Absolutely the worst airline ever! Yeah, they're cheap but they make up for that with sky high bag fees, filthy insect ridden cabins and rude staff. They make a mistake with our luggage and charged us extra for their mistake. I pointed this out several times but no budging with them. All I wanted was for them to credit back the overage costs, but they don't care. What a shame. I had a great time in England and I think the English people are the best, but this rinky dink little cheap airline really really stinks! read more

I had pretty low expectations for easyJet but was pleasantly surprised my first time flying with them. When I boarded the plane, I was greeted by smiles from the crew. Then they announced our flight from Berlin to Copenhagen would be arriving 20 minutes earlier than scheduled which is always a plus. The only odd thing is one of the attendants asked me to lift up the window shade right before we landed; she was very apologetic though because I had closed my eyes and she thought she was waking me. Someone mentioned some airlines do that for safety reasons, but it was the first time a flight attendant had asked me to do that. And we didn't have to wait at all for our baggage. It was already on the carousel by the time we reached baggage claim though we practically walked from one end of the airport to the opposite end in order to reach our carousel so that might explain why. read more

I useually travell with easy jet when i am goin away on hollyday as i dont mind the no frills idea as it makes the costs lower. i dont realy like flying as my ears bother me alot but my experiences on easy jet have been plesent. The online mag is good as it offers a range of duty free and also a variety of snaks. The cabin crew are always realy freindly and helpfull and try there hardess to solve any problems that happen on board. I would recomend cheeking in early as it means you get to board the plain erlia, giving you a better chance of being able to sit next to who ever you are traverling with. i found the seet comfy to sit on and its always worth buying the blanket anfd pillow set as it makes it evan more comfy. Overall all of my experiences with easy jet have been plesent i would recomend them to any one that want to get a cheep fyt and does not bind having no fills when they are flying. read more

The worst customer service of any airline I've ever used. I initially made a mistake booking my flight on the wrong date. When I found this out I called to cancel the flight and rescheduled my flight for the 7th instead of the 4th. When I showed up at the airport on the 7th I discovered the agent had cancelled that day's flight instead of the one I wanted cancelled. The agents at the airport refused to help me and made me call the online company which charged me $22 of international phone charges. They got me rebooked but I had to pay for a THIRD flight! They said there would be an inquiry into the cancelation, but a month later I have yet to hear anything from them even after repeatedly trying to contact customer service. I will never take easyJet ever again and I highly recommend you don't either. Flights go wrong all the time and if there is poor customer service it becomes a nightmare. Don't take a chance getting caught up in easyJet's awful customer service and terrible company. read more

Terrible company. You are much better off paying more and fly with a reputable company. Our flight from Paris to Nice was cancelled, as they claimed due to an air traffic controller strike in Marseilles. Funny enough most flights to Nice were not cancelled on that day. We tried to rebook with them, but the wait was more than 40 minutes on the phone at 5 cents a minute and we rebooked and went by train. EasyJet refused to refund our tickets as they claimed it was beyond their control that they had to cancel. However a friend of ours on the same flight who booked directly with them received a refund. We booked over Expedia. Why do some customers receive a refund and some don't? It was exactly the same flight. This makes no sense at all. we also paid for seats and extra luggage. Again: no refund at all. Please avoid the loss of money, time and nerves and book with a company that deserves your trust. EasyJet does not! read more

Avoid this Airline at all costs! Wish I could select a minus five rating. We arrived early for our flight but we were told to wait. So we waited, they did not say anything about minimum baggage drop. We waited, got in line and when we put our bags on the scale, we were told we were 7 minutes late, plane was scheduled to leave about 40 minutes later. They told us we missed the bag drop time and consequently missed our flight. They would not allow us to fly and send the bags on the next flight. To add insult to injury we were charged an additional 110 euros per person for the next flight. In the us, there is no extra charge, you just wait till the next flight. This airline has very poor customer service and you should not be lured by their low prices because you end up paying much more if you make a small mistake. read more

Would strongly advise another airline. I had a booked a flight from Amsterdam back to London, and day of departure, happened to check my email to see that flight was cancelled. Never received a text alert or anything else, just lucky to check my email in the AM otherwise would have shown up to airport with no flight. And no reason given for the cancellation. Then the fun begin. No other flights offered, no help to get back to London. Had to spend a couple hours trying to figure out a way back and ended up taking a 6 hour train ride instead of a 1 hour flight. Wasn't able to make it to my hotel in Oxford, and due to the late cancellation, lost the money I spent on the hotel. Best part was that Easyjet only refunded me €95 out of the €250 I spend on the ticket. Can't figure that one out and am trying to get an answer from them. So I'm now out cost of hotel, cost of plane ticket, cost of train trip, and a whole day lost on my vacation. Googled to see why cancellation and found a few articles about Easyjet that shows they cancel a lot [https://www.insider.co.uk/news/easyjet-cancels-1200-flights-june-12856114]. So, yes they are a cheaper alternative if they actually fly, but most likely you will end up stuck and out of pocket with a great deal of headache and frustration. read more

