First of all I will say that it is not the most appealing Gentlemans club... however this is not Hollywood, New York City or even DC! When you parked your car you should have had an idea that you weren't going to experience the glitz and glam of the Playboy mansion. The ambience is obviously not the priority of this establishment, it's catered to locals who don't mind being there as long as they get good service good food and good girls dancing with them. Ok So I went to the gentlemans club portion this place, actually with the guy Al below who left 1 star. This place is definitely rough and needs a make over BUT if you're in DC and looking for some dancers that you can actually touch this is the place. Quality of dancer aren't super high but there are some GEMS! No Phones allowed they said take it to the car or check it. It def feels like a set up but you'll be good. Me and my man was looking for a gentlemen's spot that had more than 2 chicks in there. We had gone to 3 spots already. Now this place could use some work but there were like 20 girls on a Saturday night at 1 am. What more could you ask for. I think they had a lady for any kind of appetite you may have as far as women it was cool. After a strong recommendation from my mother-in-law, I went to the Ebony Inn Restaruatn/BBQ joint for lunch. It's located on the border of the city of Seat Pleasant and Fairmount Heights in a pretty rough neighborhood. The building is yellow and very much noticable from the street, Sheriff Road. Nonetheless, despite it's location, the integrity of the place was good. They had a funky (meaning good) drive through, lots of signs and menus posted everywhere and the grounds were clean. I think there is a small juke-joint restaurant on the side which is why it's called "Ebony Inn Restaurant". They may have been, but I am not sure if there is an actual "Inn", but ummm I didnt wanna find out. Barbecue is what I came for and that's all I wanted to get. O-o To me it was your standard bbq hole-in-the-wall joint. Actually it was a lot cleaner than I expected and the people were very friendly. I purchased a rib sammich which was roughly $6.00! Deaaaam that a lot for just that, but I got it anyway. There are no sides with that purchase nor do they sell combo meals, BUT you can buy any side you want on the list for only 95 cents each. I was happy with that, sot hat mitigated my $6.00 damages somewhat. In all it was cool. My meal was decent. Nothing to write home about. If you want some decent bbq that makes you feel like you are home (assuming you grew up in an urban enviorment) then I'd say give it a try. It won't hurt. They need to get rid of that Rasta man at the door, I went there the other day like a bit after one just to find a friend that was on the inside. I said to him I'm not staying, just getting ma friend and I'll be on my way. If phones was allowed then I would not have to go in. However no phones are allowed . The dude said we close in a few minutes but to pass this door it's $20.... mind you I've been there a few times and I spend easily over or close to $700 and I had to pay $20 just to go and get ma friend. I stumbled across Ebony Inn Restaurant last night while on my way home. I was hungry and looking for something quick to grab before I go home and chill out while watching Empire. I went to the drive through window confused and studying the menu. The employee at the window was patient, and gave a few suggestions. I decided on the minced bbq sandwich, potato salad, and coleslaw to top off the sandwich. I don't think that my taste buds were prepared for the taste of the sandwich! Talk about delicious...I could have bit my fingers off. LOL. The BBQ was so delicious that I didn't even get the opportunity to add the bbq sauce that I requested. No additional flavor was needed. The coleslaw tasted as if it could've used some flavoring, but the potato salad was seasoned pretty good! I'm not sure if this meal was so good because I was so hungry, or if it's just always good! By no means am I a wing connoisseur, to be honest, I'm never impressed with the wings most people are impressed by (I'm looking at you,Wingstop!), but these wings right here?!!!! A coworker brought wings from the Ebony Inn to a gathering today and dare I say that these are the best wings I've ever had!! They were so good that I took to-go plate and ate two of them cold on my way home...I don't ever eat meat cold! Do yourself a favor and try these wings. Grabbed a rib sandwich from the establish to discover that some of the ribs wee cooked days ago and obviously reheated and packed in with a few pieces of recently cooked ribs. I arrived around 8 pm and drove through and was totally concerned with my personal safety. There were people randomly just hanging out around the establishment looking like they were ready to attack. As stated, the ribs on the sandwich was old meat and recently cooked meat. I was only ate 10% of the sandwich and trashed the rest. Never going back. Cons - Rough part of town. No seating area. Strip Club in the back. Sides are small. Pros - Food !!! Wings are to die for. They are baked, and have a jerk style dry rub. Come with vinegar based sauce on the side. AND are priced right. $6 for five whole wings. Seasoned, with just a bit of a kick, or should I say "KICK ASS" I don't live in the area, but I will drive for them and won't regret it. Mac and Cheese, with real chese, and off the charts too ! I read the reviews and decided to give it a try. Needless to say, I will not be returning. I ordered the pork minced BBQ sandwich and had to order the sides separately. Even though each side was only .99 cents, I did not get .99 cents worth of sides, but I did get twenty-five cents worth. PATHETIC. Now back to the sandwich. Once I tore into the sandwich, my teeth cracked down on something hard like rocks. I paused, mouth full of minced pork searching for the miniature rock. I could not find it and continued to cautiously chew. I took a couple more bites and no rocks. Just as my confidence was building, I hit another rock (my husband said they were herbs). The meat and potato salad were sour, and I gobbled down the macaroni and cheese in two bites. I'm not a big girl, but I like to be full when I finish a meal. Sadly, I rushed through the food trying to avoid the rocks as best I could and was happy when it was over. Last tip, don't order cakes. They are from a box and hard. Many of the reviews stated the neighborhood was scary, sketchy, frightening, etc. This place is not Germantown or Bethesda, but is does have polite and hardworking people who respect their community and each other.
