Tofu Steak & Salmon Lover Platter

We had just flown into Dublin and went straight here to have dinner. Had their tofu steak and salmon lover platter and both were delicious! We came back a couple more times to have their unagi bowl and although the unagi was yummy, they use the vinegar sushi rice below, which we weren't a fan of but it was still good. Nice, comfortable ambiance.

Service was wonderful and food superb! Tempura, dumplings, salmon teriyaki, seafood cha han were all excellent. Lots of options for veggies. Very pleased!

This place was so good we had to come back again for supper! The staff is so nice and helpful! Really, they are just the kindest group of people!!! Eat here for the people-Come back again & again for the amazing food!!! We ordered the Chicken Wings-the flavor of these wings is a sweet & spicy sauce that sticks to the wings and your fingers! They are the essence of "finger licking good!" No worries-they provide you with a hot bowl of lemon water to wash your hands so you do not have to use those NASTY wipes that smell bad and make your fingers take gross afterwards!!! Next, we ordered the Duck Spring Rolls-the duck in these rolls must be cooked separate because the meat is not dry but very juicy & full of flavor! As a hunter myself, they have cooking duck down to a science! Plus, their dipping sauce is just magical!!!! We ordered 2 orders of Rainbow Sushi Rolls-oh dear Lord was this amazing! We ordered an extra side of Eel Sauce ( for my daughter) and a side of Spicy Mayo Sauce (for me). These rolls are so huge, they will put your chopstick talents to the test!!! Every bite of these rolls brings an avalanche of different flavors! These rolls are why sushi is so addicting!!!! Note: we have pics from 2 visits! Enjoy this place!!!!!! Tell them we say "Hello!" MOST SINCERELY! Dayla & Denae (12-27-21 & 12-30-21)

Restaurant located in a alley but easy to find. There was 6 of us and we enjoyed all the dishes. Soup was pork based and pretty good but No Tonkatsu on menu. Sashimi and sushi was very fresh and chicken gyoza and tempura was awesome. Food served fast and very friendly staff. We had 10 min wait for our table . Not bad for 7pm dinner.

I was thinking about how good the food was here during my visit to Dublin. This is a smaller restaurant nearby Temple Bar with delicious food. The thought of the gyoza puts a smile on my face. The edamame was a nice lightly salted treat. And the noodles and chicken were to die for. Very fast, polite waitstaff. The food does all the talking here.

The gyoza had a very juicy filling, but the wrapping was very soggy. The chicken katsu curry was not any special, but for the lunch special price it was worth it.

Lovely service and a great variety on the menu here at Eat Tokyo! I stopped in for a little lunch while sightseeing in Dublin. Opted for the Yasai Noodles which had fried egg, tofu, and various vegetables in a nice sauce. Also had a miso soup. I'd definitely return to try more of their extensive menu -- sushi, yakisoba, and tons of other fun Japanese dishes to choose from!

Wife and I popped into Eatokyo on our to tour Guinness. We've been wanting to switch up the type of food we've been eating. Having stopped in here, we definitely wish we'd come earlier in our trip (as this is our last day). The food was DELICIOUS! The staff was very polite and helpful, and the food was delicately prepared. They really take pride in the food that's served. We will be back the next time were in Dublin. Go get a bite from Eatokyo! Fabulous.

Great staff, we made friends with one of the waitresses cause she was so nice and friendly. Food was excellent, plates are really nice and really nice prices. They have lunch and dinner menus. I'll definitely come back.

Amazing food. Amazing service. Great wee place in the heart of Dublin. Struggled to pick what we wanted because there was so many amazing dishes on offer. Tried the Plum wine for the first time as well, delicious. Will definitely be back the next time we visit Dublin. A place that's perfect for a dinner setting and lunch as well.

The service is extraordinary. Vegan menu available. I've ordered the pickle and avocado sushis, and the fried tofu. It was extraordinary. We got complimentary miso soups, that turned my girlfriend's attention to the thing, it's that good! Totally recommended.

I am a native New Yorker and I did not expect that by far the greatest Japanese food I have ever tasted would be in Dublin. The fish was very fresh. Each dish was deliciously prepared. The service was absolutely superb and our waitress was very attentive, polite, and sweet. We fell in love with the food and even came back a second time a few days later to enjoy it one more time before leaving Ireland.

Holy Cow! This place is awesome. It's a pretty small restaurant....but the food is incredible. I was with some work colleagues who really liked the sushi (ate 6 rolls between the three of them) and I had teriyaki chicken, which was awesome. I'm also told by my colleagues that the Tiger beer is good too. The restaurant itself is nice and the staff is attentive and helpful. If you happen to find yourself down near Temple Bar in Dublin and in need of lunch or dinner, I would encourage you to visit Eatokyo for a bite. Price is pretty good for what you get and the menu is expansive. If you're a sushi person or not, you'll find something!