Lest month I travelled to Bordeaux and on my flight back, apart from my flight being delayed almost 3 hours and I had to miss 1/2 day of work, my biggest dissapointment was the fact that Easyjet STOLE me GBP5.00! I ordered a sandwich ()so hungry after such a long delay!) and the staff didn't have enough chage, so I was told they would give me GBP5.00 back later on. No one came back to me, so after a while I reminded them about my 5 GBP, which they still didn't have. We ended up landing, and before leaving the plane, I asked them again for my money and their reply was (this was from the Senior Cabin Crew one!): Sorry now it's too late. We have closed the bag where the money is and we are unable to give you any cash back. Now You will learn for your next Easy jet flight that you have to make sure any moeny is given back to you before the landing! ---- I was really shocked with the lack of customer service, the rudeness and specially that they kept GBP5.00 of mine!!! I know it's just GBP5.00, but it's question of principles! I complaint throught customer service department, and they didn't do much, just apologies for the cabin crew's behaviour and they assure that wouldn't happen again (how can they be that sure that won't happen again? And what about my money????) After insisting they agreed to offer me a discount of GBP10 when booking my next flight ON THE PHONE. I needed to buy another flight for January, checked the times and prices online and called them to book my flight. GUESS WHAT??? When booking on the phone, flights are about GBP30.00 more expensive!!!! So what is the deal???? You pay GBP30.00 more (plus the cost of the expensive especial phone number!) and we give you a discount of GBP10.00, so we steal you now GBP20.00??? I contacted them again to try to find a solution, but they don't care AT ALL. They prefer to lose a loyal customer (I book around 12 flights per year with easy jet) that to refund me some money to my credit card or to offer me a REAL DISCOUNT. So yes... after this big dissapointment I have swear I will not put a foot again on an easyjet plane, and so will do my family and friends. This will not finish here. Don't bother book a flight with Easyjet just to save some money, because really, you pay double.... You have to pay everything even for the seats!!! I checked in an extra luggage and when i got in the airport I had to pay extra for the weight inside the luggage. Really it's stupid. When you check in for an extra luggage in easyjet you have to pay extra for the weight in the luggage ,so you pay 30£ and then 11£for every kilo you put in your suitcase. Easy jet are a great airline, much better than the likes of Ryanair. Its budget so you do really get what you pay for. No in flight entertainment, limited selection of food and drink. Would never use EasyJet again. Flew from Berlin to Amsterdam. Lots of people crammed into small spaces. Be aware that you can only take ONE item to carry-on...you cannot take carry-on luggage and a purse or backpack. One item only. So we ended up paying mega-Euros to check a bag for each person. The website does not make this clear at all or we would have included the baggage fee when making our reservation. At the airport the baggage fee is much higher than if you do it online. Just found out (during check in at the airport) that even though I naively bought an extra suitcase for EUR 34, I still can only take 20kg.... so why buy an extra bag??? End up having to pay more EUR 42 for 3kg extra weight (glad that I did not pack that much even though I bought the second bag!)... I NEVER FELT SO CHEATED AS A CUSTOMER! Since I've forgot my passport at home I went to Easy-jet check-in desk with my Swedish National ID card. I'd like to state that I have had many international flights with my Swedish ID card 'only' i.e. no passports were needed for the reasons I do not plan bring up in this mail. My check-in was granted by your check-in personnel and I was advised to proceed to the gate with my Swedish ID. However, at the time of boarding I was denied to board the plane by your flight crew due to absence of my passport. According to your flight crew Easy-jet does not let passengers without a valid passport to board their planes. Later, I was directed to a supervisor in charge to be informed about the mundane procedures for denied passengers. I would like to keep this mail straightforward and concise. I believe your vital mistake to let me check in with my Swedish ID card played a major role in the incident. As I live very close to the central station I could have my passport brought if I wasn't let through at the time of check-in since I had plenty of time to have my passport available. I was later given an apology and offered and free-ticket by your supervisor but since your next flight was on Sunday I could not take it. The next flight to Geneva on the same day was available with Swissair which cost me 4080 SEK. I would like you to compensate me for my flight expenses and I am not even going to mentioned the additional costs (a journey that expended through the whole day, food and beverage, and a taxi ride since there were no busses after my landing time in the 'midnight') that I had due to this mistake. I can't help but wonder how easyjet get away with their 'speedy boarding'. I have watched, several times, the staff call forward the 'speedy boarders' who then go and sit on a bus and wait for the rest of us to join them. We all then take the ride to the plane where we all pile off and board either at the rear or front. No speedy boarders are given priority boarding there which is surely where speedy boarding is meant to be??!! Can anyone work out the logic of this? read more

