Solid matcha that I would get again if in the area. The workers were kind and service was speedy. I enjoyed the woody, quaint ambiance of the inside of the cafe.
The Coconut Coffee Cloud was light, balanced and refreshing. The foam and coconut flakes on top added a nice texture to this drink. The barista was very attentive and answered my questions regarding the menu. This place is very large with plenty of seating and looks like a cool hangout or a place to work on your laptop. Definitely coming back to try the matcha.
First time here, new matcha lover. Seriously so tasty here, I got the cloud matcha. It wasn't watered down at all and had amazing umami flavor. I believe they use Nami Matcha, long line goes by fairly quickly, lovely hangout spot with friends with a cozy chill ambiance. They also have cool mugs and little knick knacks for purchase if you're interested in their merch along with other small brands.
**August 2026: Sunday Afternoon Visit** My friend and I needed a spot with good Wi‑Fi to do some trip planning while we were in San Diego. He found Easy Does It, so we decided to check it out. The space felt like a college campus and library combined. It's really big, with lots of tables and chairs, but nothing felt cramped. There were cozy seating areas and even some couches, so it was easy to settle in for a while and was definitely the kind of place where people can chat, study, or work on their laptops. The vibe was perfect for what we needed, and the AC was blasting. There are two gender‑neutral bathrooms and plenty of parking, which was a nice bonus. I ordered the Matcha Cloud and swapped in oat milk. We found a spot to work at the back of the house. Honestly, this place is huge and a great spot to do work. For space and vibe, I'd give it 4 stars. My drink didn't taste memorable or like something I'd order again, but I think if I'm in the area I might be open to trying a different beverage. Overall, I'd give this place about 3.5 stars.
Wow! If you are pretty particular about your matcha like I am, I would say that this is the place to go to! This might be my new favorite place for matcha in San Diego. If you are familiar with the Orange County cafe scene, this place feels like it can be one of those coffee shops based off the interior design, good quality of food and drinks, merchandise, overall ambiance, and more. The food and drinks I got were really delicious! There are a lot of spaces to study in the cafe with ports to charge your electronics and Wi-Fi. The service is great as well. If you are looking for something else to do after visiting the cafe, there is FotoOp, a cute photo-booth experience with a lot of different backgrounds!
Hugeee fan of easy does it- not only for the drinks, but just the vibes inside and community! Plenty of tables and natural lighting, it's the perfect place to study, work, or catch up with a friend. All the workers are really nice and helpful. They serve coffees, matchas, hojichas, and even wines! The hojicha was perfectly brewed and not too sweet. Will definitely be back here again!
I've been here a few times and never got to writing a review. I recommend this cafe for their matchas and other drinks. This time I got a Passionfruit matcha tonic. It was really refreshing and the two flavors blended really well together. Service was fast. I went on a Monday afternoon and there was no line. The cashier was really friendly and nice. My drink came out in less than five minutes. This is a really cute and quiet place to study. There's plenty of indoor seating. It's not too loud so it is a good place to study at. There is a little Mac computer by the entrance where you can take a photo. Parking can be a little bit tricky. Some spots are limited time with the green curb. I had to go around once or twice to find parking. Overall, I recommend this place and I would come back.
The matcha cloud is very good! The matcha powder has an amazing taste to it and they put perfect amount of sweetener! I also tried decaf cappuccino and the espresso has good taste too. Glad to see the business thrive because they definitely are good at what they do!
Super cute matcha place. This space is pretty big and I had came for a mahjong event. They have really cool decor on the store and looks like a really cool event place. I bet there is plenty of space to hang out during normal hours. Staff was super friendly and the drinks were good too. I came kind of late and got a non caffinated tea. Parking is pretty big but during the event time I'll was lucky to find a spot.
I've heard so many people love this place and I get the hype. The roast is perfect for their honey cinnamon latte. It's not overly sweet to where you still get to taste the coffee. The staff is friendly and were patient with the questions I did have. There were quite a few people with laptops working there. We came on a weekday and it was quite enough to work. There is plenty of seating inside and outside. If you're looking for a place to work from and have coffee this is your spot!
