We have been using high desert shuttle for a couple of times already and they always meet expectations. But I thought that yesterday was exceptional. The office called up to confirm some days before our schedule. Then Dion and driver Lester followed up 2 days before schedule. I told them that we'll be traveling with 6 huge luggages. I have used High Desert shuttle in the past and they were promt and courteous. Made the mistake of booking through one of the big companies (Prime Time) that canceled on me last minute and left me stranded hours before a pickup that was scheduled months in advance. Next time I will just start with High Desert Shuttle and save myself some frustration and last minute scrambling. read more

My wife and I were flying from LAX to Hawaii and after years of leaving our car at one of the long term parking lots near LAX we decided to use High Desert Shuttle (I like that they are veteran owned and a local company). I called them two weeks in advance and asked them to pick us up at home at 6 am. On the pickup day, March 3, 2017, our driver, Alicia (I hope I spelled her name correctly) arrived exactly at 6 am. The van was clean and we were the only passengers. She loaded our luggage into the back of the van, my wife and I loaded ourselves into the seats, and Alicia ran my credit card for the fare. Then, off we went to LAX. Alicia is very personable and we had a very nice conversation during the two-hour ride to LAX. I asked her about the process of being picked up at LAX and she explained how that works. She dropped us off at LAX and we gave her a nice tip. Alicia made the entire trip to LAX very relaxing. Our return from Hawaii, on March 13, saw our plane delayed getting to its gate at LAX due to fog. A plane heading to San Diego had been diverted to LAX and was at "our" gate. As we taxied around waiting for the other plane to be pushed away from the gate, I turned on my cell phone and had a message saying that our driver, Dayne, had arrived. The message included the phone number we should call when we were ready for pickup. I called Dayne while we taxied, and gave him the bad news that we would be late getting off the plane. He said we shouldn't worry about that, and to just call him when we were standing outside baggage claim. Eventually, we got off the plane, got our luggage, and I called Dayne. After a few minutes, he showed up. Since there are no signs on the van, I had to guess if the white van pulling up to the curb was the one driven by Dayne. It was. Dayne looked very professional in his black limo driver's suit, tie, and hat. As with Alicia, he loaded our luggage, my wife and I got in, and off we went. We didn't get out of LAX until after midnight and I was thrilled to let someone else do the driving. Once again, we were lucky enough to be the only passengers in the van. As with the Alicia ride, Dayne, my wife, and I had a wonderful conversation all the way back to Victorville. Dayne was relatively new with the company and his professionalism, excellent driving, and personality make him a fine addition to the company's staff. By the time Dayne dropped us off at our front door, it was like we were old friends. We gave him a very nice tip and watched as he drove away (around 2:00 am or so). My wife and I both decided that we made the right decision using High Desert Shuttle for our ground transportation. Overall, from speaking to the woman in the office to make the reservation, to the punctuality of the vans, to riding with Alicia and Dayne (two very personable and professional drivers), to the cost of the roundtrip, everything went extremely smooth. We go to Hawaii at least once per year and we will definitely be using High Desert Shuttle for our future trips. We highly recommend you try them, too. Edit #1 (3/18/2018): So my wife and I used High Desert Shuttle again on 2/3/18 to LAX and 2/11/18 back home. Going to LAX we had Brandon as our driver. Our van had one other person in it when we were picked up at 4 AM on a Saturday. We dropped her off at Ontario Airport and then headed to LAX. As with Alicia and Dayne, Brandon was very professional, an excellent driver (very smooth and always within the speed limit), and very personable. We all had a wonderful conversation as we safely headed to LAX. My wife and I would definitely drive with Brandon in the future. On the way back home Jessica was our driver. She had just dropped off a large party and her van was pulling a small trailer used for carrying all of their luggage. This was one of those days when the Cajon pass was very windy. I've seen enough 18-wheelers on their side from these winds that I worried (just a little bit) about our mostly empty trailer. But, as it turned out, there was nothing to be worried about. Jessica is a great driver, professional, and handled the van plus trailer combination like a pro. She can drive us in the future and I know my wife and I are in good hands! We've had four shuttle trips now and four different drivers. All have been great! I guess High Desert Shuttle does a wonderful job screening their driver candidates. We'll be using them again in May. Will we see Dayne, Brandon, or Jessica again (Alicia is no longer with them)? Who knows. But, based on all of the above, I'm not worried no matter who drives us. read more

I called for a pickup One week before arrival. They said they would email back within 24 hrs. They didn't email so I called. No answer. So I went online and never did find a way to request a pickup online. Then I get a phone call two days before my arrival. I told them I found someone else since they never contacted me. Then they call again one hour after my arrival saying they're going to pick me up! get it together people. read more

Decided to take a shuttle to LAX to avoid hassle. High Desert shuttle was great! Jessica picked us up early and was all around awesome. She made sure we were comfortable with the temperature and was just great to drive with. On our return trip, Paula picked us up promptly...we didn't even have to wait! I have to occationally travel for business and used High Desert Shuttle 3 times in the last 2 months to and from LAX. Friendly drivers, clean cars and most importantly, on time. However, when I tried to book my 4th booking I am suddenly told that I have been charged the wrong rate and my round trip cost will now be $20 more for the additional 3 miles between my house and their fare boundary . That is not the way you treat recurring business. read more

