The moroseness and despondentness of the staff is palpable. There is no viable waiting room. You are shuffled from closet to closet. God forbid you have a jacket or a hat, you will have no place to put them. I have never been more uncomfortable at an appointment. If you have an opportunity to go elsewhere, do it. Only redeeming thing is that the doctor was kind and seemed to know what she was doing. There are a lot of weak links in the chain, however.

Sadly, the prescription that I use for my dry eyes is VERY expensive ($250) but the eye drs always write up the prior authorization so the insurance will pay. Well, I called FIVE times last week and left messages bc no one was calling back. They ignored my calls every time. I spoke to Miranda who could have cared LESS! I did MY job, I made the appointment and showed up on time and paid my bill. This office has NO CARE to do THEIR job-to return a phone call and fill out the paperwork! I am so disheartened and frustrated! If there was ONE light at the end of the tunnel, I was able to get a hold of a different office in Deep River. There is a LOVELY lady named Donna who actually answered the phone (shocker) and called CVS and called me back to follow up. Guilford Optical Shoppe was fast, courteous, offered a great selection of options for progressive lenses, custom-shaped the lenses to fit my frames, and got the new lenses mounted in a jiffy.
