A place that takes…read more care of your eyeballs I am the biggest wimp in the world when it comes to eye exams. I' not sure why but just the thought of someone poking around my eyes makes me what to loose my lunch. I've have broken bones, severe burns and all kinds of other cool injuries that never bothered me but I can't stand anything around my eyes. Dr Ostrom knows that I'm a big poltroon when it comes to eye exams and he goes out of his way to be gentle and reassuring. He does a through exam and explains everything but tries to minimize the gross eyeball details. The office also has a fine selection of spectacles and the entire staff are also very pleasant and friendly. They take the time to make sure you get the glasses or contacts you need and want. For me eye exams rank somewhere between root canals and colonoscopies. Things that might be necessary but not something to look forward too. We now live several hours away from Dr Ostrom but both my wife and I still drive out to Clinton for our eyeball exams. It's definitely worth the effort.

The first one was an authorization to keep a card on file so they can charge any balances automatically up to $1500. I told the receptionist that I would not be doing this since I have been a victim of identity theft. The tablet will not let you decline without logging out so she spoke to a supervisor and they said they would not see me without the authorization to keep a card on file, so I left. When I asked her why my husband didn't need to authorize automatic charges to a card when he had an appointment six days ago, I was told the policy went into effect two days ago. I called two other local eye doctor offices and neither of them keep patient's cards on file so I made an appointment with one of them instead.