It is a TRAVESTY... that I haven't yet written about the coffee shop I've dedicated my life to over the past year, because... well, like I said, you will always find me here! OVERVIEW Come for the equally balanced, delicious coffee AND matcha drinks; the spacious work setting; the side entertainment (like a free bookshelf + camp chairs outside), and incredible ownership. Be prepared for hard parking during peak hours (lunchtime) and possible lack of seats (especially during schooltime). DRINKS It is RARE to find a shop whose matcha is on par with its coffee; normally, one is better than the other. Easy Does It, or EDI as we affectionately call it, is pro at BOTH. With coffee served from Provecho, matcha from Nami and hojicha from Paru??? You just hit a trifecta of GOOD good. Our Typical Order: 1) Iced Earl Grey Latte - omg, I LOVE the earthiness that the earl grey syrup brings to the matcha. Matcha, to me, is either too grassy or too sweet; the earl grey syrup makes it a perfectly earthy balance. 2) Honey Cinnamon Latte - how good could a standard coffee shop latte be, you ask? They have the HCL at almost every shop, and it's not usually standout. EDI, again, blew expectations wide open. Their HCL is balanced: sweet without being saccharine; and you can actually taste the cinnamon. 3) Hojicha Latte, Hot - omg, there was a time when I ordered almost one of these A DAY. Again, another sleeper - if you like the taste of coffee but can't take the caffeine (for a late night drink, perhaps), a hojicha is a good choice. It has that grounded taste that coffee gives, and the hot version of it is like a HUG for your mouth and stomach. They also have cool inventive flavors like the Matcha Cloud, the Coconut Cream Cloud (which is a coffee cloud on top of coconut water, I hear it's refreshing), so you'll never get tired of the drinks they have here. I also want to mention that they do serve wine and beer, too... so there's something for everyone! FOOD Spend any time in a coffee shop and know... you're gonna get hungry! Thankfully, EDI has open-faced bagel sandwiches AND pastries here, all of which look mighty tasty; all of which I cannot partake in, since I am gluten free. But ohhh, gluten warriors unite! Thanks to the partnership that is Jacob of Made for Mei Mei Mochi (aka the protein mochi) and Easy Does It, you'll have your PICK of 5 different flavors of homemade, chewy, ooey, DELICIOUS MOCHI -- SANS added sugars and preservatives you normally find in the store. I'm telling you, I don't normally like mochi (it tends to be so sweet) but I love the texture. And Made for Mei Mei hits it all! Flavors include: 1) chocolate hazelnut -- which tastes like Ferrer Rocher, yum 2) ube 3) green tea / red bean 4) black sesame 5) pb&j (yes, he's stocked peanut butter & jelly, a fan-demanded flavor) My favorites are #1 and #4; sometimes I go for #2 and #5 to mix it up. Either way, I spend WAY too much on these tiny li'l treats I might as well become an early investor. AMBIENCE This place is perfect for computer work as light doesn't directly fill the whole space. I like a li'l shade when I'm staring at a bright computer screen. There are two rooms: front and back; the back is a li'l darker and more chill vibes than the front. I also appreciate that they have a free bookshelf (just replenish it with your own!), plus a few magazines scattered around (for decoration, but I still browse). I miss when coffee shops had analog media, especially for when we don't want to be glued to our screens. EXTRA CREDIT Easy Does It also offers their shop as space for community events. From mahjong with No Ambition Tile Club to wine and jazz nights IN SUM THANK YOU Easy Does It ~ Grace, Nancy, the sister I haven't met, Eugenia, and the entire team ~ for creating a lovely third space where I can work, enjoy my snacks / drinks, meet friends and co-work, and have a great conversation. You make it so easy to feel welcomed, and I'll forever be grateful for you :)
A spacious, study cafe with plenty of seating and some wall outlets. Came on a Friday morning, and it's generally pretty quiet because everyone is on their laptops working on something. A lot of solo workers! I visited with a friend just to chat, and while there's music playing in the background, I'm sure people could hear us chat lol. The seating in the back of the store opens at 10am BTW; when I got here at 10am, 99% of the seating in the main room was full. I ordered the Matcha Earl Grey ($6.50), and it was OK. I got it half sweetened (the earl grey was just part of the sweetener) and less ice. I could taste the lingering matcha, but not the earl grey. Overall it was a bit watery. The workers are kind, and the cafe itself is very clean. Lowkey kind of dark with lots of window light. Free wifi with password info next to the cashier. I'd come again to work, seems like you can stay here a long time unlike other cafes. I wouldn't suggest coming here to catch up with a friend---unless you're quiet. :)
Was in the area and was craving a bagel. Thank goodness I stumbled upon this place because everything was yummy. The staff was attentive and knowledgable. Never had tonic matcha before. I got the matcha with passionfruit tonic. I've never had this before, but I'm glad I tried it. I got the smoky catch bagel and mushroom and got cheese empenada. Both were filling and flavorful. Would I come here again? Yes.
