This spot really made me miss buffets. I live in Vegas, which used to be the land of the buffets but not so much these days. We were in town for a week to see family, and eventually I started getting ads for this spot because the internet is always listening. And I'm a sucker for a good deal so we headed here for dinner.* This spot has a retro diner vibe with a full menu plus the option to do a salad bar as a side or meal, kids under a certain age are free. The deal I came in for involved getting a burger for $1 when you purchase the salad bar, and the variety was great - ample fixings for salad including ham, beans, and pepperoni for protein, pasta salad and fruit, several dressings, three soups, mini muffins, and more. This was great for me even without the burger (which was fine, I omitted the bun) but more than that, coming here enlightened me to how perfect salad bars and buffets are for toddlers - I just got a plate with pinches of several bite-sized options perfect for my daughter to explore. My husband and FIL each got the chicken fried steak with various sides and devoured their plates while I was tending to the little one. Service was friendly, and we were one of several families seated in a particular area with kids. Note that if you need a booster seat, theirs is essentially a couch cushion without a back, which was a first for me. *Joke's on me. While a deal brought us in, the salad bar I ordered was actually the most expensive meal for our group - $13 for that, plus the $1 for the burger, toddler was free, and the CFS plates were $12. Get some popcorn -- this will be a long one. My fiancée and I have been to Eat'n Park many times. We love it, but the service and overall experience during our last few visits have been pretty unacceptable. One of the worst experiences involved a particularly rude waitress. I was talking to my fiancée about our budgeting for the next week (which is none of the waitress's business), and she apparently overheard our conversation. From the moment we sat down, she gave us a very rude and nasty attitude. She leaned against one of the booths or sat at the table next to us, showing no sense of professionalism. When taking our drink order, we asked for a minute to look over the menu (like everyone does), and she came back five minutes later and said, "You guys going to order or leave?" Like, what the hell? After we got our drinks and food, we didn't see her again until she came to ask if we wanted the check. No refills, no checking on us -- nothing. And when she did come to give us the check, she said it with a very nasty tone. I understand people have bad days at work, but don't take it out on the customer. We still tipped her (not a great tip, because of her attitude -- she could've earned more if she wasn't so rude). Next incident: This happened today, 4/1/25. We sat down near the back of the restaurant -- a nice, quiet area with plenty of open seating nearby (literally no one else was there). We ordered our food and drinks pretty quickly. Then a family came in and was seated right in front of us, closest to the kitchen door. Our waitress apparently knew them (which is nice -- always good to have regulars), BUT she completely forgot about us. She clearly focused on the other table over ours. Not to sound entitled, but in restaurants, every guest deserves equal respect and attention. We got our drinks quickly, but the soup took longer. Our appetizer took around 30 minutes to arrive, while the family that sat down after us already had their food and drinks. While taking our order, the waitress would look directly at the other table and make comments to them, continuing her conversation with them as if we weren't even there. Our food took an hour and a half to arrive. There were only two of us, and the family of five who arrived after us got their food way earlier. To top it off, my fiancée's food was wrong, and mine was cold. Completely unprofessional. In conclusion: We've had fine service here in the past, but the last couple of times have been completely unacceptable and very unprofessional. I truly hope this restaurant improves its service in the future. read more

This store has been going down hill since the remodeling. I don't know if it's the inability to hire good people, poor management, or both. I used to eat here several times a week but I will not be going back until there is a change in the positive direction. It was very convenient since I live a few blocks from the store. In contrast their other location on Route 8 north has wonderful service, a friendly staff and are very accommodating to their customers. Heads up EatNPark the customer isn't coming in to serve your needs but to be serviced by you. The number 1 rule on hospitality is making sure the customer feels welcomed and appreciated. The place was clean and service was good - yet our food took 15 minutes to arrive. We just ordered burgers and it was lunchtime. The breakfast buffet was in an odd location and was dark and didnt look ready. Plastic on everything.. one wonders "plastic on there from yesterday"? No thank you. We stopped in here on a whim on a Saturday evening. There was no wait to be seated and we were greeted promptly by the hostess. The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated with pies and cookies up front to tempt you into buying. The menu is large and has something for everyone, whether you want a burger, breakfast or seafood. The only reason I docked a star is because the food took almost 45 minutes to come out. It was tasty though. I ordered a buffalo chicken wrap, onion rings and cheese sticks. It was all good but the best thing on the plate was the ranch dressing. It's obviously homemade (it's easy to tell because store bought ranch has a vinegar taste whereas homemade is more creamy). I loved it so much that I asked if they sell it and they do so I bought a pint of it. Yum! The prices are pretty standard for this type of place so it was about $40 tip and all for three meals. I purchased the eggs Benedict breakfast with Hot Tea. Was severely disappointed when my hot water came out on the warm side, not hot enough for the tea to steep in the 3-5 minutes it's supposed to. The eggs Benedict was supposed to be on toasted English muffins and there was no mention of paprika in the menu. My dish arrived with untoasted English muffins, the eggs were almost over hard, and the Hollandaise sauce was covered in paprika. Couldn't get past two bites. Would not recommend to anyone. We have been here at least 4 times in the last week for breakfast and lunch. The food was excellent, but the reason for the 4 stars was because service was extremely slow. The restaurant was clean, and the staff friendly. I highly recommend this Eat'nPark, and will be back. read more

