Metro School Uniforms

During the school year, there needs to be more than one person assisting customers with the logo…read moreuniforms. Waiting 2.5 hours while there are 35 people in line is completely unreasonable. There were three people at the registers, yet no customers were ready to pay because everyone was still waiting to receive their merchandise. The entire process was very unorganized and inefficient. We need another option for purchasing school uniforms, such as additional staff during peak times, online ordering, or another uniform provider. Parents should not have to spend several hours waiting just to purchase or pick up school uniforms.

Extremely disappointed with my experience with Metro School Uniforms…read more I placed an online order for my daughter's KIPP Academy uniform on July 28, specifically because their website stated that orders being processed would be shipped or ready for pickup within 5-7 business days. On August 11, after receiving no pickup notification, I emailed asking for an update. I was then told to allow 15-20 business days, which was completely different from the timeframe provided when I placed my order. It is now August 18, THREE WEEKS after I placed and paid for my order, and my daughter starts school tomorrow. I still do not have her uniform. Today alone, I emailed again, called and left a voicemail, and physically went to the store TWICE. Both times the line was wrapped outside and around the corner. When I finally spoke with someone, they still could not give me an answer about when my order would be ready. What makes this even more frustrating is the complete lack of communication. If a business knows it cannot fulfill orders within the timeframe advertised, customers should be told that BEFORE taking their money. Parents are depending on these uniforms for their children to start school. I ordered three weeks ahead of time. This was not a last-minute purchase. I should not have to chase a business through repeated emails, phone calls, voicemails, and multiple trips to the store just to find out where a PAID order is. At this point, I have escalated my concerns directly to management and am filing a formal complaint with the BBB. Back-to-school season being busy is understandable. Taking orders, giving customers unrealistic fulfillment times, failing to communicate, and leaving parents without required uniforms when school starts is not. This entire experience has been unacceptable.

" Nifty bike shop with a social change mission " If you…read moreneed a bike or a repair this is your place . Check out their site so you can read about them and their mission . The staff is ultra friendly. They have reasonable pricing. It's definitely the at to go . They have a big parking lot; so parking should not be an issue .

I don't know if I have just had exceptionally bad luck at my BnB visits or not but I have honestly…read morenever been super impressed. Sure, everyone is super friendly and their mission is A+ but for actually buying a bike here...it's a weird experience. I went in recently to get a bike for a kid (preferably used (and I specified this to the salesperson) and was immediately shown a $1200 new bike. After saying that it was too expensive, a (new) (and cheaper) bike was brought out to show the kid that was in a frame 2 sizes too small. We did a test ride, liked the bike, and then when going over more details of the bike, I noticed that the kid was already beyond the height range for the frame (XS frame). Fine. They bring out another size (M frame). We test ride that and it goes well but then a different employee says that THAT frame size was too small and to scale up to a L frame. I did not agree with this assessment. Inside the store, yet a third salesperson recommended we stay at the M, even with accounting for growth. We ended up buying the bike with an accessory that was to be installed upon purchase. We buy the bike, buy the accessory, they take the bike back to tune it up to leave the store. They take a long time to do that with a vague explanation about the rotors and the front brakes but that it was fixed. Awesome. We leave the store and are headed home but then I notice that the accessory wasn't installed. Back we go for another 10-15 minute wait and no real apology for not doing the work right in the first place. Years ago, I went to check out buying a bike (at the old location near Green St.) and the salesperson would only talk to me about single speed bikes even after specifying that I was only interested in a geared bike. Another time I went to pick up a pre-paid special ordered part and the floor salesperson didn't know how to find a special order in the store. I had seen this person on the floor before, so I knew it wasn't, like, their first day, week, or even month. I don't know. Everyone else seems to love this place and maybe I've just had continual bad luck here. 2 stars for everything about the store, the third star is for the mission and programming for kids.
