It lasted a total of 9 minutes! And my vision is 20/15 across the board. My eyesight was -5.5 in both eyes and I had astigmatism, I had been a glasses wearer my entire life. There's nothing like waking up everyday and being able to see unassisted. If you're doubting doing the procedure, just do it! Only thing I would say is give yourself a day or two off from work after the procedure to rest your eyes and be sure to take your eye drops every couple of hours as they recommend. They say you can go to work the next day, but don't. I worked the very next day after my procedure and my eyes were quite tired. I do have to look at a computer screen for most of my work so there's the caveat there. I have no regrets about this procedure and you won't either!

Highly recommend! Consultation was free and the quote I was given was fair. The discount they give…read morefor military made it even better. The operation itself was surprisingly quick. Expect a bit of discomfort, but nothing intolerable. Dr. Aleksandrovich is clearly very experienced and explained the procedure throughout each step, which really helps ease the nerves. I'm still recovering, about a week post-op, but even the next day after the LASIK my vision was well improved. I'm seeing about 20/15 now in each eye, whereas before my uncorrected visual acuity was about 20/25 OD and 20/30 OS. I am not experiencing noticeable eye dryness at this time, but I am still using the medicated drops and lubricating drops as prescribed. I know this is not the case for everyone, so whether I am lucky or it has to do with the technique they do here I cannot tell. I am still experiencing a bit of a halo around lights, but I understand that is to be expected at this point in my recovery. Overall, I'm very happy I went with LasikPlus and would recommend to anyone considering corneal refractive surgery!

The first one was an authorization to keep a card on file so they can charge any balances automatically up to $1500. I told the receptionist that I would not be doing this since I have been a victim of identity theft. The tablet will not let you decline without logging out so she spoke to a supervisor and they said they would not see me without the authorization to keep a card on file, so I left. When I asked her why my husband didn't need to authorize automatic charges to a card when he had an appointment six days ago, I was told the policy went into effect two days ago. I called two other local eye doctor offices and neither of them keep patient's cards on file so I made an appointment with one of them instead.

Four (4) hours and $20.00 in Gasoline wasted they wanted to waste even more of my time for one of their Optometrists to examine my eyes and tell me how bad they are, ....... which I already know. Can you say Gratuitous? What a complete wast of my time and their time, as well. I told them that I was not going to make another appointment for a month or for several months out. Been there, done that, ....... Too many times. Now, I either go blind, crack up me and my 2023 new Ford truck when I'm driving and a bucket of white paint is suddenly thrown across my windshield and I am "whited out" which no one seems to care about me dying because I have had a bunch of inept, incompetent Physicians where ever and when ever I go to any of them. Or, I can spend the remainder of my natural life searching throughout the country for a competent, real Opthomologist so that I am able to have this much needed surgery on my right eye. Good luck. All members of the office staff and the optometrists are equally friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. The office is spotlessly clean and they are on time for appointments. More importantly, focus to ensure that the end result of service rendered equates to quality of lenses in frames received in exchange for your money. Don't be fooled by the old illusion of the 3-D bird trick that's been around at least since the early 1990s, but haven't seen it in a while until recently. I recall this being revealed as a gimmick many years ago. Interesting to see it resurface again. What clients get as the end product should match that experience. As customers/clients, we know when we've ever had a pair of good quality lenses and feel that the Optometrist got it right. By the same token, we know upon trying on new glasses whether or not it is either too strong or just a weak, problematic pair of glasses akin to looking out of a window pane leaving the client better off wearing their older pair of better quality for vision care. Now I know times are hard in the world of Optometry business, but this is messed up. I was so happy to stop by & pick up my glasses, but was disappointed upon realizing that they were weak and unhelpful. The Optical Assistant growing a bit frustrated insisted on telling me to just keep the new glasses and wear them for more than a week in order "to get use to them" with her ongoing reasoning to my responses. For the sake of moving on with the time being, I rode out the time and tried wearing them only to find myself struggling & squinting to read the Road Signs from a reasonable distance until too late in approaching to make a turn or lane decision. To be safe, I have had to wear a much older pair of glasses. They are hard & painful on my nose bridge & ears, but at least they are much better on the vision. With the exception of the reading glasses (bifocal area), the new ones are akin to looking through a window pane wasting my time and insurance money. There was no getting used to a new pair of glasses after the first day. Either they work or they do not! Don't make the mistake of given into that which is designed to send your right on out the door with them. Unfortunately, the office remain closed due to the Coronavirus crisis leaving my son and I hanging. Unfortunately, he trusted them and purchased three pairs with two of them being quite expensive or going into the Hundreds of Dollars in total. We were told that the Obamacare insurance used a different lab to cut cost. He was assured that the pay-out-pocket would result in a different lab with better results. What's the point of buying COSTLY frames with lenses that are not a good fit for better vision? Since we were told that our vision hasn't changed much, we could have simply taken our previous prescription to a direct online frame & lense company with high reviews & reputable or to a Costco, BJs, JCPenny, etc. Shouldn't the goal of private offices be to differentiate oneself to stand ahead of the competition? IMO It is one thing to practice good customer service, it is another skill to deliver quality of care with satisfaction for clients/customers for equal exchange of goods and services in terms of money/insurance rendered for payment for prescription glasses.

I asked for my medical records so I could give then to a new doctor. I called, got no answers, I texted, no answers. When I finally got to talk to someone they asked which doctor I was going to. I told them it doesn't concern them, I need my records, please. They told me I had to download a patient records request form and mail it. I did and received nothing. I started all over again 6 weeks later. I found an email address and told them that if I didn't get my records I would get the AGs office involved as itbis my right to have my records. They said they couldn't find my initial request but they needed a request, could I resend? I did, certified mail. That day they called and left a vm stating they found the initial letter and have mailed the records. Sight MD has ruined the former Fitchman practice by getting too big too quick, lack of staffing and lessening the quality of care.

I called around to make an appointment and was told, well we can fit you in in 2-3+++ months...blah blah. Then it came to me, Fichman!!! Called and the angel Merrell said "we consider this a medical emergency" and got us in the same day! It has been a tough road with loss of vision and another emergency same day visit with a flair up but this office has done everything they could possibly do with no delays and with the utmost compassion. I truly believe if we didn't get an appointment quickly my husband would probably be blind in that eye now. Many thanks and forever grateful!!!

He spent quality time answering my questions without rushing me - this is a big deal for me - but even more importantly his answers rang with intelligence & experience & compassionate sincerity. He came up with a solution for an issue I have been having with binocular alignment, and he did it in a way that the two previous eye-doctors with much fancier offices couldn't see. Guess even eye doctors can be blind to some things. An example of the compassionate attitude present in this office: I am considering LASIK and I asked him at the end, "If I was a family member of yours and said 'I want to do LASIK', what would you say to me about the surgery?" He earnestly said: " I consider all family and patients the same, so no need to worry - and I'll tell you..." This attitude was backed up by his receptionist who told me a story of how he had dramatically helped her and seen her free of charge when she didn't have insurance - now she works for him, full-heartedly. Good crew here. Humble office, simple room & everything you need: solid intelligence, experience & good heart.
