My first judgement on a company is do they have a website & how easy is it to use. My 2nd judgement is the first interaction with a person and my 3rd is: does what the website say match what the people are giving me. Yes Yes Yes for HomeRite! I still can't get over that it was one guy (Rj) who completed install of 5 windows in 2 days! I'm a super perfectionist so the first thing I looked at was the caulking lines. Smooth & near perfect - be fair.. no one is perfect! We had constant communication with the HomeRite team including Brittani & Jason. They double checked their measurements before install. We had a call on the first day of install asking how it was going. I really felt like we were their only customers. No one gives one on one attention like that anymore! Second day RJ called to let us know he was running behind. He said he expected to be here by 930am and was several minutes earlier than that. It's a delight having our new windows and screens in our home. I can open the windows with one finger, they tilt in for easy cleaning, and the screens are easy to take out as needed. Excellent team, excellent product! We'll be using them again!

I was also sold "obscured" windows for our master bathroom that you can make out every detail of someone using the bathroom. No response to my concern. He said I guess you know we won't be making any money on this, could you possibly do 18 months. We said sure, we had just gotten a new roof and didn't want to pay for the windows in the same year so we would be paying it off before then any way. Our windows were failing and we jumped at the chance to replace them before the cold weather. Josh entered everything on his IPad and turned it over to us to e-sign. I think there was 13 pages of small print, which we did not take the time to read. Josh repeatedly told us of the 18 month no payments, no interest and nothing down. A few days later we got a notice from a finance company stating that we would need to make a payment within a few days. He told us that the payment was due the minute the window were installed. I called Josh and he said and I quote "My fat fingers hit the wrong button for your deal. I will take care of it right away." I told him, I do not want our credit to be ruined over this. He said no, no that is not going to happen, we are going to have a meeting and we will see that this gets straightened out. That is when he started ignoring us. We then called Mo Sharif. He said he would check into it. Meanwhile I am starting to feel like a deadbeat and decided to pay my first installment WITH interest! Be very wary of this company! I remember that it was difficult to get a response from Renewal -- I received a call from Linda who told me we had won but then I heard nothing until I recontacted them several times. In the end, our $10,000 got us three windows -- the gigantic one in front and a smaller one in the living room and one in the kitchen. While we were thrilled to have replaced the windows, the large window always made noise when the wind blew and the two smaller ones always felt cold and had cold air cascading down in the winter. I had contacted Renewal for service a couple of times and they quickly dispatched someone to examine the windows and address my concerns about the clarity of the windows and the fitment. The creaking and cold air intrusion was never addressed. That house was sold and we recently purchased a condo. I had intended to replace the windows as the windows are older and not completely operational. Many of the folks in the development had their windows replaced by Renewal and recommended them so I figured I'd reach out to them and see if anything has changed. I went online and scheduled an appointment, received a confirmation and never heard another thing back from them; this may be just as well since I recall that Renewal was relentless in contacting me about replacing the other windows at the house. Instead, I went with another company who did an outstanding job. Those windows were air-tight, didn't make noises, and offered an incredible amount of convenience and weather protection -- not only from cold air but also from resistance from the sun. I think that Renewal is one of those companies that is so large and well-known that they rely on name recognition. What's interesting is that so many of the reviews on Yelp are not good ones. I'm offering two stars since the service appointments that were scheduled were handled efficiently and the fellas who came to the house were friendly. But a no-call, no-show in this age of email, text messages, and phones seems unexplainable.