This is the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant, the waitress Harlen did not even know things on the menu worked or what she can and can not do, then another employee Abby stood across from our table just staring at us, at this point we decided that we did not want to eat at this establishment and sent the food back and paid for what was already started to be eaten. The manager in training came out and the general manager and both parties said their employees behavior was unacceptable but still charged us the full amount and let us walk out of that establishment unsatisfied. I run someone's business and if I ever treated my customers like this I would be fired in a heartbeat. This is why this eat n park is so empty at dinner time because it is terrible. Since the new restaurant opened, it is much cleaner. The service is terrible, and the they tell you when you sit down to order the salad bar, because the kitchen is backed up, and the food will take at least 1/2 hour. That is not a problem for me, because I am retired. I understand that people no longer want to work, so hiring is difficult. Companies like this need to start pressuring our politicians to end all the ridiculous government programs that are paying people more to stay home, halting rent payments etc...If companies can't get workers than they will end up going out of business read more

I have loved Eat 'n' Park since I was a kid, but anymore the quality is just not the same. This one is newly remodeled and looks gorgeous inside. But we went there for breakfast and at $10 a meal, which I think is quite a lot for a small breakfast, you would think they would be able to nail it. I chose scrambled eggs, bacon, and a cinnamon apple waffle. The eggs tasted gross and weren't fluffy at all - they were literally flat cooked eggs that were then folded up to look "scrambled." (They were slightly thicker than a crepe.) So.... Someone mixed up an egg, spilled it onto a griddle, and just let it sit there untouched til it was overcooked on the underside and cooked on top. How can you be this lazy with, literally, SCRAMBLED EGGS? Also they tasted really strange, and didn't have a grain of salt. Then the bacon - it was half undercooked, and somehow ALSO had the same off-putting strange taste! Normally I LOVE bacon, even if it's a little over or underdone, but I couldn't even eat them. The cinnamon apple waffle was REALLY good, which redeemed the meal somewhat. It genuinely tasted like freshly made cinnamon apples with just the right amount of tart/sweet ratio and firmness of the apples. I really wish the rest was as good as this! Worst food I've ever had. Most recent visit was decidedly the last. Only went because it was after midnight and options are very limited around here. Server never introduced himself, just sighed and asked what we wanted. We were the only table there. Wife's salad came out hot and soggy on a very hot plate. Clearly it was placed under a heat lamp for some time because who doesn't put their salads under the heat lamp? Burger was, as always, burnt so bad it was like biting into a rubber tire and simply crumbles into dry powder in the mouth and of course missing half the toppings from the picture and menu listing, but it doesn't even matter at that point. Between the two, I'd enjoy just eating the $35 instead next time. read more

I guess a one star review is a necessity when zero stars isn't an option. Any other day this is a mediocre, 3 star restaurant, but the last time I was there, the management decided it was better to have people wait 40 minutes by the door because the kitchen was "backed up." They literally refused to let anyone wait or be served drinks comfortably at a table, of which they had plenty. It was an outrage that they kept dozens of people standing only to watch party after party leaving while being denied a seat. A bigger insult was, that the manager wouldn't even come and address the situation, which MANY people requested, but perhaps the biggest insult of all is corporate management, since I received no response to my written complaint. I guess the mismanagement apple doesn't fall from from the tree. IHOP, if you're listening, please come to Butler and show them how it's done. I'd be glad to sit at one of your tables. Love this place Missy knows what my mom and i order every time fast reliable and great food.

It was filthy. Hostess took me to an empty table that had not been washed off. Seats were covered in crumbs. She went and got a dry napkin to wipe off the table. I was not impressed.Many tables were empty with the previous diners dishes still on the table. It took the waitress 10 minutes to even come to the table and then another 20 minutes for me to get my hamburger. This was the worst experience I have ever had here. OK, I've been here many times and always stuck to safe breakfast options. But the other night we stopped in for a quick late night dinner and I was in the mood for something other than eggs. I never knew they had liver and onions on the menu and I was hesitant to order it..but seriously, if you like liver (which I know is an acquired taste), it was awesome!