Flew from Pisa To Gatwick. There was a huge queue at the boarding gate we were supposed to board, so we put ourselves in the queue. We waited for 20-30 mins and, as the queue was not moving, we went to ask the staff at the gate what is happening. They informed us we were cancelled from the flight, as we did not respond to the last call. There was still a huge queue at the gate we were supposed to be boarded from, but apparently it was for another flight. The ground staff did not try to keep the area before the gate clear, so we actually waited in the wrong queue. We did not hear our names called at the gate, nor the strident message announcing a last call for the gate. The staff at the gate were very rude: I asked them what should we do now and the staff's reply was 'YOU WERE CANCELLED FROM THE FLIGHT!'. I did understand that, but I wanted to know where we should go to rebook our flight. Eventually we got to a customer service desk and paid the 100 EUR fee each for missed flight. When asking EasyJet to refund the money, as it was their operational mistake causing us to miss the flight, we were told there was a last call at the gate we did not respond to, so there will be no refund. We used to fly a lot with EasyJet, about 3-4 times a year. We experienced a lot of delays, therefore we were not surprised by the queue at the boarding gate. Every time we tried to interact with a ground staff for information about the cause of delay or, in this case, for the cancellation, we were met with the same rude, defensive attitude and language. Moreover, it seems their policy is that you, as a customer, have to pay with either your time or money for their operational failures. I did submit years ago a review to them about their ground staff behavior, but they did not change a thing. As their expensive fees do not translate into proper customer service, we decided not to fly with them in the future. read more

I changed my return with EasyJet call center, and the agent changed my return to another outbound flight, despite it being obvious I had arrived at my destination. I was told I would have to pay to correct this mistake (very expensive), or be left stranded with no return flight. So far no meaningful reply to my complaint. My daughter and I were denied boarding on our 8am flight because the airport agent said we were 2 minutes late, when the entire time we were standing in line waiting for someone to show up at the counter. We then were told the agent was at another counter chit-chatting. The agent was extremely rude and since we were denied boarding even though the flight was not leaving for another 38 minutes and to get to the flight takes about 5 minutes (the airport is extremely small), I was told I had to purchase 2 new tickets for the 7pm flight, it obvious that I wouldn't spend not one more penny n EasyJet therefore I went and paid for 2 new tickets on British Airways and left at 10am. I have emailed back and forth with the main office and they are refusing to refund the money. This is the worst airline by far that I have encounter in my life. My husband and I travel very often. Just this year we have been to Europe 3 times (taken multiple flights within Europe), we've travelled to Canada, and within the states. Aside from this, I also own a travel agency, so I work with many airfare providers and airlines. With that being said I will no longer be booking clients with or using EasyJet in the future. Last year my husband and I invested in some heavy duty expensive luggage (fits so much, has tracking, etc), since then we have travelled extensively, and never had a problem. But one flight with EasyJet completely ruined our bags. I don't even understand what this company could have possible done to return them to us in such bad shape. I am so incredibly pissed at EasyJet. They also didn't even provide water for free on the flight (2 euros for a bottle!). And they charge extra fees wherever they can - I hate airlines that do this! When we got there to check-in they wouldn't let us take our bags onboard (even though we commonly take our bags with us), then charged us 50 euros per piece, then completely ruined our bags to top it off. read more

In 7 years of international travel (about 4 months/year) on 12+ airlines with the identical luggage we had yesterday, EasyJet was the first airline to decline our backpacks as personal items to fit under the seat in front. The gate agent at London Sansted informed that we would have to consolidate them into our full rollerbags (we are in the midst of a 3 week trip through Europe). This was impossible. We were then informed that our bags would need to be checked at a cost of £45 per bag (about $73 USD - our entire tickets were $100 USD - we could have bought the rollerbags an empty seat for less money). After making us wait until everyone else had boarded the flight and then ticketing our bags, the gate agents didn't seem to be able to figure out how to charge us for this and just told us to give our bags to the handler at the bottom of the airplane steps and get on the plane as we were holding up the flight. We felt manipulated, disrespected, and humiliated by this experience and will not use this airline again. It's a great bargain as long as you travel naked! read more

