She explained it so that I was not so worried. She did an excellent eye exam and, rather than giving me glasses right away had me come back for a followup exam to make sure the medication was out of my system and that my eyes had stopped changing. We discussed the amount of correction (something I have never had anyone willing to do before) and I chose not to be corrected all the way to 20/20 so that I would not need bifocals to see my dashboard when I drive. My eye exam was on 6/18 and my I picked up my glasses on 6/21. To my delight they are perfect. Having been given incorrect lenses before, I was pleased that there will be no need to return for corrections, or complaints. I can't recommend Dr. Dao highly enough. As someone who works in a field related to vision I am extremely impressed with the service I received from her and from the Eye Care Group.

And every kind of special equipment is right there on the premises, which I appreciated as I was on a medication that could affect vision and so required regular eye tests. Dr. Lynch is a genuinely nice man and I really liked being one of his patients. Unfortunately for me, I switched insurance plans to one of the very few that his office does not accept. If my situation changes, I would run, not walk, back to this practice.

I called recently and said I had private insurance, and suddenly he's more than happy to take new patients. That's not retirement. That's deception. I know I do (I pay for it each month) and so made some phone calls to ensure I was still covered. When I came back to the desk the secretary and I were talking just to clarify the issue. During our conversation I could hear Dr. Rubsam answering my questions, but from what I assume was his office? I couldn't see him ... he was in another room... I'm not sure if he knew I could hear him? Ultimately the secretary told me that Dr. Rubsam did not take my insurance - no problem! I understand our health care system doesn't always work the way we expect. I was willing to pay out of pocket the $175 for the appointment. When I asked if I could still be seen today I heard from Dr. Rubsam in his office again who was screaming "NO!! GOODBYE!!" - I wish I was exaggerating... I can't believe that a medical professional would treat someone like this - I was not rude or aggressive. I was just asking questions. Ultimately, I'm glad they do not take my insurance and was not seen by this individual who did not have the decency to even come out of his office to speak with him but instead scream GOODBYE from behind a wall. It took two weeks and many phone calls to have Envision correctly give the referral. They also tried to overcharge me on my copay, which makes me wonder if they try that with everyone. When I corrected them they dropped the made up request. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Long story short, I found this place due to proximity but I wish I had gone elsewhere. The docs I've met there are fine, if a little rushed due to the overwhelming number of people crammed in the waiting room and being generally over an hour behind schedule. I'm writing this review because my emergency contact was called due to a minor billing issue. Yes, they called my emergency contact over a bill that was one month overdue. Yes, I screwed up. Part of the blame is mine. I admit that. I forgot to pay my bill and then was traveling on business for a month straight. Sue me. Not once did they leave me a voicemail or email me (it is 2019, right?), or otherwise try get in touch with me as far as I can tell. No, instead they decided to call my emergency contact and ask them to get in touch with me about the bill. Completely inappropriate and unprofessional. So just realize that when you're filling out the intake form, they will use any and all information to find you (except, you know, your own phone number or email).
