They tried to keep my personal belongs and denied me access unless I paid. They wanted to charge hundreds of dollars so that their staff could access my personal files and bring them to me. After two weeks of trying, I had to enlist outside assistance and threaten legal consequences to finally get access. They took a file cabinet that was specifically singled out to leave for us with all manner of banking records, passports and other information and have seemingly "misplaced" that. If I have any identity theft occur on my credit I will instantly know where the problem was. Never, Ever, do business with these people. During the move, their crew wrapped and transported my 55-inch Samsung television, which was fully functional prior to the move. After unwrapping and powering it on at my new residence, I discovered severe panel damage, including cracking and vertical line distortion, ruining the TV. We observed the crew drop a plastic box containing personal belongings and drop our mattress, demonstrating careless handling practices. I booked the Basic Move option and was informed verbally that damage claims are considered on a case-by-case basis. Despite this, my claim for replacement value was formally denied, citing lack of a specialty TV box and basic coverage. Attached are photos of the damaged television. I expected Bellhop to show up and I am assuming Bellhop is a broker and contracted Robles Moving. The packers showed up on time and brought only 6 wardrobe boxes for a full 1 bedroom packing. Of course Samuel was not returning any phone calls,but the movers called their manager and Samuel put this down and all I would need. I had to wait 2 hours while one of the workers went back to the warehouse to get more boxes.The movers did not check the closets and ran out of boxes. I then have to go to Home Depot for more boxes. They folded my hanging clothes and put them in a small box instead of using the wardrobe boxes I brought. The movers wasted the garment boxes on a hodge podge of items. To think I gave the movers rugs that I didn't want a beverages to drink and to be done like this is absurd. Now onto the mover. I had to double check behind them twice because they were going to leave things. (Which they left my step ladder). Stringing at my new apartment they scratch up the from door and laid my bicycle again the wall which resulted in marks and a gash in the wall. The some of the boxes were mixed with everything. The movers scratched my wood tv stand, broke my bookshelf in to places and scratched the hardwood floors. I would not wish this company on my enemies.

Unfortunately, this experience was disappointing. Before the move, Fresh Start Movers completed an in-person walkthrough of our four-bedroom home and belongings to assess what needed to be moved and provide an anticipated cost. We relied on that assessment and the quote they provided. What was especially frustrating was that we were not informed that an additional trip would be required until after the movers had already started loading our household goods into the truck. At that point, we were told a second trip would be necessary, which caused the total cost of our move to essentially double. Considering the company had already conducted an in-person walkthrough of a four-bedroom home, I believe they should have arrived with a truck large enough to reasonably accommodate the move. At minimum, we should have been advised beforehand that multiple trips might be necessary and what that could mean financially. Finding out after loading had already begun left us with very little choice. I do want to acknowledge that the movers themselves were polite and worked to complete the move. My concerns are primarily with the company's planning, pricing, communication, and follow-up. After the move, we contacted Fresh Start Movers multiple times regarding two unresolved issues. First, there is a box that their movers packed that we have been unable to locate. We packed everything else ourselves, so we are specifically trying to determine where the box they packed was placed. Second, a piece of our treadmill was broken during the move, and we are still waiting for a response regarding reimbursement so that we can order the replacement part. The move took place on a Tuesday, and nearly a week later, we are still waiting for the company to address the treadmill reimbursement and provide clarification regarding the box their movers packed. The lack of follow-up has made an already frustrating experience even more disappointing. We selected this company because we wanted to support a veteran-owned business, and we expected better communication and accountability. Although the move was completed and the movers were courteous, the unexpected second trip, a final cost that was essentially double the original quote, poor communication, and unresolved concerns involving missing and damaged property significantly affected our experience. I strongly recommend that anyone considering this company get everything in writing regarding truck size, the expected number of trips, possible additional charges, and how missing or damaged property will be handled before the move begins.

We hired him to move us from Boerne several months ago and the whole experience was a disaster! We had to move our things into storage units before we were able to move into our new home. We hired Boerne's Strongest Movers to pack our home into several storage units. He double booked us while "packing" the house, so he was not present as he said he would be. And his "crew" consisting of 2 well meaning but totally untrained and unprepared young ladies who succeeded in packing everything so poorly, the damage was unimaginable, broken pieces everywhere. Then his moving crew who could not legally drive the rented UHaul trucks and trailers that he rents (he does not own his own trucks), proceeded to throw our things into the trucks, then into the storage units in such a haphazard fashion, we had to undergo more breakage there. And that, on the things that made the trip, multiple items did not even show up at the new location, most notably 2 twin box spring foundations, kitchen knives, silverware, cutting boards, baking pans, children's outdoor play equipment, antique stand, and other personal items. So use him at your own risk! If you have anything of real value, it is in real danger!
