Or driver took us to Simi Valley where we started a 4-hour train ride along the coast aboard Amtrak's Coast Starlight Train. In Pismo, the weather was beautiful, warm during the day but not hot, Sept is beautiful in Pismo. Mornings and evenings were crisp but not cold. Our hotel Sandcastle Inn was so nice. The hotel was newly renovated. The staff was pleasant and very helpful. They prepared breakfast for our group and met every request with a smile. Their professionalism and teamwork was very noticeable and welcomed. We visited Moro Bay , their Natural Museum and took a 2 hour lunch cruise aboard Chablis Cruises. It was so nice to learn about Morro Bay from the staff. In the evening we went to Sensorio Light Field of Lights in Paso Robles, where you walk through the fields to view over 80,000 lights that come alive at dark. This was our second time at Sensorio they have added a restaurant, lighted fire pits, and different experiences to accommodate everyone. On Friday, we traveled to Santa Ynez, Ostrich-land and Solvang. We stopped for lunch and shopping for 2 hrs before heading home. Everyone was singing their praises to Paulette and Bob for another wonderful trip. Looking forward to another trip soon.

There were 20 high school seniors and 4 chaperones and we were picked up on time in a clean, beautiful bus, with wonderful service. We spent 10 hours going to different stops in LA and everything was perfect, including an ice chest of ice-cold water! We used them again on our trip to the airport a few days later and same experience. Communication was perfect from inquiry about pricing to contracting and during the trip. I booked with Big C because of the wonderful Yelp reviews and am so glad I did. They will definitely be our go-to charter anytime we are in Southern California. Thanks Clarence!

It's definitely out in the desert, but that makes sense, they need plenty of space to safely house and care for so many different animals. All of the animals looked healthy, well cared for, and comfortable in their habitats. The admission price was very reasonable, and the Extreme Feed experience was absolutely worth it (just keep in mind it's for ages 18+). I know it can feel a little sad seeing animals in enclosures, but learning more about their backgrounds helped put things into perspective. Many of them can't survive in the wild, and this sanctuary gives them a safe, protected place to live with a staff that clearly cares about their well‑being. Overall, it was a meaningful and memorable visit, and I'm glad places like this exist to give these animals a second chance.

1 Star - Very Disappointing Experience…read more We went on an adventure with Action Tours in Big Bear and decided to rent a GoPro from them for $49 (tax included) so we could record the whole experience. What they never told us was that the SD card only holds about 45 minutes of video... even though the tour lasts 3 hours. Because of that, the camera ran out of space before we even really started, and we didn't get to record the full experience at all. When I called afterward to explain the issue, the staff was extremely rude. They basically said, "You rented a GoPro to get a video, and you got a video," and refused to take any responsibility. They made it clear they don't do refunds, even though they never told us about the recording limit in the first place. Overall, the adventure itself is just okay -- you get what you pay for, nothing extra. But the unprofessional and rude staff completely ruined it for us. Definitely do NOT recommend renting the GoPro, and honestly the customer service alone makes it hard to recommend Action Tours at all.

We absolutely acknowledged and took full responsibility for the error, and respectfully reached out to Big Bear Zipline to explain the situation and see what options were available to salvage the experience. As shown in the attached screenshots, we approached the situation kindly, respectfully, and understanding that businesses must balance policies with customer service. We shared that we were not asking for a free experience, but simply hoped for some understanding given the circumstances and the significant payment we had already made. Despite our efforts to find a middle ground, the business remained firm, reiterating that although they "have compassion," they would not accommodate further without additional payment. While we respected their right to enforce their policy, the interaction felt very transactional, and sadly did not reflect the spirit of hospitality we had hoped for when planning a meaningful family trip. We received one email when we purchased the tickets two months ago and one phone call 10 minutes before our scheduled reservation. In the end, it may have been a blessing in disguise. We explored other activities around Big Bear that felt incredibly welcoming, fun, and family-oriented -- experiences that created beautiful memories we will cherish for a lifetime. Scott is an avid Rock Climber and he knows all the cool and underground rock climbing spots :) I've found that it's challenging to find people who love outdoorsy adventures like me. So, I usually end up doing these type of activities solo. I book directly through adventure companies to help ensure I have a safe, education and of course a FUN experience. Booking through "Rock Climb Every Day" couldn't have been more perfect from start to finish. In fact, I'm looking forward to booking another adventure with them. They cater to all levels of rock climbing from beginners to experienced. Most of all, they know how to make outdoor rock climbing easy and fun. They offer beginner rock climbing classes, rock climbing adventures, rappelling adventures, private instruction, family climbing packages, multi-day packages, parties + groups, climbing anchor class, sport climbing, trad climbing and much more! I consider myself a complete novice rock climber. Absolutely no experience - not even indoor climbing. Crazy, right? Our instructor Jim was knowledgeable, timely, communicative and fun! Without his guidance, I don't think I could have made it to the top of the 5.7 climb. He was there every step (literally every inch) of the way. It was truly a "team" effort. We completed 6 climbs ranging from 5.4 to 5.7 (level of difficulty). There were a total of 4 people in our group. 2 had some indoor experience and the other 2 (including myself) had zero experience. And let me tell you - I'm scared to death of heights. Scared AF!!! But isn't it amazing how the BEST things that ever happen in LIFE are the ones we were resistant to get involved with because of fear?? Trust me, it's not easy but stop running away from fear, run towards it! If you don't take action now, you likely never will. Your fears will win + will continue to win until you break the pattern. Start saying YES to fear. The scarier something is, the more you need to do it. I couldn't have overcome my fear of rock climbing without the help + guidance of "Rock Climb Every Day." What are you scared of right now? Rock climbing? What are you telling yourself you can't have, not yet? Rock Climbing? What are you trying to "figure out first"? Rock Climbing? My advice. Called Andrew, who handles the limo reservations, and he said he would give my number to the lady who would know more about the status of our limo. No call from anyone in 30 minutes. Andrew stopped answering my phone calls so my wife got a hold of him with her phone and she got the # of this girl. She answer the phone while pumping gas into her car. She seems exasperated that no one has picked us up. Finally after 2 hours, we get a hold of Zach, our driver and he manages to take us to the tasting appointments we didn't have to cancel. With attempting to get a refund for the 2 add'l purchased hours, Andrew screens my phone calls and never returns the messages I leave. My wife gets him to answer the phone and when confronted with the demand for a refund, he says "I'll call you back in 5 minutes" and hangs up. Did we get a return call? Nope. This company runs a shady operation. They are based out of Los Angeles and it seems they make the "appearance" that they have an office in Santa Rosa. Their employees use cell phones that get calls forwarded to them from the main company number. I am currently working with my CC company to get a full refund. No way is this company going to get away with thievery and deception. Not to be trusted.
