Wasn't here that long, but still a very cute cafe. When I stopped by, lots of studiers filled the tables. The aesthetic and branding makes the space feel inviting, with lots to peruse. I like the lighting and use of decorative lamps. The projector menu is surprisingly crisp and easy to see, even with the slight shadow occasionally as they're taking orders or making drinks. The Mia-Mor was good, but I wish it had more of the earl grey flavor than the lavender. Still strong drink choice if you like floral flavors overall!
Delicious drinks made well. It's hard to find hojicha, and they do it well! Their matcha drinks are also very good. Kind of expensive, but their prices are pretty comparable to other cafes in San Diego. The space is pretty cool with a variety of seating options. Love that this can also be used as an event space for different types of crowds and activities.
Parking lot: spacious lot Interior: very big area to hang out. There's tons of tables and chairs. Tons of people that hang out. Nice vibe. People come here to study. Drinks: Passion fruit tonic expresso, Mia mor latte, sweet rice oolong ice tea. Nice and refreshing. From clovery (pop up in store): spam masubi focaccia, pumpkin bread, earl grey scone London fog, Christmas cookie.
Solid matcha that I would get again if in the area. The workers were kind and service was speedy. I enjoyed the woody, quaint ambiance of the inside of the cafe.
**August 2026: Sunday Afternoon Visit** My friend and I needed a spot with good Wi‑Fi to do some trip planning while we were in San Diego. He found Easy Does It, so we decided to check it out. The space felt like a college campus and library combined. It's really big, with lots of tables and chairs, but nothing felt cramped. There were cozy seating areas and even some couches, so it was easy to settle in for a while and was definitely the kind of place where people can chat, study, or work on their laptops. The vibe was perfect for what we needed, and the AC was blasting. There are two gender‑neutral bathrooms and plenty of parking, which was a nice bonus. I ordered the Matcha Cloud and swapped in oat milk. We found a spot to work at the back of the house. Honestly, this place is huge and a great spot to do work. For space and vibe, I'd give it 4 stars. My drink didn't taste memorable or like something I'd order again, but I think if I'm in the area I might be open to trying a different beverage. Overall, I'd give this place about 3.5 stars.
The Coconut Coffee Cloud was light, balanced and refreshing. The foam and coconut flakes on top added a nice texture to this drink. The barista was very attentive and answered my questions regarding the menu. This place is very large with plenty of seating and looks like a cool hangout or a place to work on your laptop. Definitely coming back to try the matcha.
Wow! If you are pretty particular about your matcha like I am, I would say that this is the place to go to! This might be my new favorite place for matcha in San Diego. If you are familiar with the Orange County cafe scene, this place feels like it can be one of those coffee shops based off the interior design, good quality of food and drinks, merchandise, overall ambiance, and more. The food and drinks I got were really delicious! There are a lot of spaces to study in the cafe with ports to charge your electronics and Wi-Fi. The service is great as well. If you are looking for something else to do after visiting the cafe, there is FotoOp, a cute photo-booth experience with a lot of different backgrounds!
Hugeee fan of easy does it- not only for the drinks, but just the vibes inside and community! Plenty of tables and natural lighting, it's the perfect place to study, work, or catch up with a friend. All the workers are really nice and helpful. They serve coffees, matchas, hojichas, and even wines! The hojicha was perfectly brewed and not too sweet. Will definitely be back here again!
I've been here a few times and never got to writing a review. I recommend this cafe for their matchas and other drinks. This time I got a Passionfruit matcha tonic. It was really refreshing and the two flavors blended really well together. Service was fast. I went on a Monday afternoon and there was no line. The cashier was really friendly and nice. My drink came out in less than five minutes. This is a really cute and quiet place to study. There's plenty of indoor seating. It's not too loud so it is a good place to study at. There is a little Mac computer by the entrance where you can take a photo. Parking can be a little bit tricky. Some spots are limited time with the green curb. I had to go around once or twice to find parking. Overall, I recommend this place and I would come back.
First time here, new matcha lover. Seriously so tasty here, I got the cloud matcha. It wasn't watered down at all and had amazing umami flavor. I believe they use Nami Matcha, long line goes by fairly quickly, lovely hangout spot with friends with a cozy chill ambiance. They also have cool mugs and little knick knacks for purchase if you're interested in their merch along with other small brands.
Super cute matcha place. This space is pretty big and I had came for a mahjong event. They have really cool decor on the store and looks like a really cool event place. I bet there is plenty of space to hang out during normal hours. Staff was super friendly and the drinks were good too. I came kind of late and got a non caffinated tea. Parking is pretty big but during the event time I'll was lucky to find a spot.
