I don't really have an issue with the store and shop here frequently. What I have a problem with is one of their policies. I picked up a few things yesterday including a case of beer. At the self check out I was approached by a young lady, probably 18 years old, who asked for my ID. I didn't have one on me so I was told I could not have the beer. I have no problem with a policy that insures that people minors are not allowed to purchase alcohol but policy needs to include common sense! I'm 75 years old! read more

Wanted to buy a certain product that I found on their shelf in its proper section. I took it with the rest of my purchases to the self checkout section. The product didn't register on the screen. I asked the person attending the self checkout section for help. She tried to enter the item manually and the register didn't accept it. She said I couldn't buy it because the register wouldn't accept the product because it wasn't in the system. I asked why it was on the shelf for purchase if it wasn't in the system. No answer, no reason. Employee walked away. She turned around, came back, took the product from me and walked away again. Tried to do a return on 4/19 at around 8pm and was told the items weren't returnable, thought that was strange so I went to Hooksett and was able to return the items for a full refund with no issues. The Manchester associate seemed like doing her job was too much effort with all the people I watched her interact with. My family had a very humiliated experience at this Walmart . I was shopping and picked up some grocery and checked out at the self-checkout. after checking out, at the main entrance a security individual stopped me and asked for a receipt. I had forgotten to take the receipt at the register. The security refused to let me pass and called the manager.. Thed Manager went in the back and checked the cc TV record. I had to wait with over 20 minutes next to my cart . Everyone who passed us looking at me one after another . I felt really humilited for that 20 minutes. Upon asked to show thw receipt I showed the transaction on my phone of my which was not accepted . I was victimized as a possible thief. Yet to explained. I was the only person who had to show the receipt for that. I was handpicked to put me thru this. Manager could have printed the receipt from their system send that was not done. maybe it was don effort the reason of colorful hair or any other reason. WE spend half of our paycheck at this store. Why did the select me over other customers. If you are going to suspect someone then you have to treat everyone equally which has not been don for example Sam,s Club the check each one throughout the day. Very disappointed to find that Walmart does not offer a military or veterans discount. Purchased a TV this weekend as a gift for friend only to find out no such discount. Sunday night- May 7, 2023- no shopping carts or electric carts for disabled senior. Parked at eye center door which to my knowledge could be the door I exit since my car was there. Well, Walmart locks that side of the store unannounced to me - no sign and as a disabled senior I had to try to make it to the other side of the store to exit and once's exited , had to walk all the way back to the other side of this superstore again to the opposite side of the building where my car was parked. Went there this morning to visit the garden center. It was 8:15 AM and the garden center doors were still locked. I walked up front and asked someone to open the doors. I could hear them page someone so I walked back down there. I waited another 15 minutes, and no one came, so I walked back upfront and found someone else to ask. She said someone would be there soon so I walked back down there again and waited another 10 minutes before somebody finally came. I wasted a total of about 40 minutes of my morning waiting for someone to unlock these doors. This store is atrocious! read more

I've had numerous issues with them trying to accuse me of stealing. We'll the last time 2, 6`2+ ft tall men walked up to me once I was already out of the store & both of them grabbed the front of my cart & jerked it so hard I went stumbling & almost fell to the ground. The they started trying to damand me to back inside the store. I told them to go fuck themselves! And that I just spent over $500 in food & other household shit. I told them they needed to give me my fing shit back, they refused & 1 of them tried to crab me by the arm towards the store. She said that they would send an officer to the store & then contact me & could come see me at home. So guess fucking what??.. 1st NO STORE EMPLOYEE, MANAGER, SECURITY TYPE PEOPLE, EXCEPT for a cop can follow you out of the/a store & tell you to return to the inside of the store, or grab your cart, jacket etc. In anyway. I was screamed and spit at for several minutes by this lunatic in the store parking lot today when I walked by his car. Never saw him before, have no idea what his issue was. After I took some video, I went inside to report the incident to the management only to be told by a bored short, older blonde -haired woman who was standing by the self-checkout area that yes, other customers have complained about this head case in the past but "The management and security were all in a meeting" and that " The city owns the parking lot so we can't do anything." Then how about contacting the police, or not letting this individual have access to the store or escorting him out when he tries to enter? Or at least showing an iota of concern and empathy to me? I have to wonder why more staff and management is not more pro-active when it comes to obvious problems occurring within their store. I saw 4 teens come in and take 4 handicap electric carts and chase each other around the store while drinking nips and taking selfies. Staff were plentiful and could have easily reported this to mgt. for the carts went right by several. There was a police officer in the front of the store and a security officer, but no employee got them involved and so I did so I did and asked for mgt. He asked me - oh where are they? I asked how come none of your staff informed you and I had to do it? They all saw it. There was a police officer standing in the front of the store and security in the parking lot and thus this particular location you know is more than likely considered high risk. read more

