In April 2022, I bought my partner a gift certificate thinking it would make for a cute date night before our baby arrived. We booked a night and had an early dinner since the event is 2hrs long. We get there and the host says that there is a private party. Huh? I show her the event on my phone and she says she knows nothing about it and it was most likely canceled. News to me as I never got a call and/or an email. Their website nor their social also never mentioned this. She said to contact the owner. So we leave a voicemail and an email. The owner gets back to me and apologized profusely and tells me that since I was having the baby in like a month that she'd honor the gift certificate (expires end of 2022) into next year as well. Great! Fast forward and I have the baby. As expected, a date night ain't happening with a newborn. But now that my son is a bit older, I can hire a sitter. I ask the owner if she can extend the gift certificate like she had promised. She emails me back a spiel about how she's also a mother and understands my dilemma but as a small business owner she is putting her foot down and no she will not extend. I remind her that hello, she herself promised me that she would extend it into 2023. Haven't heard from her since. At this point I'm like fine whatever. Let's just use this gift certificate. I book a babysitter and a paint night event even though it's not a painting that I event remotely like but listen, I need to get out of the house and by golly I will have a date night. Like Groundhogs Day, we have an early dinner and show up for the evens. Oh guess what, it's CLOSED. Oh guess what, I never got an email or call to tel me that the event was cancelled. ‍ So many wrongs on so many levels. Don't pull the 'I'm a small business' guilt trip on me. ANY business no matter the size would treat their customers with some sort of respect. Regardless of extending the gift certificate, (which you know, be a woman of your word lady!) cancelling twice and not even telling those that booked the event... that's bad service period. I really wanted to like this place and had visions of taking my son here when he's a bit older. It's just a shame that I tried twice to no avail and the owner just outright ghosted me. read more

Took three 6 year old girls here on a Saturday morning, we stood outside for 30 minutes because the confirmation email said to arrive 15 minutes before the painting session so we did and then the owner/instructor were 15 minutes late. You can imagine how difficult it was to keep 3 little girls in order while standing on a busy street in the middle of Beacon. Once the class started it was cute but seemed very rushed and the teacher did not seem very enthusiastic so it was a bit off putting. Beware, DO NOT GO HERE!! ZERO STARS I purchased two tickets for a class in which was cancelled the night before.. ok, no problem, they gave me a credit to use towards a future class because they don't issue refunds! I found another class I can make and sign up for that one.. the night before I receive an email that this class is also cancelled.. that is 2 times now!!! Due to my schedule, I'm not able find another one that works for me so I request a refund.. It's only fair since they canceled on me TWICE and I tried using their credit. Right?! After going back n forth with shop manager, I demand to speak with owner. The owner emails me stating they do not issue refunds and will NOT come to a resolution with me, also stating she's a mom n pop shop. Mom and Pop shops would never do this to their customers!!! I can see why they don't have enough people to hold a class, I wonder how many others they have ripped off.. Shame on them!! DO NOT GO HERE, SPREAD THE WORD. I highly recommend this studio! I took my son to the let's get moving & paint class and we had a wonderful time. Janelle did an awesome job with the class and was very accommodating. The unstructured environment is perfect for my little 2 year old ball of energy. It was reasonably priced too. We will definitely be back! read more

If I could I would give this business NO STARS. It does not surprise me that they do not have yelp account. After my experience, I am sure I am not the only one that has been ROBBED by the company. Back in February, I purchased a class from the Eat Paint Love website. This company advertises that they give painting classes. The class I purchased was a Valentine's day special of wine, appetizers and painting in their Beacon location. Unfortunately there was a terrible snow storm the day prior. Being that my boyfriend plows snow for a living, we were unable to make the Valentines Day special that I had originally purchase. I contacted the email address provided from my receipt. When I explained the situation and requested a refund, the email contact responded saying that the company "does not do" refunds and that I would be forced to schedule another class within a months time. I though my reasoning was valid, and I could not make any of the classes available in the upcoming future, so again I requested a refund. The contact responded no to the refund, so I made a claim with my bank to stop payment. The bank sided with the company because she alerted me via email that she does not do refunds (after the purchase). I closed all accounts with the bank for using e-mails as a valid proof of a company's policy, but did take their advise on contacting the business for a second time to see if they would help since I was not provided a service. I reached out to the company again to request a refund, explaining that I am having difficulties with the bank. The contact Megan expressed that if the bank is correct she will not be offering me a refund or a different class. This company is rarely heard on the internet. Please go else where for painting classes. There is no alert of the no refund policy and Megan or whoever is in charge does not care about doing the right thing towards customers. Since this event, I have done by best to spread the word about a business that robs people without providing any services. BEWARE. The website does not provide an address or contact person. You are only able to contact the email address. And if this Megan person or anybody thought I would want to go take a relaxing painting class after this mess, they are out of their mind. PS: They have two locations. One in Beacon and one in Wappingers. I know they also host classes at local winerys as well. read more

Not sure why the previous reviewer was so upset. There is a no refund policy listed clearly on the website. I was unable to make a night planned and Megan, the owner, extended my re-take of the class to another evening, because I asked NICELY. If there is a no refund policy, then what did that person expect? She closed her bank accounts? Now that's going a little crazy over a painting class. Have attended many, and never experienced ANY issues, even with rescheduling in case of weather or illness. I enjoy the classes, staff and choice of paintings. read more

I have had an extremely positive experience with the Eat Paint Love Studio. They have hosted two different painting fundraisers at our location, a great time was had by all at each event. The pricing, our instructor, and our paintings were all excellent! We had so much fun!!! I was amused by Niggynoox...'s poor review. Perhaps she should brush up on her reading comprehensions skills before posting such a poor review and stating she was "ROBBED". The the website is very easy to navigate. There is a box you must "check" when you sign up for any class online. The box clearly states "I agree and understand there are no refunds". They offered her the chance to take a replacement class and she went so far as to close all her bank accounts?!?.....sounds like she has a little too much time on her hands...... If you haven't tried a "Paint Night" event yet, you're missing out! read more

I wish I could say anything nice but sadly I cannot. I went here with my friend thinking it would be a cute fun idea to do with her. We were suppose to be building gingerbread houses but instead we got ginger "tee pees" with decorations straight from the box not one thing fun about it. Beyond that the girl running the event was definitely drunk and said various times that she "hated little girls" and cursed way more than a professional running an event should. I felt like I got robbed. It was strange walking into an event with no place to sit and being stuck at "not the big girl table" it was just a waste of time and money. read more
