I participate a lot for running events organized by Millennium Running, but there store is all the way in Bedford, Nh. This is so much close and I'm quite happy with the selection of running products they have! Light gear to help run at night is a requirement for Ragnar Relays and they have it all here for that. Definitely going to come back here if my company participates again. Also, I learned a lot about my feet because they have a scanner to look at every angle of your feet to know the best shoes for it. I'm on hiatus for running right now until next year, but this will always be my go to for anything running in the near future. Also, they have energy gels as well! Just got diagnosed with foot arthritis and my doctor advised that I should get an insole insert. I went to Fleet Feet in Nashua and was helped by Ben, he was very knowledgeable and very supportive and specific about my feet. If I didn't know better I would have thought he was a foot doctor himself. He knew about the inflamed tendon in my foot and suggested physical therapy. He tried 3 different pairs of sneakers and 2 different insoles , he then trimmed the insole to fit the shoes and they were perfect. Walked in, no one greeted me. Everyone in the room looked at me though so I had no idea who worked there. I made eye contact long enough with one person so I asked if he worked here... very awkward. I went in to try the On Cloud Stratus. They only had one pair in size 7 and the left shoe looked off to me. The reflective tongue was different (not reflective) and the tag inside the left shoe did not have the Swiss symbol. I told the employee and he brought out another pair of OC Stratus in a different size and agreed with me - several details about the left shoe in size 7 were off, and were made properly in the other sizes. I asked if he could order me a pair (in my size) due to the deficiency and he said no... So then I tried on the Nike Fly 4 which is $120 on Fleetfeet.com, but still full price in the store. The employees said they will not match the price because they are sold out of size 7 online in that color. Even though the other two colors are still in stock online in size 7, for $120, they will not match that price for the one pair they have in store. And also said they did not have those colors in the back, nor will they order them. Are sales associates making commission off of running sneakers now too? read more

Went into Fleet Feet today. BJ was awesome to deal with. I have never been fitted for a running shoe before so I didn't know what to expect. He explained everything in detail about the foot scan and how he would decide which shoe would be the best fit for me. Ended up coming out with three pairs he thought would be a great fit and he was spot on. I traveled about an hour to get here since there are limited stores here in Massachusetts and it was recommended I come here for running shoes. The two owners were working there when I arrived. They were very attentive and helpful without being too salesperson-like. First they analyze the structure of your foot and second they have you try on several shoes that are likely a good fit for you. I tried on about 5 pairs of shoes and liked 1 pair in particular. The color selection was rather limited, so I ended up ordering the shoes online from Zappos instead (saved a few bucks too). A size 5 is tough to find so I won't eliminate any stars for that. So went to Fleet Feet today. Had a young guy wait on me. And that in itself is a stretch of the imagination. His customer service skills were poor. Almost no help putting the sneaker on or watching me walk. He didn't have what I usually buy. Which is Brooks. Showed me what He had. Put me in one that was clearly too big for me. My heel was falling out. When I pointed this to him. He said the sneakers were too small. By then I was losing my patience cuz he just upped me a whole size. I took the time to explain that to him. Also told him no they are falling off because my heels are narrowed. Ok, I only tried on 4 pairs total. Another lady came in and he left me with my sneaker decision and took a new customer. Not cool. The web site specifically states that Altra brand shoes are carried, however that is NOT true in the store. After searching the store up and down and unable to flag down any employees, I finally waited in line at the cashier to ask the location of the brand and I was told the brand is no longer carried. Yes, I could have called first, but why would I assume that in 2018 a web site would be that out of date?!? Fair warning, call ahead before you make the trip, I know I won't be back. read more

Went to fleet feet just prior to the "lock down" covid 19 to get some Brooks. Greeted by a taller gentleman who was assisting another customer, asked me if I had been fitted there, I advised that I had been when it was Runners ally. I told him I was there to get some Brooks running shoes, he handed me an ipad to fill in some info. As I was doing so a younger guy took it from me abruptly and said that's good enough and told me to stand on the machine. He cleaned it, I stood on it and ten he proceeded to explain to me I was a size 9. (I walked in with Asics on in a 7.5) I told him what size I was wearing he huffed and said I was a size 9. I said okay bring out a 9 then, he muttered and said "nope I won't". He came back with two pairs of brooks and some other brand and told me we are starting with this kind. I said no thank you I wanted brooks. he huffed and muttered fine and went to put the shoe in the box. I told him forget it, I picked up my Asisc, put it on and apologized for wasting his time and bothering him. I normally purchase two pair at a time. They lost a sale and a customer. I stumbled upon this place by accident while driving through Nashua. I loved the atmosphere of the place - they were set up to accommodate everyone from the average rec runner to the hardcore XC/Track crowd. Staff was very knowledgeable and polite and I ended up buying the new pair of running shorts I'd been in the market for. I then headed for a run in nearby Mines Falls park - which I also highly recommend. Good selection of shoes, minimalist shoes, spikes and I even got a kick out of the XC and pro-runner posters everywhere. Wish more running stores were like this place! read more

There were probably 5 different customers getting fitted by just two people and they had everyone very happy. I would have paid twice as much for the shoe, based on my service alone. I went here with my boyfriend, because he was looking for a pair of sneakers to decrease his shin splints. He was on a time-sensitive training schedule, so we were looking to get some shoes sooner rather than later. When we got there, we got help right away, and the service was amazing. The woman who was helping us analyzed his feet and his gait, educated us about various types of shoes and what would be best for his situation, and she really went above and beyond to help him try on several pairs of shoes and decide what to buy. We ended up deciding to get two pairs of shoes, one of which needed to be ordered because it was out of stock. We were told they would be in within a week, and the store would call us when the shoes arrived. After two weeks, we hadn't heard anything, so we called the store. They said our order had been placed, and they would check with the company to see why they hadn't come yet. They never called back, so a week later we called again, and they said they weren't sure, but the manager would call us. When the manager still hadn't called us a week and a half later, I called back to get the information from our order, to see if the shoes were available online. I also requested again that the manager call us about the order. Now, it has been almost two months since our visit to Fleet Feet, we still haven't heard from the manager, and I ordered the shoes from the manufacturer's website (with free two day shipping). Both my boyfriend and I have been working in retail for several years, with management experience, and we agree that Fleet Feet really dropped the ball on this one. Bottom line, this is a great place to get a professional recommendation for shoes, but if they don't have them, look elsewhere. And if they ever promise to follow up with you on anything, don't expect them to do so. read more

I first went to Runners Alley because I saw an ad that they were offering a beginners running class for 8 weeks which included the entry fee for the Hollis Fast 5K. I wanted to run a 5K but never having run a road race or how to train for one, I did not know where to start. This class was perfect for me. It taught me how to run in a group, run in the rain and warm up and stretch exercises and gave me confidence. They had guest speakers for physical therapy and even a bra clinic in store before the runs. I learned so much and felt prepared for my first race. It's been 3 years since that class and race and I have signed up for another running class this spring. Their staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Great selection on running shoes and clothes (including bras that are hard to find). I highly recommend Runners Alley! read more