I don't know what it is about this Walmart or if it's just a problem with whoever is in charge of restocking, but it's astounding how often things go out of stock - which is normal - but then don't get stocked again for literal months. MONTHS. I'm not talking about toilet paper or hand sanitizer when those were short everywhere; just random items. It's unbelievably frustrating. The only good thing I can really say for this store is that two of the security/door employees I frequently see are friendly and competent and that their bathroom is typically much cleaner than most Walmarts I've been to. read more

The Walmart Supercenter in Manchester officially opened on April 20, 2016, just after 7:35 am. I can find most everything I need to buy at good low prices under one roof. This new Walmart Supercenter replaces the former much smaller Wal-Mart on Keller Street which will become a CarMax dealer. This 178,000 sf Wal-Mart Supercenter is pretty clean and bright. This store has a similar atmosphere and layout almost identical to the Derry Walmart Supercenter with concrete floors (warehouse-like), food market area to the left, apparel/jewelry/housewares/furnishings in the middle, photo lab/books & magazines/electronics/music & movies, office supplies in the back, outdoor merch/automotive in the back right (no tire lube center here), toys section/garden center on the right side of the store and Service Credit Union and a Subway in the front of the store. The pharmacy/health & beauty things/cosmetics sections at this store are located in the front right side of the store just like in Derry with the same pharmacy staff from the old Keller St location. The pharmacy in the Hooksett and Concord stores are located across from the food market section near the center of the store. I stopped here as the doors opened to the public and Manchester Mayor Ted Gatsas was present at the ribbon cutting. There were free samples of food and drinks and free blue and yellow frosted cupcakes being given out to celebrate the Grand Opening. I picked up some fresh bananas and motor oil while I was here. There were plenty of staff on hand at the registers and there are also self checkout machines too. The parking lot was half full when I left the store around 8 am. ACCESS: From I-293 Exit 1 and South Willow St, use John Devine Drive straight ahead to the Walmart. The gates are now up along Gold Street west of Ross Avenue and open to through traffic to/from the west (I-293 Exit 2). Originally (no longer the case), Gold Street west of Walmart was closed off to through traffic and gated, discouraging access from Exit 2. However (I do not recommend), you can still take South Beech Street to President Road to Frontage Road to Ross Avenue to Gold Street to go around the gate (now up). Back in April, I mentioned the gate on Gold Street should be removed since Gold Street was previously a cut through route between S Beech Street and S Willow Street before this Walmart opened. read more

Ugh! Where do I begin by explaining my gripes with the Walmart - Manchester NH pickup department. Sunday I scheduled a grocery pickup order for this past Monday 1/8/2023 and received an email 30 min before my pickup hour (2-3pm) that my pickup order would be delayed by 2 hours. So, I rescheduled for today Tuesday 1/9/2023 for the same time block (2-3pm). When I arrived at 2:20pm not a single parking spot was available. All assigned numbers were parked in as was all letter assigned spots as well and there were customers lined up on the side of the building on the street that loops around the back of the store. I waited over an hour and decided to call into the Pickup department. No one answered. I called 2 more times no one answered. Funny enough a kind woman next to me rolled down her window and told me this happened to her last week and suggested to call the Walmart customer service line and ask for a refund because of the long long wait (this just after being there 60 minutes). Customer service was able to assist and I will receive a refund. I have to say in my opinion if you don't have the staff to run the pickup department the service shouldn't be available. This is mismanagement and poor customer service. In this day in age why couldn't the website tell me the hour was fully booked? Why couldn't management put a hold on the service so this wouldn't happen. You wasted my time and I ended up going grocery shopping elsewhere. You wasted everyone else's time too. read more

I called at 4:45 PM to make sure that the money services is in fact open until 6 PM. I get there at 5 o'clock and the money services close in lot. So I wait in the line next to money services for 35 minutes just to be told that money services is closed. I made a special trip there to pay a bill and call the head of time to confirm I can come in and pay it. This is very inconvenient. The manager was extremely rude and walked away for me. read more

I went looking for an HP Printer Cartridge Black XL, they have more ink so less changes. I noticed that alot of the shelves were bare and they were out of many of the cartridges including my the black XL cartridge, so I had to buy two regular black. I asked an associate and was told they were going to be moving the department. When I took my Cartridges home my printer didn't like them, I got an error message saying that it wasn't the right cartridge. What do you it's the right cartridge it's an HP!!! read more

I ordered 2 large meat and cheese platters for a party, which I have done many times and was always pleased. This time there was half the meat. When I looked at the package you could see there was less, and I asked the associate about it, and I said maybe it's under the kale, and they just looked at me so I thought, maybe it was. I brought them to my party, and as the night went on you could clearly see there was much more cheese and yes, half the meat. I called the store to ask them about it, and the deli team leader, who was very polite said they are now putting in half the meat but still charging the same price. I asked if a partial refund could be done, he transferred me to another manager who couldn't do anything (she was very polite as well), then transferred me to another person who had me on speaker phone, said this is what they are doing now and that I could clearly see it through the package and I should have said something then. I proceeded to tell her how I thought it could have been under the pile of kale. She said there wasn't anything I could do because it was consumed and was very rude! I said I would never be ordering a deli tray from them again; it is a total ripoff!! read more

