One of the staff let me in because my grandson was sick and I had to go pick him up, that is when I walk into the classroom and seen my grandson was laying down, and I noticed the children seemed bored, and the staff sitting around just watching the kids, so sad, we have pictures the teachers sent my daughter to prove it. My grandchild looked so sad and bored. I guess that's one of the reason's why they don't let parents in to pick up the children. A few days after that my grandchild didn't want to go to daycare anymore, his excitement to go has dimmed. One evening my grandchild told my daughter and me that his teacher grabbed his arm really hard. At that point, with all that is going on in daycares, we decided to pull my grandchild out for safety reasons. Lastly, I've been told that it's been difficult to get in contact with the owner. Even my grandson's speech therapist said it was hard to get in contact with her. I was told she has other daycare sites. I hope that the owner becomes more involved with her staff and find ways that will nip this before things get worst at this daycare. My daughter and I are happy that my grandson is not going back.

This is not a place that takes child care seriously. Empathy: I asked through email to schedule a call to meet the teachers and it went five days without a response. When I asked the director (Mary) about why I hadn't heard back from her she immediately got defensive and just talked about how busy she was. I just wanted to work together with the school to know who the teachers of my children were and how I can work together with them for the development of my children. Value: I think that this location is mostly used out of location convenience. I think if there were another child care option in town Honey Bee would either lose business or have to adapt and improve their quality here. Unfortunately they don't have to because of the child care need right now. For context, the mother of my children ran away to dad's in Poughkeepsie with the children and now they are legally residents and have to choose from the day care options there. I would not choose Honey Bee. I would choose Vassar College's day care program over them.

There is a separate room for Infant, Toddler I, toddler II, and upstairs is more of the actual teaching of the preschool age. I love the infant room teachers. My daughter does not like alot of people, but is so happy when we get to daycare. The infant room has cribs for each infant, not sharing one. Plenty of highchairs, a separate room for diaper changes and a cubby for each child's diapers and clothes. Kathy and Gloria are the current infant room teachers and Barbara in the afternoon and they are just wonderful with the kids. It is priced at about $630 a month for 3 days. I do not know how much it is for full time, but you can guestimate. They have their pay schedule set up to be due in full in the beginning of each month, not paying at the end of each week.

I was informed that I would not under any circumstances be allowed through their doors: "We would show him around but you can't go in with him." This is not recommended behavior by any child care policy setting body in the US. It's sickening to think that this business actually thinks this is an acceptable way to introduce toddlers to day care. It's actually alarming and disgusting.
