This place has a dive bar feel and the food was exactly what I was looking for. Ridgway is no way a foodie place so my expectations were low but I was pleasantly surprised. We sat at the bar and service was great! I would hands down visit this spot again when we roll through the area. Enjoy the pic of the bird painting. You're welcome.

Montauk sandwich

We found this spot at the end of our trip and wish we'd found it earlier. We both had the Montauk and neither of us could all of it. It was huge and delicious. The outdoor seating area is lovely with a nice view of the mountains. The service was fast and the staff was friendly. We will definitely return next time we visit Ridgway.

Absolutely can't go wrong here! Best food we've had in awhile eating out! We sat at the bar which was fun to see everyone come in and order. Burger was huge and I had the special tacos which were great. Impressed they had a specific Philly cheesesteak that even had Amorosa rolls!

Stopped here for a quick lunch with a friend. We were pleasantly surprised by the aesthetics and warm welcome as we entered. The server was helpful with recommendations and the food was mouthwatering good!! I tried the bhan mi sandwich and my friend ordered the mushroom burger (special), and we shared the deviled eggs appetizer (special). We loved everything we ordered and I would be a regular here if I lived near by! Worth checking out!!!

Great place! Food was creative and substantial! French onion was one of the best I've had. Korean pork sandwich was perfect and don't forget to try the Carrot Cake!

My visit here was post backpacking trip. Two nights in the mountains and I come out always ready to eat almost anything! But having two guest from out of state I wanted something they will remember. Yelp app to the rescue! Highly rated and cute as hell inside and a sunny patio to boot with a streamline parked next to it n left me with an impression that it's there permanently? I asked a bunch of questions so I can provide the right 411 when I write here but obviously missed asking about the Streamline. Mask. Mandatory. You order inside and you choose where you want to seat. Full patio so we ended up in the cutest inside area. The middle of the room is open with tables pushed to both sides allowing the space to look open and safe. It was easy to order and the menu is pretty straightforward with the specials on the wall outside and inside. Don't miss checking them out! The food. Very tasty. My regular Burger66 was moist and oh so tasty. With a aide of salty crunchy fries. I was happy. I tried the other food that my group ordered and all of them were so good! Very limited parking in front. Popular destination in town. Stop by! You won't regret you did!

I wish I had read recommendations first. The burger and fries are very mediocre. I'll come back but will try something different next time!

They have a gift shop area & a candle making area that you could watch while eating or get a cart and go shopping in it! I got the breakfast sandwich that tasted so good with their soft bread & great flavors coming from the pesto aioli sauce, bacon, and avocado. For a drink I had a lavender latte that hit the spot I should have asked for extra lavender but it was still delicious & drank every last bit of it! I did give one of the baristas props because she was the only girl wearing her hair up and we love a queen that works around drinks and food to have their hair out of the way! I definitely will be back in the future to bring other family and friends here!

My wife had the grain bowl couldn't go near her for 2 days the pesto had so much garlic. I had a grilled cheese, maybe I'm just a plain grilled cheese guy, the bread was awesome but the cheese and spread was just ok. Drinks were really good I love a small place that uses the right cherry!!

I came into Kate's Place looking for breakfast. As I was about to spend the entire day skiing, I…read morewas hoping for a very hearty meal, and the chorizo burrito seemed to fit the bill. Unfortunately, the burrito fell short of my expectations. Despite paying an egg surcharge, there was hardly any eggs in my burrito. Not only did this subtract from the nutritional value of my meal, but it also meant there was nothing to counter-balance the flavors of the burrito. Beyond the disappointing burrito, though, the grits were actually quite good.