Food: 9/10 Service: 9/10 Ambiance: 10/10 I've been meaning to try this place for a long time, and I could finally go because the hours were extended. I got a hojicha sikhae that was part of their specialty menu, and it was really good! I would definitely come again; I'm honestly even thinking about going tomorrow. They also have a wine menu that they serve the whole day so I'm excited to try that as well. I love how they dim the lights at the end of the day. read more
The drinks and food are a solid 5/5. The space itself is about a 3.5/5. They make the matcha and hojicha fresh and you can taste the difference. We also ordered the lox on an everything bagel. The bagel is a nice fat fresh fluffy bagel and the flavors of the entirety was great. All orders were provided in to go containers and cups. Which is fine. What got me was that this place felt almost a little grimy. Every table seems to have some sort of smudge on it. The bathroom was nice in the fact that there's a changing pad for new moms on top of this beautiful cabinet piece of furniture. Then right next to it are all the cleaning supplies just sitting on the floor for all to see. That kind of ruined the atmosphere for me. read more
I've been meaning to try this place since it's so close to work. I tried the matcha cloud which the worker said was the most popular. I love that the matcha was rich and vibrant and lightly sweetened just enough where the matcha still shined through. I also got the spinach pocket to try but it was just okay. There was a piece of parchment paper stuck to the bottom. I wouldn't get it again. I will definitely come back for the drinks, though! Inside was very spacey and great for getting work done. Very chill vibe. read more
Great place to study! Almost everyone in here was studying and they have a few communal tables and couches. Somewhat limited on the outlets, about 3. WiFi and bathroom available. Parking slightly difficult, I had to circle the lot a few times but no time limit. Staff was very pleasant. You have the option of a glass cup or mug if your order is for here. The pastries looked amazing, mostly sold out when I came at 1pm so I wasn't able to try any personally. Some small food options available as well such as bagels. I got the matcha cloud - tasted good but I personally thought my drink had an odd mouth feel possibly due to under whisking. They do handwhisk their matcha behind the counter. Could be a one off, would love to come again and for the matcha a second chance as well as try the coffee! read more
Good place to take a break and grab something cold and something hot. I opted for the hot wild green tea and my companion chose matcha cloud (iced) tea. They only sweeten with maple syrup an agave option would have been great. Great ambiance and definitely a cool place to hang out read more

Place was minimal but bustling! I loved the energy. Service was fast and friendly. I got the yuzu espresso tonic drink and omg it was amazing. I have no complaints. Delicious! I ordered a few other drinks for my friends and put my name down. The staff are hilarious!! They spelled my name differently four times definitely for the kicks. We had a good laugh once we realized. They had good seating options. Would be a good choice for catching up with someone. :) read more

Had to visit the new performative HQ of San Diego. As a self-proclaimed performer, I can confidently say that this fits the bill. Super performative drinks, performative interior, they even have performative chairs out front. Perfect place to come study/work and try to impress everybody with how cool you look sipping your drink while scrolling Pinterest and still comparing yourself to the fashion zeitgeist of the time. You're so tuff twin. read more
Super cute place for hanging out and studying. Chill music chill vibes. If I were young and still in college, I'd see this being my spot. As a matcha girlie, yes to their matcha! But even more so, the Hojicha was amazingly roasty toasty. The cloud on top was great too. Service was fast. The workers were so friendly. Ample parking. Funny camping chairs aligned outside. Favorite matcha in SD so far! read more

I ordered Matcha cloud. Really good. Highly recommended. The person at the register was very informative when I asked about the difference about matcha and hojicha. Thank you and I will be back to try hojicha. The place was pretty spacious and I saw a lot of people studying. Pretty quiet. Line gets pretty long too. lol but so worth the wait for matcha. read more
