I've been a loyal ECCO customer for many years, purchasing thousands of dollars' worth of shoes for myself and my family. Personally, I keep six pairs in rotation and have always trusted the brand for comfort and quality. Recently, I purchased another pair (size 45 EU, as always). Unfortunately, after only a few days of wearing them, I developed blisters, and the fit was noticeably off compared to my previous pairs. When I tried to return them, I was told they could not be accepted because they had been "worn too much." This was deeply disappointing. Despite my long history as a loyal customer with over a dozen pairs purchased, there was no attempt to resolve the issue positively--just a flat denial. While I now realize I should have read the terms and conditions more carefully, I expected more flexibility, understanding, and appreciation for my loyalty. I have always loved my ECCOs, but this experience has changed my view of the brand. Customer service matters as much as product quality, and this response left me feeling undervalued. My complaint to ECCO Shoes: My shoes have mostly sat in an air-conditioned closet since I don't dress up very often. When I went to wear them the other day, I found the soles on both pairs had cracked and the shoes were worthless at that point. I contacted the company and provided pictures and was told they would not honor the warranty since they recently changed their policy. I think this is garbage! I purchased these expensive shoes expecting to get many years of wear from them, not having them fall apart just sitting in a closet. At this point, unless ECCO makes this right, I would encourage anyone thinking of buying ECCO shoes to select another brand. Answer from ECCO: We are aware of past issues affecting the soles of some shoes and have since reformulated the materials to prevent this from occurring in newer models. These improvements apply to products purchased under the updated warranty policy. We truly regret any inconvenience this has caused. At this time, the most we're able to offer for your current pair is a 20% coupon toward a future purchase. We appreciate your understanding and continued support of ECCO. Once again, I spend a lot of money to purchase ECCO shoes and to have them fall apart while sitting in a closet is appalling. Your company knew the soles were bad because you had problems in the past and yet you refuse to make things right. A reputable company would replace them. It tells me either ECCO is run by a bunch of idiots or you have so many bad pairs of shoes out there that you cannot afford to make things right. We need to put the word out that ECCO does not stand behind their products and consumers should avoid purchasing their shoes and in fact, a class action lawsuit would probably be appropriate in this case. I have been buying Ecco gore Tex golf shoes for the last 25 years and always have multiple pairs. Recently a pair I purchased in June of 2020 are now leaking. This is the first time this has ever happened. I contacted Ecco warranty and they said gore tex warranty is only good for one year but their website states: " GORE-TEX guaranteed to be waterproof for the lifespan of the product ". THEY NOW REFUSE TO HONOR THIS even though the website explicitly states lifespan gore tex warranty. This is DECEPTIVE ADVERTISING. Foot-joy, Adidas, Skechers etc high end shoes have two year warranty and cost less. I am very disappointed that Ecco refuses to honor their " printed " warranty. They have lost a 25 year golf shoe customer and the warranty customer service at Ecco couldn't care less. read more

wow. i'm appalled. my husband LOVES ecco shoes, as do i for him (no complaints when we walk for hours!) the stores are usually staffed with friendly people, and the products can't be beat. he usually purchases 4-5 pairs a year for work and our travels. that said, the main company should be absolutely ashamed of itself. we ordered two pairs of heel support inlays (basically little pieces of leather that go around the back of the shoe on the inside so your heel doesn't slip up and down as you walk - usually used by those with narrow heels) and they sent them in a HUGE BOX. what?!?!?!? these heel inlays are about 2 inches by 4 inches each and lay FLAT... maybe with two pairs they're about 3/4 an inch thick. they also weigh perhaps 2 ounces per pair, so a total of 4 ounces. what did they mail them in? a JUMBO box FULL of paper packing material. i get the name is ecco and not "eco" but really guys - what an absolute WASTE. my husband and i are seriously thinking of never buying from these guys again because they obviously have ZERO respect for the earth. we are extremely disheartened. you can see the box they sent them in is about 14x16 inches. sorry the angle isn't good on the height, but it's about 8" tall. the shoe inserts are the grey things in baggies on the top left. one is sideways so you can see how thin they are - these things could have been mailed in an envelope! we're absolutely appalled at the waste this company generates. unacceptable! read more

I have been buying Ecco Trac 2 boots for maybe 8 years now. My most recent pair started coming apart on the stitching above toe area. I called and a very nice customer service person said they would send me a bag to return them for inspection. It took me a couple of months to get around to sending the boots in ( I wear them daily) and I was afraid I may have waited too long. I hadn't heard back from anybody for 3 weeks and I finally called back. I found out that I had not included all of the proper labels I received. I was told that they were being forwarded to the proper place and I would find out the outcome within 4 to 6 weeks. I figured it was my own fault as I made several mistakes. A couple of weeks later I received a brand new pair of boots in the box. I can't say enough about how much I appreciate Ecco's customer service and overall quality. These are the most comfortable boots I have ever owned. I am a bit frugal (cheap) and when my wife suggested I buy these for the first time, I almost choked at the price. I have learned, you get what you pay for. I am on my 5th. pair and I will not buy any boots for work and daily use other than these. They are worth every penny and more. I have bought and sold hundreds of pairs of Ecco shoes, boots and sandals over the last 25 years so I speak from a huge base of personal experience. I also handle dozens of other brands of footwear and am constantly making comparisons. If I had to name the one footwear company that has consistently met or exceeded my expectations for comfort, quality, value and customer service it would be Ecco. The Track line of boots are simply iconic. You can wear them all day like you would a pair of slippers. The Swiss army knife of boots. The amazing array of tasteful styles flowing from Ecco is remarkable too. Kudos to whoever is doing their design work. Yes, you can purchase more fashionable and finely crafted shoes from other European manufacturers and even a few here in the USA but none IMO does it all like Ecco. Every now and then I've encountered a problem with a product and have contacted the customer service staff in NH. They are always helpful and easy to work with. If you haven't tried a pair of their shoes or boots stop by one of their stores or Nordstrom to take a look. You'll be happy you did. read more