Menu was not too big nor too small and we were able to quickly order with the staff who were quick with service! Mom and I both got the Corned Beef Hash and I got a cup of their soup of the day : Loaded Potato. FOOD The Corned beef hash were not like what I had before and looked pretty different (This is basically my go to breakfast dish at any place hehe) It was very hearty and had nice actual chunks of beef and potatos. The dish were not greasy at all. Not to mention the eggs were cooked perfectly to my liking "over easy" and the toasts were so delicious. Nicely buttered and were also to my liking in terms of how toasty/buttery it was!! Mom had a hard scrambled egg which were seasoned to perfection as well with white toast which were golden brown!! But the real star of the show was the their soup of the day! My looorrrr where do I even begin. Lets just say this soup better become their soup of the century. Chefs did an amazing job and this soup was really delicious and totally my type hehe. If you ever stop by and this is their soup of the day, def order it!!! Small place with the two nice ladies who served/hosted us, but were fast and friendly as the place started picking up more customers. And good cooks who serve you hearty and delicious meals. Almost felt like I was eating breakfast at a nice aunties place. Atmosphere felt very homey with colorful, but not overwhelming decorations and everything you would need at your table for functionality. FIVE STARS + WILL BE COMING BACK IF EVER BACK IN TOWN

This is about as good as it gets in Gunnison, and that's saying quite a bit because there are…read moreseveral very nice restaurants here. The wine list is very nice, and you won't break the bank -- especially at happy hour, with two dollars off each glass of wine between 5 and 7 PM. We had the House Malbec, from Mendoza, Argentina, and it had a delicious flavor and aroma. It was a full bodied and smooth, dark red offering. For an appetizer, we had the Shishati grilled peppers with pesto/cilantro sauce, and they were just fantastic. They are mild, nicely grilled, and beautifully presented. It is served as an appetizer, but please be warned, one out of every nine peppers is exceedingly hot. We had about 12 peppers, and all of them were mild, so we beat the odds! I've had hamburgers all over the world, and I can honestly say I have not had a better cheeseburger than I got right here from the menu at Blackstock. It's in a traditional bun, lightly toasted, with tempura, onion, cracked pepper, mayo, Tabasco, candied and smoked bacon, and it is served with Hand-cut fries. You can add guacamole for a dollar, or blue cheese or Gruyere cheese for another dollar. But I did not add a thing; it was perfect as it came out of the kitchen for me! You will be asked how you want your hamburger cooked, and I chose medium. It could not have been better! It's on the menu at a very fair $21 including your hand-cut fries. My lovely dinner-date had the petite filet mignon, a 5-ounce offering of spectacular steak, served with goat cheese, potato croquettes, asparagus, stewed shallots, served with a Cabernet Demi glaze at $45. It was a large serving, I believe bigger than 5 ounces, because we are taking half of it home in a to-go box! Again, the food was spectacular... really good. We will finish with the flourless chocolate torte, serve with whipped cream and Amarina dark cherries at $11. If I was a betting man, I'd say you're gonna love this place! Take a few pictures, do what I did, and leave a review, because more people need to know the quality of food coming out of this little storefront on a busy street in Gunnison! And if you ask for Danielle, be advised, he's a great server and you will get exactly what you need! He's very attentive, and charming.

More recently, we sat at the bar last week to enjoy both happy hour, and the ramen menu. The bartender was great, and checked in with us regularly. We started with a small plate of the bistro fries - which comes covered in Truffle Oil, Herbs de Provence, and Parmesan Cheese - they're super good, and would say better than a certain CB restaurant's crack fries. The small order was plenty for the three of us to share. For drinks, we started with wine, beer, and I had a mojito. The mojito wasn't my favorite - for some reason, it was really sweet. Second drink was a glass of Sauvignon blanc, which went well with the ramen. On to the ramen - I went with the Boo-Tan-E-Koo Pork broth, traditional wavy noodles, pork belly, poached egg, tempura, green onion, buttered sweet corn, chile thread, fresh ginger, sesame seeds. It was delicious, flavorful, and I couldn't get through the whole bowl (I took about half of it home). That was my first time taking ramen home, and would note it heated up nicely for lunch the next day. We will absolutely be back to try more of the menu!