This isn't the first or second time Walmart has left me high and dry. A few times I've ordered groceries and either they don't get picked up for delivery or they don't get delivered to the right house despite leaving explicit instructions in the instruction box. This final time Walmart failed to have my groceries picked up and now I'm waiting 7-10 business days to get that pending charge back. Walmart made no efforts to ensure my groceries were delivered to me and made no alternatives. Speaking to a store associate directly they stated I can't pick up a delivery order even if it's ready. Wow. Talk about one-stop shopping. I used to be a Wal-Mart hater, but upon a recent move needed to stock up on essentials. This place is huuuuuge. I was delighted to see they carry organic produce! I've spent more time than necessary wandering up and down the food aisles; found almost everything I needed. Store is clean and organized. Garden section is pretty nice; found some nice geraniums and houseplants to take home. Pretty sure half of the "people of Wal-Mart" photos have come from this place...or somewhere in New Hampshire. read more

So on January 31st of this year I was in the store and an announcement for spiral hams for .50lb.... great price! I initially had no plans of buying a ham but at that price who could pass that up right? I ran over to the chest and grabbed one....I go home and start to unload everything that I had purchased and realized that the date of the spiral ham was for January 1, 2020....I was really annoyed and ended up calling to ask about it I was put on hold, and I waited and waited and waited and then the service desk picked up again ...tried transferring the call again ...I waited and waited and when the call went back to the service desk....I asked to be directed to the deli in hopes that someone would answer...well they did and I explained that the spiral ham was expired prior to purchase and that I would not be able to bring it back until about 2 weeks later ( I do my big Walmart trips every 2 weeks )...she at that point put me on hold to ask the manager if it was ok....she gets back on the phone and said just freeze it and hold on to your receipt and when you're ready bring it back....now today was my Walmart shopping day and I did exactly what I was told.....the people at the service desk looked at me with suspicion....I said guys...it doesn't matter when I brought it back ...the ham was past the date when I originally bought it, look at my receipt and look at the hams date....I then asked if that's why they were on sale or if it's customary to put expired meat on the sales floor? No response....heres my thought...if you're going to buy perishables like meats, dairy or produce do yourself a favor and check dates! read more

I called back an operator tried to help me find out if a cell phone was in stock. 30 minutes later I found out they did have it. Bad......very bad customer service. read more

Came here after attending a Def Leppard concert in town, was in a hotel and needed to buy a small fan, I can't sleep without one. Store was gonna close at 12 that night, I got there it was 11:15. It's a very nice store, a supercenter and I love those, they always have what I need. Now back to the reason this review is 1 star. There was at least 35 Walmart employees​ working on restocking the store (which should be done after the doors are closed not before) . When I finally found the fan I wanted I had a Walmart worker cross her arms on me and give me an attitude cause I was in her way the 10 seconds it took me to chose and pick a fan. It was so rude I had to ask her "Am I in your way?" She answered "no, go ahead" she didn't move out of the way or uncrossed her arms I have never seen such a rude person let me pick my fan go do something else don't cross your arm and stare at me when I'm trying to purchase an item 45 minutes before the store closes you stupid bitch! And to make my shitty experience complete another employee almost ran me over with a big heavy cart "watch out" he said. I checked my self out, wold love to see this store with no employees fucking around as you try to shop. read more

The pharmacy is pathetic. They frequently do not have the supply to fill my prescription. Today, I Waite in line for 10 minutes to find out that they only had "30" pills on my refill. Rather than partially refill, they cancelled it. I had called it in the night before. No one bothered to call me. 20 minutes later I am still waiting. read more

BEYOND EXTRAORDINARY SERVICE FROM STORE MANAGER, NINA! I was visiting Manchester from San Diego and was with a retired friend who was born in Manchester and has lived there over 70 years. She pointed out a beautiful item that she wanted very much, but couldn't afford. I decided to surprise her and get her the item while I was at the airport waiting to fly home. It was not on Walmart.com so I called the Store Manager, Nina at the Superstore in Manchester, New Hampshire. I told her the story, and how exceptional this friend is, and that my short visit involve emergency medical care that I needed. My friend "stepped up to the plate" in the pouring rain to help me. Since I couldn't get this item on the internet, I thought Nina could deliver it to her and I could pay by credit card. Nina explained that she couldn't take a credit card over the phone and that Walmart doesn't deliver either. I was very disappointed. Shockingly, Nina ordered to donate the item and have an associate personally deliver it to my friend. I have never been more blown away! That's exactly what Nina did. WHAT AN INCREDIBLE ROLE MODEL AND EXAMPLE NINA IS TO HER EMPLOYEES. WALMART IS UNBELIEVABLY LUCKY TO HAVE HER. Heartfelt thanks to her and the very smart person who hired her "way back".