I was lucky to find this hidden gem in Dublin last week while on a trip with family . The service was great and our orders came out quickly . It was not a crowded evening . Our table had some cocktails , pornstar martini, hot herbal tea , Sweet potato tempura rolls, Dragon rolls , VegGyoza, Mapo tofu with rice on the side . Everything was delicious!! The ambiance of the restaurant felt authentic. From the art to the decor to the serving trays/dishes and utensils. The restaurant has a nice intimate feel like you're having dinner with your family. We were seated quickly and our server was attentive and helpful. We all started off with the sake pornstar martini. It was really good, a bit on the sweeter side. For all appetizers we had the edamame and gyoza. The gyoza included chicken and a nice sauce. It was a nice size portion (~6-7 pieces). Both were really good. For our main dish we had the Kimchi ramen, Maneki yaki soba and the spider roll. The ramen was a nice size portion and was packed with a variety of meats. My friend said the broth was really good and spicy. The Yaki soba was a perfect portion for me. It included roasted chicken, prawns, roasted pork and veggies. It was very flavor and good. It also came with a side of miso soup which was perfect. The spider roll was massive. There were 8 giant pieces and it was tasty! I also snapped photos of our neighbors Teppan salmon teriyaki and beef teriyaki. They said both were amazing. I've seen a few reviews mention the pricing is a bit higher but it was worth it in my opinion. The portions were a bit larger than what I've experienced before, the food was tasty, the drinks were good and service was great. They also do karaoke upstairs and it was actually pretty entertaining listening to them while we ate. There is an automatic 12% gratuity/service fee included but there is a note that you are not required to pay. Definitely keeping this on my list for the next visit.

I wouldn't recommend getting a bowl unless you have a big appetite, and you may not want to order any appetizers (it's that much food in the bowl - gotta love it). I had the tuna Ngiri and it was sooo good. Now I like to order it from my favorite sushi place back home; they left such a great impression. The atmosphere is lovely, clean, and welcoming. Ugh, they make me wish I were in Ireland right now lol. The service was excellent. Aside from making me smile with great humor and politeness, they also want to make sure you enjoy your meal. I just felt like it was all love, where they want to make sure that nothing is wrong. You don't get that everywhere. I also enjoyed the jokes and laughter, which might not be the norm (the politeness is, of course, probably the norm). I was a humorous customer who probably made them equally comfortable, which is incredible. That's why it is always important to be nice to your servers. I genuinely appreciate both my visits there (yes, I went twice; the place was that good and the vibe was that great, lol).

The Hamachi sashimi was surprisingly good for the price, thick cuts with the standard light and savory taste of hamachi, fiber felt fresh and was a bit bouncy, no foul odor or mushy mouthfeel in typical cheap Japanese eateries. KaraAge fried chicken came in small bite-size pieces, freshly fried, juicy, but a bit too bland and the pastry was a bit too thick. Also wish they had used a better sauce than simply shoyu (soy sauce). Overall the food was OK for the price, you get what you paid for.

This was a recommendation from a local so we had high hopes for it. It's so bad I'm writing this…read morereview as I'm sitting here waiting for the check. When we arrived, the door was locked and some employee opened it for us but then walked away. It took a few minutes for us to be acknowledged by someone else to seat us. When the server approached, we ordered water to start. When he returned with the water, we asked if they had straws and all he said was "yes" and he walked away when we said we needed a minute to order food. We ordered different things such as sushi rolls and gyoza and after an hour being there, we had received nothing. When the food finally came, my order was missing a roll and had sashimi on the plate, so he took the plate back. When he returned, he said the kitchen had made a mistake and they were out of tuna, even though the plate he took from me had tuna. The only thing that was wrong on the original plate was the sashimi. He asked if I wanted something else and I was so hungry, I asked if my other order could come out while I looked at the menu. What I did receive, did not have any tuna, even though the menu said it should, I guess that's my fault for asking for the other 2 rolls to come out, thinking all they would do is take the sashimi off the plate, but he should have told me they would not have any tuna at all to make sure I would still want it. The sushi did not have any flavor, not even the soy sauce helped. The most flavorful thing on the plate was the sesame seeds and I wasn't the only one at the table who thought that. It was so unenjoyable that I could not even finish the 2 rolls I had in front of me. The service was overall terrible, the server was not attentive or friendly. The food was severely overpriced. The only good thing about this meal was the gyoza, and that another server came to tell us the kitchen was doing a last call for food. It's definitely one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had and our group of 6 is all in agreement. Would not recommend, would absolutely not return, not even for free.