I have been wanting to check out Easy Does It and when my friend had suggested we have our catch up there I was so stoked. First, there is ample parking, we came at 8 am and there were so many spots and this place is pretty spacious. The cafe itself has so many seating options inside and out, you can definitely get some work done here if you're able to work remote. I ended up ordering the matcha cloud, which I assume is just the matcha latte with the salted cream cap as well as a cinnamon roll and ham and cheese croissant for later. My matcha was really perfect, it wasn't too sweet and when you mixed in the "cloud" that's when you got that little bit of sweetness. I'm pretty caffeine sensitive and I kid you not that gave me a good amount of energy throughout the day. I did share the cinnamon roll with my friends and it was perfect, I'm not sure if they offer it to be warmed but it would have probably been so good warmed up. Also, can I just say how fast getting everything was, as soon as I ordered got to a table my drink was already ready, seriously really appreciate that fast and friendly service, would definitely come back, I hope they try to do other matcha flavorings. read more

I see why they're priced a little lower than other places. The drinks are small. Not in a bad way, just something I noted. This place seems to stay busy. But surprisingly very quiet also. Parking lot is atrocious. I barely got a spot. I would keep that in mind. Overall, I would recommend checking this place out if you've been curious. The honey cinnamon latte was good. Definitely excited to come back and try their other drinks. Staff were friendly and quick the bring out my drink! read more
Hojicha cloud - the cream is sweet and salty, definitely the highlight. latte is perfectly sweetened, highly recommend! one of the best Hojicha latte I've had! Matcha latte - matcha is very subtle and drink was very watered down, highly recommend getting the matcha cloud. not my favorite. Staff friendly with quick service. Lots of tables and seatings, there's a mini photobooth right by the door! Very chill and cute shop. Easy and free parking. read more
It's always pack when I'm there or passing by. It's a great place to study or hang out with friends. I have been obsessed with their matcha cloud. Their salted cream just hits the spot. My friend ordered a hojicha latte and loved it. If you like the nutty flavor then you won't be disappointed. The drinks come out really fast too. They do carry pastries and serve wine as well (like what!?!) The staff are friendly. Parking isn't bad as it's in a big eatery complex. read more
If you love traditional tasting matcha this spot is just for you!!! I got their matcha latte with salted cream foam and yum yum yum it was delicious! Bonus was that other than oat and almond non-dairy options, they also had lactose free milk. My tummy was very thankful, and I feel like you never see that available in SD coffee/matcha shops! Ambience was chill and quiet with many students studying or doing work. The baristas were super passionate about their products which I loved! read more
3.8 stars. I came to grab a quick latte on Saturday morning and the place was packed. There is plenty of seating options. They are doing their grand opening soon after being in operation for a few months. They had some seasonal latte but I stuck to the regular latte to see what the hype was about. Their matcha are what's popular so I'll probably get that next time. They have an assortment of baked goods and you can order food as well. Really glad to see a local business thrive and will continue supporting them! read more
I'm not a matcha guy, but this place makes me want to be a matcha guy. My family of five treated ourselves to Easy Does It. Their beverages are well crafted and unique. If you're a coffee and tea lover, easy does it makes it look easy to do both exceptionally. I ordered an iced dirty matcha, but if I went back I'd do an iced latte with a matcha cloud on top. My wife ordered a seasonal coconut coffee cloud. The boys ordered a cinnamon roll. All of it was excellent. The coffee shop was quiet and offered plenty of space to work; we were the only ones there not working. They also had coloring pencils, markers, and paper for kids' activity. The staff were very friendly and advised us on all of our ordering (in)decision. read more

After seeing this place all over social I finally got to try it. Came on a Saturday morning and the place was busy but the line wasn't too bad. I got the matcha cloud and a hojicha latte. I was excited to try the hojicha as that isn't as common around SD yet. They have oat, almond and lactose free milk as alternative milk options. The matcha was a good flavor albeit not super strong. The cloud part is essentially a thick sweetened cream. Super yummy. The hojicha latte was a stronger flavor which I loved but it was much more grainy of a texture than the matcha which I didn't like. I appreciated that neither of the drinks were overly sweet and I didn't adjust the sweetness at all. They have a very large indoor space but it was all taken when we came. They have a few outdoor camp like chairs with tables outside as well that we sat at. read more
