I had my brakes done here. They were able to see me at the first time that worked for me. Nick called me within a short period of time to let me know the diagnosis and cost. The work was done quickly. The cost was fair. From the perspective of efficiency and finances, this is a great shop. However, the shop has something more than the pure business side. As noted in many of the reviews I read before I tried this shop, there is a true human element at work here. I felt that Nick was genuine and thoughtful. He was also very considerate. He had someone pull my car out for me when I went to pick it up as it was parked in a tight spot, saving me from performing a dozen small maneuvers to get it out, haha. I would bring my car there again in a heartbeat.

I said yeah why not. They did it the second I left I get a noise from the back of my car. I went right back and they told me if it continues at the next service then I should go see a mechanic for it so I listened to their instructions and I come back with the noise still for the next oil change. They said bring it to a mechanic. I brought it to my mechanic and my mechanic told me my entire differential is destroyed. So I called the claim center and they started a claim and the person that did the work is the one who did the investigation. That person told me that they did nothing wrong and they're going to decline my claim. Meanwhile, I now have a $5000 repair to make for work that they did wrong. I escalated the claim and nobody else got back to me. They told me that they did nothing wrong and there's nothing more that they are going to do. Now I have to pay because of their mistakes. I was greeted…read morewarmly by Scott who was in the front end Lobby, he was very courteous, he was very friendly and he was able to help me right away with what I needed and checked me right in. It was a very inviting place to be because it allowed you to relax and not worry about what needed to be done and it was very professionally run. I'm going to now talk about the experience with my vehicle. This was also a great experience the tech that worked on my vehicle was excellent he was well informed he knew exactly what he was doing he was the one that performed the inspection on my vehicle and was very thorough. He also performed the oil change and also performed all the other text that needed to be done including the air filters in which he did find something that needed to be changed which was both air filters. Normally they would try to push items on to you while they're working on the vehicle that was not so in this case they let me know that the vehicle passed inspection but did need to get tires eventually and expressed concern that although they did pass the tires did seem like they were on the very cusp of not passing so they recommended that I get them replaced as soon as possible I thought that was excellent of them because they could have very easily just said while you need to replace them now but they didn't they were honest, and honesty goes a long way with me. Overall my experience there was an excellent one I truly enjoyed the conversation I had with Scott and during the wait for my vehicle the knowledge that the tech had was Bar None when it came to my vehicle and what needed to be done with it and the professional courtesy that was given to me and expressed in this facility was very much appreciated. If you ever need to have work done on your vehicle, I would definitely recommend this place. Thank you for listening.

Since discovering this gentleman and his repair shop not long ago I have been bringing both of my…read morevehicles to him for repairs. This review just reinforces my previous review. Kenta Bond, the owner of this shop is a man of high integrity. He also is a master of customer service. I call him a dinosaur because, even though he is a rather young person, he provides "old time" customer service. His pricing is extremely competitive - better than many - and he truly cares about his customers. The other day he stayed late to make sure my car repair was complete. It was not a simple repair. The car needed an axle. The parts supply house was very late getting him the needed part so Mr. Bond actually got in his car and went to the supply house and picked up the part himself. That pushed the repair completion time back. However, Mr. Bond stayed about an hour past usual closing time to get the job done for me. He does high quality work and is an absolute pleasure to deal with. Please help support this small local business. He needs the support far more than the big chain repair shops in the area and his price markups are far less than theirs!

I pulled in and the gentleman who came to my window asked me what I wanted and when I told him he said well we only do inspections from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. which to me is amazing especially when it when recently no one had been able to get their vehicles inspected. Then, I told him I wanted an oil changed and he told me "well the is only two of us on so you are going to have a wait, because someone just pulled in and someone is right after them, it is first come first serve, so, if you want to wait you can". This struck me as odd because I did not see where he wanted me to stay with the way it was said to me. When I asked if anyone else in the area does inspections he said I have no idea I am not from around here and I left. I worked for businesses like this in the past, and I will tell as stressed out as I got I never spoke to a customer in that way to make them feel unwanted. I went there for every oil change and every inspection for the past 4 years but unfortunately I will but going elsewhere to do my business, that just turned me off. On another note I am sure he was probably having a bad day. That is not an excuse get out of the feild if you can not talk the pressure of the job. THEY SENT US HOME WITHOUT OUR OIL CAP AND THEN LOST IT!…read more The check engine light came on and I used my code reader to determine what was wrong. When I called them the next day and returned to the shop, they initially even were skeptical until they opened the hood and discovered that they had not only forgot to replace the oil cap but they completely lost it too. Oil had ejected out on to our engine cover. We had to wait for them to go buy a new oil cap at a dealership, clean up the mess the oil made and then they didn't even clear the code. No offer of a refund, and no one has yet to even reach out to us again. This is a dangerous level of incompetence with their customers' vehicles! Imagine if we hadn't caught it quickly and our engine ran without oil or it did any more damage? Someone should be disciplined and Firestone needs to get a handle on what's going on at the Scotia, NY shop. We're done with them forever of course and monitoring our car for any additional issues that could've been caused by this.

In addition to some of the specifics mentioned in my previous review (see below), there have been several instances where Ankers could have just recommended the more expensive route to fix something, but chose to allow us to make an informed decision by trying alternatives or doing things incrementally so that it could be determined if a smaller fix would suffice. All this without sacrificing the integrity of the car, though. It is such a relief to know you are going to receive competent and honest work on one of the major financial investments you make: your vehicle. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Secondly, I strongly suspect I got shorted a quart because my previously percolating engine was a quart down a week after the visit. Then the "change oil" mileage was set at 3K, even though the recommendation at my car's age has been 5K for the longest time and it should have been in the Napa records. Speaking of which, the oil change did not make it into the on-line record for the car, which kind of defeats the purpose of sticking to the Napa system. So as much as I kinda liked them, now I feel I can't trust them, so will not be back.