I made online reservation with HDS and received confirmation for a ride from ONT airport to AV. HDS accepted the reservation, including a "reminder." The following week, after my travel began and I could not leave my car at the airport, I received notice that HDS would not fulfill its obligation. The representative said HDS did not have availability to provide transportation. Their reservation system gives the false assurance that they will provide the requested transportation. I had very good experience with them in the past. But, this is unacceptable. Gave a 1 star because couldn't leave no star. read more

Christy stayed in close contact, keeping me updated from rescheduling the service (missed flight) to when we could expect the driver. She went out of her way to make sure my father was picked up and well supported. The kind driver graciously assisted paperwork when the airline lost his mobility scooter. She also helped him with getting him assistance on their arrival in Barstow. They accepted my reservation, even sent me a confirmation, then didn't show up. When I called was put on hold for another 20 min, before I hung up. When they finally called me back they said a driver would be there in an hour. Overall 2 hrs later then scheduled and would never get me to the airport on time . When the manager called he got upset with me because I raised my voice to him . Poorest service I ever had and no regard to my flight time. Never will used this service again. read more

We used this service to transport eight of us to Long Beach cruise terminal. They provided a trailer to put all of our luggage. Jessica, the driver, was very courteous & professional. She arrived on time both leaving and returning. The service was extremely reasonable in price. The driver drove in a very safe manner. Update: They did a good job in getting back with me to rectify the situation. The sent a check to compensate for the lunch I paid for a friend coming to pick me up and took off any charges. Good sometimes, not so others. Shuttle services are only effective if they can be depended upon. Drivers fail to contact passengers at airport when they are late, leaving passengers to worry and wait. To be a service, they must be dependable. A simple phone call when running late would solve the issue. read more

My family used HDS for a wedding. For us it seemed a complicated process to get all our guests (apprx 100) from the hotel to the venue............BUT not for HDS. The service we experienced from the first phone call to the actual event was amazing. HDS never faltered, they were always polite and accommodating. Because of there commitment the whole process from pick up to returning our guests went off without a hitch. Travel to Ontario Airport 3-4 times/year. Wasn't confident about this service to begin with due to delayed responses with inquiry. Searching for transportation alternatives instead of car rental from Ontario Airport to surrounding community and stumbled across this on internet with only 1 review. Called and left voicemail then sent email to inquire about arrangements. Email response 4 days later. When attempting to make reservation few weeks later for pick up in 4 days, left 2 voice mails, one in a.m. and 2nd one late evening. Sent email to request reservation after 2nd call attempt. Tommy called back to confirm within 30 minutes of email and later sent confirmation email with incorrect pick up time of 10:50 p.m. (flight arrival scheduled for 9:50 a.m.). I caught error immediately and time correction was confirmed via email within 24 hours. Day of pick up, outbound flight was delayed (mechanical) and flight was re-booked by SWA staff with additional airport transfers and eventual 9 hour delay from original reservation pick up time. During entire day of travel as delays were updated, I contacted shuttle service to keep them informed of delays, leaving voice mail with 1st two calls since service was not open yet (3 hour time difference). On 4th notification to shuttle with flight delay update, I spoke with Paula to inform her arrival time to Ontario was still unknown and asked if reservation could be cancelled with refund since my son was now able to pick me up after his workday with predicted (but still unknown) late arrival time. This trip was to see his family but his work schedule would only permit me to see him for a few hours of the evening on my arrival date, provided I arrived on time earlier that day, With the unknown arrival time now, the hour it would take us to travel to his home would now be the only time I would spend with him during my stay. I explained this to Paula who seemed sympathetic as I became tearful about the events of the day, but then she turned call over to Tommy, the owner who handled this customer service request in a very unprofessional manner. I was taken aback by his response of anger, yelling on phone about contract rules clearly stated and only option was to provide a credit, good for 30 days but no refund. "Contract rules are clearly posted and I've had a driver hired all day waiting to pick you up". At one point, he stated "you're just lucky I didn't charge you today for each time you called to change your reservation", referring to the calls with updates that Paula acknowledged her appreciation for. I asked for the manager/owner's name and Tommy informed me he was the owner. When I asked for his last name, he shouted, "I'm not telling you that. You have no reason to know, none of your business". Eventually, he agreed to refund the reservation, when I mentioned filing a complaint, stating "you know, we don't want to transport people like you anyway" and disconnected the call. I now see on the profile that this service is run by military veterans. My son is a retired veteran of the USAF and living across the U.S. during his time served, every moment with family is valuable to us. I'm wondering why this is posted on the website since its appalling to me that a veteran wouldn't consider the importance of precious family moments together, given the time our veterans spend away from family while they serve. Be wary of using this service, should your travel circumstances change beyond your control at the discretion of the airline industry since they don't appear to be family friendly. Customer service is my profession and I would never consider shouting at a customer, no matter how inflexible the contract rules are. read more
