There's always great parking too! I've gotten some food here, as much it may take a while to make. The food is made really well. They have great daily specials as well.

Hot and fresh. Only problem is that the cheese sauce has a film and was like water. It was scorching hot though. The burger was good sized, hot, and juicy. I wish that they offered to cook it to a temp other than mid-well. Over all, this place is fine. Nothing fancy, you get what you pay for. If I were in town again, I'd stop in again. Just a note. They charge a 3% surcharge if you pay by credit card. It's not noted anywhere with signage. It's not on the menu in fine print. It shows up on your bill. I've heard people say that "if you can't afford to tip, don't eat out. Well if you have to charge people a surcharge to pay by credit card, then don't open a restaurant. If you are going to do that, then post it on the menu and at the front counter so people know.

Had to go to Joliet for work and stayed near Heroes West. A coworker from the area referred to the…read morerestaurant as a "higher end" version of Applebees. I can see why he said that. Inside this location resembles an industrial sports bar with concrete floors and iron accompaniments throughout the establishment. Service was good, the waitress was really friendly, kind, and accommodating. The ticket times were fine, not super get out of here fast, but also not you're stuck in the booth slow. Coworker ordered a patty melt and waffle fries with Italian spring rolls. I ordered basically a custom blackened salmon sandwich with only avocado on it and a side of waffle fries. I had a pretzel too. The pretzel was a bit weird for me; felt and tasted like a brioche bun which overall the idea seems amazing, but I want my pretzels exceptionally salty. The salmon was acceptable but realistically overcooked. The fries were amazing, quite possibly the best version of waffle fries I've ever had. Think of Arby's seasoned curly fries but in a waffle shape. Overall not a bad meal but not an exceptional one. I'd return if I had to revisit this area for work again.

The atmosphere is pleasant, with background music. The building has old charm, but at the same time seemed new and fresh. We started with fried calamari, which V said was the best he had in a while. I suspect it should have been taken out of the fryer a few seconds sooner, as I detected a hint that the breading was slightly burnt. I ordered a chopped salad with grilled chicken. It was quite tasty and had generous portions of blue cheese and bacon, yummy. V had a Lamb Chop which came with mashed potatoes. He enjoyed his meal, it the lamb was cooked well done, just like he ordered. We shared a slice of Blueberry Cheesecake, and it was the perfect finish to the meal. We would definitely come back again, from hospitality, to atmospher and food, it's a very good experience.

McBride's is one of several locations so you can check out and compare these. Certainly seems like a place to come for a gathering. There's plenty of tables as well as TVs for watching games and whatever kinds of sports. Beers and other alcoholic beverages are why you come to an Irish pub of course. It's got a few deals going on. There's of course the Guinness on tap. Can't go wrong with it. Saturdays it's $6 a pint. As for the food, it's basic. It's $7 to get a few of the Pretzel Sticks. Could be the healthiest food here. These are topped with garlic butter and salt, and served with bistro sauce and nacho cheese, but I got mine without the butter and had mustard. Have to say it's a lot better than expected. It's got lots of specials that help save money for more to get drunk on. The food is okay while being pretty meaty, with bangers and mash types of things, but they also have pretzels.

Basically it has a ton of stuff on tap as expected. It's a bar that caters to the service industry. These are bar and restaurant workers. A lot of pretty good specials to check out. It's $7 for most pints. Also they have lots of liquors. They just don't have any food though. Also the prices are kind of high on everything. The discounts are okay but even so, many other bars around here are cheaper to be honest. For sure it has a few good things about it, mainly how much there is to choose from. It's located on Jefferson Street in a strip plaza. There's lots of beers but no food, but there's a few restaurants including Aurelio's and La Mex in the plaza so you can eat there, or you can bring in takeout.
