Castle still has not replaced the butyl rubber seal failing in the windows under their "lifetime…read morewarranty" and in fact demanded a positive review in order to replace SOME of the window panes/seals. They twisted my arm when I called for the warranty work by saying that they sold their liabilities and are no longer the same company but they'll do the replacements for a good review... over a year later after posting the "good" review, the warranty work hasn't been done and they are ghosting my contact requests now. They did come out to measure the replacements, messed up the measurements the first time, had to come out again and remeasure, forgot to measure pane thickness and had to come out a third time and measure again. Sent a 3rd party contractor out to replace window panes and discovered that their measurements were wrong. Still waiting on replacement panes/butyl and windows are still leaking air. Buyer beware.

My first judgement on a company is do they have a website & how easy is it to use. My 2nd judgement is the first interaction with a person and my 3rd is: does what the website say match what the people are giving me. Yes Yes Yes for HomeRite! I still can't get over that it was one guy (Rj) who completed install of 5 windows in 2 days! I'm a super perfectionist so the first thing I looked at was the caulking lines. Smooth & near perfect - be fair.. no one is perfect! We had constant communication with the HomeRite team including Brittani & Jason. They double checked their measurements before install. We had a call on the first day of install asking how it was going. I really felt like we were their only customers. No one gives one on one attention like that anymore! Second day RJ called to let us know he was running behind. He said he expected to be here by 930am and was several minutes earlier than that. We never got a response, then I happened to run into the salesman from Garrety that sold us the sunroom and I expressed our disappointment. He was helpful and the next day we received a call from Garrety to schedule a time to come out and repair the leak. The repair man came out twice as it continued to leak after his first visit. Well, it's still leaking and we are concerned about the structural integrity of the roof and ceiling if the room continues to leak. For a project that cost almost $100,000, we really believe Garrety should do a better job standing behind their work.

Called Aspen for an estimate for new gutters on a 1000 sq ft ranch home. They came out and right…read moreout of the gate it was a pushy sales meeting. I had to sit through a bunch of meaningless videos and at the end was hit with a $6700.00, yes you read that correctly, quote. I immediately laughed and told the salesperson I had other estimates which were NO WHERE NEAR theirs. He told me I get free tea and biscuits because the owner is from England, big whoop. He then proceeded to call his "boss" which was the owner of the company. The owner said they can cut 10% off. I laughed again and politely asked him to leave. What a dishonest company. I have no idea how they have any rating above a one. I received an estimate from Family Roofing of PA (717) 929-0385 for $1700.00 for the same exact seamless gutter replacement with the same warranty. I am truly insulted and offended that a company operates in this capacity. Absolutely shady pricing practices. First impressions mean everything and they blew it. I will continue to spread the word among family and friends to stay away from this company. I have no affiliation with Family Roofing of PA, but the representative Grant was very honest and straight forward which I value in a company. Please get several estimates for your project and you will see exactly what I mean if you do happen to get an estimate from this company.