This is located in a strip mall next to pho Duyen Mai. The space itself is kind of like industrial minimalist, modern, and there are some tables and chairs, but mostly filled with a whole bunch of students " studying." there are some camping chairs lined up in the front of the shop so you can always sit there and look outside the parking lot if you're into that. I've only had the hojicha cloud Matcha latte and it is really good. I like that. The Hoji flavor is pretty strong and it's the perfect balance of sweetness to tea ratio. I feel like some of these new macho places make it to better but I think this is a good violence between sweet and bitterness. The cloud foam is perfectly salted and is really good when you drink it by itself and when you mix it together, the weight can be a little long if there's a lot of people which they're usually as a lot of people, especially on the weekends the service is your usual coffee shop service, which is nonexistent. Grab the cute little frog sticker that they have for free at the register. read more

Easy Does It is a lovely little cafe! Plenty of seating inside with a cozy vibe. We got a matcha latte and a hojicha latte. I typically like an unsweetened matcha, theirs comes lightly sweetened with maple syrup and it was really still well balanced. The matcha tasted very high quality too. Hojicha was also yummy with the roasted/brown sugary taste. In addition to their drinks they also sell pastries which all looked great. They also had hojicha, matcha, and coffee beans available for purchase, along with some really cute merch with their frog logo on it. Will definitely be stopping by edi again! read more

This cafe has been on my list to visit the next time I'm in socal and finallyyyy got to check it out this weekend! They're located in a large shopping plaza near ktown with ample parking. Tried their iced matcha latte and was genuinely impressed by their matcha quality and taste. I haven't tried many other matcha spots in SD just yet, but wouldn't be surprised if this ends up being one of the best. Interior is super trendy, modern, tons of cozy indoor seating for individual work/study time and bigger tables better suited for large groups. They even had a fun photo station with an iMac and guestbook where you can snap a screen selfie and leave a note. Definitely a spot I'd come back to the next time I'm visiting SD. Hospitable and friendly service too. Matcha lovers and trendsetters, don't sleep on easydoesit! read more
This spot has been on my list to try for quite some time now and I am glad I finally got the chance to stop by! Easy Does It is quickly gaining recognition as one of the best spots in SD for matcha and hojicha drinks. They are located in a plaza with a good amount of parking spots. Inside, they have a very spacious and modern setup with a lot of seating options. For their menu, they have a solid selection of matcha and hojicha drinks to choose from. Wifey and I decided to go with their Hojicha Cloud and it did not disappoint! Overall, we really liked the vibes of the shop and spending some time here. All of the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Come stop by for yourself and see if they have the best matcha and hojicha in SD. read more
Food: Got their matcha latte, matcha cloud, and a bagel sandwich. In the matcha drinks, I feel like I couldn't really taste the match; however, I feel like I'm someone who really enjoys when the tea flavor is more prominent. The bagel sandwich was good! I wish I took a picture or got the name, but my said had cream cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, and capers. The ingredients tastes so fresh and I feel like one order was big enough for 2 people. Service: The staff was very kind! The woman who helped us was welcoming and cheerful. She made sure to ask about any customization for each item. Ambience: This cage is very spacious! You won't feel crowded or that it gets too loud in there so I think it's good for getting some work done! The style is very hip as well. read more

I have been here several times already, and have always been satisfied with their drinks. My typical go to drinks are the Yuzu espresso tonic and the latte. I really like the Yuzu espresso tonic, especially on a hot day as it is very refreshing. I do not have very refined taste in coffee however, for my taste palette, the latte was well balanced. The staff members are always friendly and they make the drinks very quickly so you are not waiting too long. While they do have a decent amount of room, because it is pretty popular, sometimes it can be hard to grab a table to sit at. It is a great café spot whether you want to study or hang out with friends. They also have a couple pastries, which I believe they get from some local bakers and the ones that I've tried so far such as the egg tarts are pretty good, although certainly not cheap. read more

