in traffic and I'm not from that area, i live in los gatos and they told me that was okay. Once I got there, the place looked very dirty and small, not what I expected it to look like, there was also food everywhere too and dust from the acrylics. They sat me down and asked if I could wait 5 minutes..... 30 minutes then passed and I still had not been help. After waiting for almost 40 minutes the young girl who was working there (owners daughter) asked if it was okay if the older woman did my nails & i said sure since I was already annoyed at that point. Coming here was the worst mistake i've ever done. I spent 2 hours here for the SHITTIEST nail job ever. She was applying the acrylic in the sloppiest way ever and not making it smooth & letting the monomer liquid spill all over my fingers, she left my shape horrible after explaining multiple times that i wanted skinny square. All my nail shapes were uneven and she claimed theyre supposed to be like that. The gel was all clumpy and horrible. I almost ended up crying because i was there for so long and everything was going wrong & I still had to pay 55$ for this horrible set. Never coming back here ever again. So I came across this nail salon when Color Nails failed me and it was the BEST DECISION I ever made ! Each nail tech that has done my nails has done absolutely amazing. I brought my boyfriend to get a pedi with me and we both loved it. I had Kelly, and Sue do my nails, I love them, they pay attention to detail and take their time to perfect it for you. They really do exactly what you ask for, for a really good price too. The best part is they have a stamp card where if you go 10 times you get a free mani or pedi!! Everyone is so nice, when you first walk in they greet you and hand you a water bottle(i never had anything like that so it seemed like i was at an expensive spa) also for pedis they have a massage chair. the salon is very clean and tidy, just the best. Anything you want just ask and they'll do their best. read more

My nails came out so bad. I came here one time before and Kelly did them so perfectly. This time sue was my artist and we had gotten off to a bad start. She was taking off my old acrylics but put a lot of pressure and hurt my nail. It hurt but I understood and kept on going with my nails. Once we were done, I just left because I trusted that she would have done a good job, but once I got to my car and saw them I almost cried. I hate them. The shape is horrible. I asked for square shape and the squareness isn't pronounced at all, they look oval shape to me. Not to mention they aren't even, some nails are longer than others. The nail polish is messed up, overall I'm so unhappy with my nails and if I wasn't already at work, I'd go back to have someone fix them, but I will go back and have them fixed. read more

Yes, this place is a bit more pricey than others but you definitely get what you pay for! Kelly was absolutely amazing and took her time doing my nails. She's very skilled and knows how to do many nail designs and holographics as well! This is my go-to nail salon now for acrylics read more

My new go-to place! The best pedicure I've ever had. I got just a regular pedicure which included a hot stone massage and it felt so bomb! Got a full set with glitter and rhinestones and this is the first time I ever walked out a nail shop completely loving my nails! Kelly has such a good hand and is very detailed. read more

I've been here multiple times before and for the most part have loved my nails. This past visit, the guy that works there, I believe his name is Phi, did my nails and I absolutely loved them! I got an acrylic fill with gel. He was quick and precise and I could tell he cared about his work and wanted them to turn out well! I had the best pedicure here yesterday . This isn't my usual spot but thought I'd give them a shot since they opened a few weeks ago and is within walking distance from my house. I was not disappointed . The lady that did my pedicure took her time massaged the heck out of my feet probably the best pedicure I've had. They actually take their time and do not rush. No wait time and 20%off promotion. Worth a try . read more