The policy of one carry-on bag only, no purse or shoulder bag, is uniquely awful. Women's wallets do not necessarily fit easily in a pocket, so I was juggling wallet and passport with nowhere to stash them (picture the trip to a toilet). Passengers carried their luggage across the tarmac (in the rain) and up stairs to board. We were crammed in, no leg room, very uncomfortable -- impossible, I imagine, for the very tall. There is almost zero onboard service. And this is the first time I have ever on an airline seen a price tag on water! That was the end for me. I thought this would be comparable to the short-hop flights we take on Porter Airlines (e.g. Toronto-Newark) but there is no comparison at all in terms of service or comfort. I see how this might work for people travelling with next to no luggage, especially men, whose clothes tend to have a more generous pocket capacity. But I will pay more to find a better alternative next time. read more

easyJet does exactly what it says on the tin. It's a low cost airline that doesn't charge you for things you dont need. On a short haul flight, free food and drink isn't needed. The average flight duration is around 1.45 so it's not difficult to make sure you've eaten before stepping on the aircraft. Unlike Ryanair, easyJet actually fly to international airports so you don't waste ridiculous amounts of money on transport into the centre. I have flown with easyJet at least 20 times and have never experienced any problems. Top tip - if you live in London do try and pick a flight from Luton. Luton Airport is more accessible than you might think. Only 30 minutes from St Pancras station, cheaper than Gatwick and Heathrow Express and more importantly a very 'quick thru' airport. Unlike other airports, you don't have to walk three miles just to get your baggage and once collected, you and your baggage can be on the train within 15 minutes. read more

I was not allowed to board my flight because my passport was to expire in two months. I wanted to rebook my round-trip ticket (returning in 8 days). I asked to speak to an agent. I was told that in the entire Gatwick there was not a single Easyjet agent. I came home and called to 4 different Easyjet phone numbers--between 20 and 30 times. Each time, even before the call rang, Easyjet's customer service numbers dropped my calls. Since customer service was non-existent, I took a train and went out to the Luton Airport where Easyjet's corporate office is located. After waiting awhile, I was finally able to talk to a person. I asked to re-book the flight. She kept referencing their Terms and Conditions. She didn't let me rebook or get credit for any portion of the ticket (the return ticket was sill viable). 1) Easyjet misled me that there are no agents at Gatwick. They lacked sincerity, professionalism, and integrity. They flat out lied! 2) Their customer service phones are useless. Is that deliberate? Especially, an airline such as Easyjet that causes plenty amount of complaints should have their lines of communication readily available. 3) Any other airline, based on my ample experience of international travels, would have re-booked my flights, especially when the return trip had not even happened. Initially, passengers like myself might have been lured to Easyjet because it is supposed to be a cheap airline. Beware! It winds up costing far more than a decent airline. With Easyjet, you won't get human interaction or understanding. The company shields behind Terms and Conditions. Easyjet doesn't care about continuing the relationship with customers. We have never flown with Easy Jet before, and on the 3/05/16 we flew with them to Cyprus. I was surprised how much leg room we had on the plane,having only flown with Thomas Cool or Thompson in the past, with Easy Jet, l felt less like a sardine. On our return journey we unfortunately were very apprehensive as my husband aged 81 had broken his ankle. He was dreading the trip home as l once injured myself in Egypt, and when boarding a Thomas Cook flight, leg all bandaged up and unable to bend properly, l was told to sit down, or get off the plane. So we were a little worried about this return journey home, Well what a surprise, we were helped every step of the way by staff at Larnaca airport, who did it with a smile on their faces, and the boarding of the plane was made as easy as possible.We were greeted by smiley cabin crew and had a pleasant journey home. An apology was given to us for not being able to give us a different seat, but it made no difference to our comfort. The smallest of problems....the seats are a little hard on your bottom after a short while, not enough padding, but the leg room was great in comparison to other air lines. I am extremely frustrated with easyJet after our flight from Paris to Nice. Not only was this an expensive flight for a short trip in Europe but the attendants at the gate were very rude. The website says that you have to pay 60€ for an extra bag (in a subtle way), so you must know that going into it. Unfortunately, we did not know this policy until we get to the gate and they aggressively asked for our money. After traveling throughout Europe for some time, we have never had any problem with our baggage. Most airlines have allowed one small bag and one overhead bag, so while we still have all of that luggage, we have to pay for what they already have space for on their flight. Furthermore, once we had boarded the flight, we noticed ample space in all of the overhead luggage compartments for the bags while they had specifically said at the gate that due to the full flight, they could not fit our baggage. They charge you for all food and beverages as well. The policies this airline holds are frankly absurd as they try to rip you off. Definitely not worth what you pay for. They advertise themselves as a cheap airlines while instead you will probably have to pay the price of a much nicer flight. However, they do leave on time and their boarding process goes quickly. read more