Checked out Easy Does It yesterday since I was in the area and really loved the vibe. The space is super clean and open with tons of seating, so it's a great place to hang out. The staff were awesome and super friendly. I got the Mia-mor Latte and a plain bagel with cream cheese, and both hit the spot. One major bonus: they only charge $0.50 extra for oat milk! Most other coffee shops charge $1.00 or more now, so that was a really nice surprise. They also gave me a stamp card for future visits, which I'll definitely be using. Will absolutely be back! read more
Love this spot. Definitely one of the better matchas in SD. Ive had the matcha cloud and passionfruit matcha. Both were amazing. The matcha cloud is perfect for those looking for a creamy matcha, the matcha is rich in flavor and not too sweet. The passionfruit matcha is perfect if you're craving matcha but want something light. The inside is super spacious, great for studying. They got a couch too to lounge on. Tried their cinnamon roll its a little salty but not bad by any means. I probably wouldnt get it again but it was worth a try. read more
With all the matcha cafes trending and popping up in San Diego, new establishments really have to be special to stand out from the crowd and I think Easy Does It has potential. I've been here 3 times and tried their various matcha, lattes, and hojicha offerings. I will say that they've got their basics down, but I'd really love to see them experiment with new flavor combos and try something really out of the box. I tried their egg tart pastry as well and thought it was just okay. It tasted more homemade than professional, which isn't necessarily bad but I wish there was a little more finesse. I was expecting a flakier and more buttery crust. They have a really nice and large space that's nicely decorated but I feel like it could be more homey. Lastly, I know they're busy but the staff could've been a little more welcoming and friendly rather than purely transactional. Overall, I'm glad San Diego is stepping up their matcha game and I'm excited for what's next from EDI! read more
My friends and I came here on a Saturday afternoon, and there was a small line, but the line moved pretty quickly. We got the matcha cloud, hojicha latte, and a yuzu matcha tonic, as well as a plain bagel with cream cheese. The matcha cloud was okay. The matcha was not that strong in the drink, it tasted more diluted with milk than matcha forward. The cream top didn't have much flavor in it, just purely cream. Not a bad drink, but I think there may be better placed in the area for a solid matcha drink. I much preferred the hojicha latte over the matcha cloud! Good hojicha flavor, but again, didn't care too much for the cream on top because it doesn't add much to the drink. My boyfriend got the yuzu matcha tonic and really enjoyed his drink, said he liked the balance of all of the flavors. The bagel was good ($4 for a bagel), and it came warm and toasted. The bagels do not come with cream cheese, which is an added fee of $1 (kind of an insane price tag for cream cheese but it is what it is). There is plentiful parking in the lot, and there's plenty of tables inside to work/study/sit with friends and family. The workers were really nice as well. read more
Easy Does It was a pleasant and calming space. I was pleasantly surprised by it's spacious interior, well-planned seating the music is lightly upbeat. My matcha latte was standard; not too bitter or too sweet. Perfect for a three-way chat with friends. Service is friendly and prompt. Wifi is available and the natural lighting is good even on a rainy day. I'd check out the pastry case and other items on the menu next time, they look good. There's a curated rack of clothing for sale in the corner. My friends ended up choosing some quality thrift pieces! At an excellent price for things like branded jeans. Shout-out because funnily enough it's called Grace's thrift. :) read more
Cloud Hojicha Latte review Very big shop with lots of seating. The hojicha is strong (but could be stronger). However it is one of the better places I have tried. I got it with whole milk. The cloud top doesn't really do much to the drink. For $7.00, I think it's a bit pricey for the size. read more
