We stopped into EC Pops right before leaving Baltimore because we wanted to grab a few souvenirs and honestly, this ended up being one of the most fun stops of the trip. I immediately grabbed one of the Baltimore "There's more than m*rder here" sweatshirts and I am obsessed. They also had great crewneck sweatshirts for $15, plus tons of other shirts and gifts. If you're into Old Bay, Baltimore pride, or hyper-specific local humor, this place is your playground. The selection is wild in a good way. Stickers, shirts, hats, gifts you didn't know you needed, and things you definitely wouldn't think of unless you were standing there laughing at them. It's one of those stores where you keep saying, "Oh my god, look at THIS." We went upstairs and noticed a random stuffed squirrel on the floor and kind of laughed it off... until a few minutes later when we learned why. We were greeted by the owner's massive, incredibly friendly Great Dane, who was absolutely beautiful and fully committed to getting attention and love from everyone. We also ended up chatting with the owner about the Edgar Allan Poe duck, which of course we both had to buy. He hand-designed it, it's made in the U.S., and it's exactly the kind of weird-perfect Baltimore souvenir you hope to find but usually don't. After 9 years in the city I wandered into this store and fell in love! So much cool Maryland and Baltimore memorabilia! The staff was really kind and encouraged me to go upstairs and there were even more interesting things up there! I spent 30 mins just exploring. I can't wait to come back and get some souvenirs for family and friends who've moved out of the area. read more

Oh my gosh, I am so excited!! I finally found one of those "Baltimore, We're More than Murder" stickers!! I have wanted one of those foreeeever - so I bought two. This store is so fun. It's the perfect tourist shop. Even though I am Baltimore born, I will totally go back in the future. They've got all the great merch - magnets, shirts, hot sauces, voodoo dolls, books, cups... I have no idea what's upstairs. I assume there isn't an elevator, but I'm not really butthurt about that. Next time I'll probably send Jeremy up there to scout it for me. There's a balcony, so if he finds anything he can show it to me. I must get some of their Poe stuff. It's just a matter of whether I want to keep it all to myself, or buy some for my goth/Poe-loving friends scattered around the country. Both. Probably both. What a fun store! Walking inside, we weren't sure what to expect, is it a candy store? I know anything south of New York soda is called Pop. Why would you call Soda "Pop"? Can you fix that, it's not natural. All kidding aside, EC Pops is a store that is reppin' all things Maryland! And I do love me some Maryland, Old Bay is like a drug to me! I see in the middle of the store a Christmas tree decorated with Old Bay Ornaments, I grab two (one for my son) as well as a Tye Died Old Bay Tee Shirt. Here's the best part, while checking out I asked if there is a military discount. There is! EC Pops, it was a pleasure to shop in your store. Seriously had no clue what to expect when I went into past this on my stroll through Fells Point. What I was not expecting, however, was the best popcorn I have ever tasted. A plethora of different flavors, from sweet, dessert flavors, to the classic savory ones. I can only imagine the other flavors they have in the main store up in Ellicott City. I'll have to visit soon. Besides from the amazing popcorn, there was a wide variety of Maryland merchandise. Since I'm not from Maryland, I didn't pick any up, but if I knew someone who was, I'd send them here. Overall a nice vibe in the store. Both employees I talked to were very welcoming and friendly. Was visiting the area on work travels but such a great place! SO MANY variations of different items to choose from, from funny socks, to hoodies, to various popcorn flavors, candy, soda's.... You name it they probably have it! The staff was helpful in finding the items I needed & perfect for holiday seasons! Prices are not outrageous & I was able to grab quite a few items for about 30 bucks. What I enjoyed even more about this shop is the fact of where it is located! It's in this cute small town that reminds me of towns over in England, small narrow roads & the buildings are very rustic & intriguing. read more