My husband, son and I were booked on a flight from Hamburg to Venice. Boarding time was 1:10 p.m. for a 1:40 p.m flight. and we checked in online. The train to Hamburg airport was delayed and so we arrived at 1 p.m., looked frantically for someone to get us to the gate. No one was at the Easy Jet check-in desk. It was completely deserted. Perhaps they had changed uniforms and were now pilots and flight attendants. Someone at the airport customer service desk checked and said the plane was still at the gate, but that she was not authorized to bring us through. Our other option was to purchase three Easy Jet tickets at full cost for the next flight in two days. We ended up spending 600 euros on a German Wings flight that left the next morning and another 190 euros on a hotel room near the airport because everything else was full. So our "budget" Easy Jet flight cost us close to 800 euros. I emailed their customer service reps and they offered to reimburse us 22 euros for the inconvenience. What a nightmare. I was flying with EJ several times and the flight I had yesterday was the most terrible flight in my life!!! I was flying back to Amsterdam from Prague. When I was l flying from Amsterdam to Prague with my sister we had two RIGHT sized hand luggage bags, they were checked by EJ team and we took them on board without any problems. On the flight back to Amsterdam from Prague we were flying with absolutely the same bags!!! And EJ lady told us that our two bags are over sized!!! Please tell me how it is possible to fly with the same company with the same bags and one way it is ok size and the other way it is oversized??? We flew with the EJ there was ok and we flew back it was oversized??? I kindly explained our situation to the lady that we had the same bags and it was correct size and etc. And that lady was VERY VERY rude to us!!! She insulted us, it is unacceptable to treat your customers like this!!! She told us very rude to pay, to leave our luggage or just miss the flight!!! She mentioned that we have no choice! It is terrible service!! I had so much stress I never had before! She forced us to pay 100 EUR for two bags which we took before with us without any problems and extra payments on board on the flight to Prague. I want my money back!!! DO NOT FLY WITH EASYJET. Before I booked this last flight, I had flown with easyjet and hated the experience. Cramped seats and nickle and diming for everything. (I put an abbreviated version of a name accidentally on a ticket, and they wanted to charge €65 each way, for a simple name change). But I decided I didn't care about the leg room because it was going to be such a short flight. I arrive at the airport, and the board of departures shows the flight is in check-in and the gate will be determined. 20 minutes before the take off time, passengers receive a text saying flight is canceled until next day. Obviously you can imagine the troubles this would bring, and I can only help easyjet will redeem itself slightly by refunding my entire flight, and paying for the new train tickets I'll have to buy. Point is, I'm never flying with them again. Pay the extra money for a better airline. I promise it'll be worth it. read more

Easy Jet is the worst! They left 12 people sitting at the gate and would not allow us to board the plane. They said we did not arrive in time. (I arrive at the airport 2.5 hours before the flight, 2 people working passport check). The plane sat at the gate another 30 minutes while they explained that the pilot refused to open the door, but yet they had plenty of time to locate and remove the luggage for 12 people (which we paid extra for). People waiting at the neighboring gate were screaming at the Easy jet staff, telling them how crappy they are to leave so many people behind (12) including 3 children and one infant, The Mom of the infant was crying, she was expecting to be home in 2 hours instead she was stuck in the Munich airport with no food for her baby. The gate rep said she'd escort us to customer service for assistance. The "assistance" was "you can buy another easyjet ticket!!!". All 12 said FU and went with Luftansa which is what I wish I had done to start with. Don't buy EasyJet, pay a little extra and go with another airline. read more

having looked at all the reviews over the years, and flown with this airline twice before i thought that the bad reviews were mainly customer error blaming the airline. i can now add my 2 pence worth as to how bad this airline is. booked online for myself and my partner for a short flight to visit relatives, unfortunately my partner could not make the flight so 2 days before i wanted to change the ticket to my sister. £35.00 each way as a charge (ok i can totally understand this) BUT also and additional £70.00 as a so called fair difference SO £70 name change plus another £70 for fun...... i will never fly with this company again, please do not think that they have good deals as once they have you you are treated like a cash machine. too little too late but after i had paid the additional name change and fun money i found another airline who for a BRAND new booking could get my sister there for £150.00 OUCH read more