Easy Does It is one of those rare coffee spots that nails both style and substance. Located in Kearny Mesa, this café by the same owners at Sunday Ice Cream boasts a large, fun, and aesthetic space that feels perfect for soaking in the good vibes. The ambiance is effortlessly cool, with clean design and a welcoming energy that makes you want to linger. The drinks? Absolutely crave-worthy. My personal favorite is the Hojicha cloud. Their yuzu espresso tonic is another standout: bright, citrusy, and refreshingly bold. And if you're a matcha lover, its vibrant and smooth with just enough strength of matcha. Service is always welcoming and friendly; I'm always excited for their seasonal specials (Such as the Coconut coffee cloud which is another incredible creation). And oh; I keep coming back and every time, it's just as delightful; Ha Ha ! read more

Everyone is doing matcha, but not everyone is doing it well! There are a lot of mid matcha shops flooding the market, but Easy Does It isn't one of those places. They're easily in my top 5! Good quality taste and such a cute shop. What makes them stand out for me is that they also offer Hojicha. I'm a big Hojicha lover, especially when I want a little less caffeine. I got the iced hojicha latte with lactose milk and the cream foam top. It was perfection! Service was friendly and the space was industrial and large. Tons of people were set up on their laptops getting work done. I like their cute little logo with the frog sipping its drink. They had free little stickers that I added to my keychain. Awesome spot. A little far from the main areas in Convoy but parking is easy and accessible! read more
A former electronics store in the Spectrum Village of Kearny Mesa has been remodeled into a spacious cafe by a local group of friends. Easy Does It opened a couple of months ago right next door to a boba tea shop which I thought was pretty bold. The tables were well spaced apart to take advantage of the floor space, however I felt they could have squeezed in some more seating. The decor was rather simple without much adorning the walls. The menu here was vastly different than its neighbor with this place featuring espresso and matcha. Prices ranged from $4 to $7 for the beverages of which there were a dozen available. There were also some baked goods for sale, but not much was left by the time I arrived in the final hour of operation. From the five specialty drinks, I chose a Matcha Latte that was served with ice. The matcha flavor was one of the stronger versions I have tasted around town. I didn't sense any bitterness, but my palate may not be as sensitive to such an aftertaste. The six dollar price for the cup size was on par with what you pay elsewhere. Easy Does It closes at 4 pm daily so next time I will come earlier and hope my four star experience will be even better. read more

A whole bunch of new cafes are popping up all over SD, but Easy Does It definitely does it for me! With cute branding, ample seating options, and a pretty killer matcha, they're really standing out in the cafe scene. I got their Matcha Cloud which is a matcha latte with a salted cream top. The matcha was solid- nice color, flavor, and creaminess. The cream was a really nice touch- not too sweet and balanced out the drink nicely. Honestly, one of the better matchas I've had here in SD. Bonus points for hand whisking their drinks! If you're in need of a nice place to park it and crank out some work, this is the place! It's pretty spacious inside and there are sooo many seating options. Only tip is to get there earlier because while there is tons of space, it fills up quickly. read more

- this plaza has gotten so popular and full of life since gotcha rebranded and easy does it opened up - still plenty of parking - we had no issue on a sunday afternoon - very kind and quick service! - the interior is huge and plenty of seating, perfect for studying/working or chatting (not sure about outlets since most tables were situated in the middle) - there's a case of pastry offerings and a small food menu offering bagels (1) matcha cloud ($7): really high quality smooth matcha! this one has a more savory almost seaweed taste to it (in the best way) and that paired well with the foam cloud which was slightly salty and so good read more
Matcha cloud latte was ok, but the croissant wasn't satisfying. The matcha cloud was on the lighter side and didn't have quite a robust earthy flavor. I enjoy matcha with a stronger flavor, so if it might be up your alley if you like it light. Also, the cloud foam made the matcha flavor dilute even more. Overall not bad, but not my preference. The croissant wasn't great. I got a plain croissant, but it had hints of the Chinese pork floss, with some pieces of sesame stuck on the bottom. It also was a little stale, prob because it's been sitting there all day, and wasn't flakey at all. I just wanted a plain, flakey, buttery croissant, but was left disappointed. read more