I absolutely love this store! We tripped in here thinking that it would just be fun to look around and I ended up buying T-shirts for my family for Christmas. It was a kick in the butt. I thoroughly enjoyed talking to the gentleman at the counter. He was a wonderful guy and very enthusiastic. He helped me with my socks as I was picking them out. Such a sweetheart he was. I didn't buy any of the popcorn because I had already spent so much money on the T-shirts that my husband and I had purchased. So he hurried me out of there before I could look much further. On our way home we tripped by EC pops again in Ellicott city but of course I wasn't allowed to go in. But I love the Fels point shop and fell in love with it.. As many times I've visited Fells.. I have never seen this gift shop.. This was 2 floors of absolute heaven.. All things nostalgia..all things Baltimore.. It truly brought a smile to my face.. I purchased tons of soda pop, my fav childhood candy & all the magnets! The cashier was an absolute Doll..so friendly & helpful... However, I found out that they are directly attempting to under cut a business just down the street instead of retaining its own style and market image. This is a really fun gift shop in the heart of Fells Point!!!! It is a must stop, even just to look around! I could get sucked in for hours looking at all the fun stuff they have. Highly recommend it! It is a huge store, with two levels. They have TONS of unique and fun socks, coasters, unique sodas, tons of Maryland gear, magnets, etc. They even have Route One Apparel for Maryland stuff! I was really shocked when I walked in because they have filled every inch of this huge space that used to be Party Dress, but they did such a great job with the layout and styling of how they showcase their product. I even took my family in this weekend and they loved it as well! Everyone bought socks and sodas, it is really hard not to get something here! Prices are reasonable and it is just so fun. Lastly, I found out this store used to be an artisan popcorn store in Historic Ellicott City, they also had a separate sock store in EC as well, and with the devastating flood in EC they decided to relocated to Fells Point, and as a resident of Fells we are welcoming them with open arms! read more

My husband and I were in Baltimore for the weekend. While driving, we stumbled upon Broadway Market and decided to check this area out. What caught our attention to the EC pops store on Main Street were the socks on the window. We decided to go in and it's definitely not what I expected but loved it. If you ever need any kind of design, themed, cartoon (just about any kind of) socks, this IS the place. They have Old Bay EVERYTHING (clothes, socks, decor, ornaments - you name it). They also have a cute kid section with clothes, more socks, umbrellas, toys... and they have shirts upstairs on the second floor, don't forget, even more socks!! The shirts were also one of our favorites (tons of good, funny shirts). So everywhere I go/travel to, I buy a shot glass for my collection. I found one here that I loved and decided to buy it. I placed it on the counter and walked over to the wall to look at their magnets (a cousin of mine collects magnets so I always get her one whenever I travel). As I come back to the register, the owner(s) cleaned it and already put vodka in it. Says to me, "We want to make sure the shot glass works before you buy". And there I was, taking a shot with the cashier (one of the owners). I will NEVER forget this and I loved that surprise so much! Needless to say, the shot glass worked perfectly! read more

I've been here before and I walk past all the time but the other day my spouse and I stopped in our tracks as we happened to notice the CEILING just inside the display windows! The Keith Haring-esque design drew us in and one of the workers (perhaps a manager or owner?) said that, plus the large mural and two doors in the back, were recently painted by a local artist. That alone is worth visiting! It is a huge space but there wasn't one other customer - which I've noticed on other visits. There are more socks here than I've ever seen in any other store, tons of T-shirts, gifts, and Maryland-themed items but I actually visit Sound Garden (with fewer of these and similar items but I like their selection much better) more often. Despite my LOVE of socks (2 huge drawers of them), I didn't find anything that tempted me but bought a pair for my daughter. This is a really fun shop with great people. The first time I went by, my dog had to sniff the butt of the bear outside to see if it was real -- very funny! They've been putting out dog biscuits in their entry and my dog loves them, so we started going by more often. They invited me and the dog inside and we explored their extensive decorated collection of T-shirts, socks, coasters, etc. My husband and I have both purchased T-shirts there. We bough the shirts for the design, but discovered they are really nice, comfortable shirts that last well with great-feeling fabric.