A spacious, study cafe with plenty of seating and some wall outlets. Came on a Friday morning, and it's generally pretty quiet because everyone is on their laptops working on something. A lot of solo workers! I visited with a friend just to chat, and while there's music playing in the background, I'm sure people could hear us chat lol. The seating in the back of the store opens at 10am BTW; when I got here at 10am, 99% of the seating in the main room was full. I ordered the Matcha Earl Grey ($6.50), and it was OK. I got it half sweetened (the earl grey was just part of the sweetener) and less ice. I could taste the lingering matcha, but not the earl grey. Overall it was a bit watery. The workers are kind, and the cafe itself is very clean. Lowkey kind of dark with lots of window light. Free wifi with password info next to the cashier. I'd come again to work, seems like you can stay here a long time unlike other cafes. I wouldn't suggest coming here to catch up with a friend---unless you're quiet. :)
It is a TRAVESTY... that I haven't yet written about the coffee shop I've dedicated my life to over the past year, because... well, like I said, you will always find me here! OVERVIEW Come for the equally balanced, delicious coffee AND matcha drinks; the spacious work setting; the side entertainment (like a free bookshelf + camp chairs outside), and incredible ownership. Be prepared for hard parking during peak hours (lunchtime) and possible lack of seats (especially during schooltime). DRINKS It is RARE to find a shop whose matcha is on par with its coffee; normally, one is better than the other. Easy Does It, or EDI as we affectionately call it, is pro at BOTH. With coffee served from Provecho, matcha from Nami and hojicha from Paru??? You just hit a trifecta of GOOD good. Our Typical Order: 1) Iced Earl Grey Latte - omg, I LOVE the earthiness that the earl grey syrup brings to the matcha. Matcha, to me, is either too grassy or too sweet; the earl grey syrup makes it a perfectly earthy balance. 2) Honey Cinnamon Latte - how good could a standard coffee shop latte be, you ask? They have the HCL at almost every shop, and it's not usually standout. EDI, again, blew expectations wide open. Their HCL is balanced: sweet without being saccharine; and you can actually taste the cinnamon. 3) Hojicha Latte, Hot - omg, there was a time when I ordered almost one of these A DAY. Again, another sleeper - if you like the taste of coffee but can't take the caffeine (for a late night drink, perhaps), a hojicha is a good choice. It has that grounded taste that coffee gives, and the hot version of it is like a HUG for your mouth and stomach. They also have cool inventive flavors like the Matcha Cloud, the Coconut Cream Cloud (which is a coffee cloud on top of coconut water, I hear it's refreshing), so you'll never get tired of the drinks they have here. I also want to mention that they do serve wine and beer, too... so there's something for everyone! FOOD Spend any time in a coffee shop and know... you're gonna get hungry! Thankfully, EDI has open-faced bagel sandwiches AND pastries here, all of which look mighty tasty; all of which I cannot partake in, since I am gluten free. But ohhh, gluten warriors unite! Thanks to the partnership that is Jacob of Made for Mei Mei Mochi (aka the protein mochi) and Easy Does It, you'll have your PICK of 5 different flavors of homemade, chewy, ooey, DELICIOUS MOCHI -- SANS added sugars and preservatives you normally find in the store. I'm telling you, I don't normally like mochi (it tends to be so sweet) but I love the texture. And Made for Mei Mei hits it all! Flavors include: 1) chocolate hazelnut -- which tastes like Ferrer Rocher, yum 2) ube 3) green tea / red bean 4) black sesame 5) pb&j (yes, he's stocked peanut butter & jelly, a fan-demanded flavor) My favorites are #1 and #4; sometimes I go for #2 and #5 to mix it up. Either way, I spend WAY too much on these tiny li'l treats I might as well become an early investor. AMBIENCE This place is perfect for computer work as light doesn't directly fill the whole space. I like a li'l shade when I'm staring at a bright computer screen. There are two rooms: front and back; the back is a li'l darker and more chill vibes than the front. I also appreciate that they have a free bookshelf (just replenish it with your own!), plus a few magazines scattered around (for decoration, but I still browse). I miss when coffee shops had analog media, especially for when we don't want to be glued to our screens. EXTRA CREDIT Easy Does It also offers their shop as space for community events. From mahjong with No Ambition Tile Club to wine and jazz nights IN SUM THANK YOU Easy Does It ~ Grace, Nancy, the sister I haven't met, Eugenia, and the entire team ~ for creating a lovely third space where I can work, enjoy my snacks / drinks, meet friends and co-work, and have a great conversation. You make it so easy to feel welcomed, and I'll forever be grateful for you :)

Very spacious coffee and tea shop with a small selection of baked goods. The coffee and tea were outstanding. I ordered a latte that tasted delicious, steamed milk to the right temperature, not scalding hot like they do at Starbucks! My friend ordered Hojicha tea that was also super tasty. Two thumbs up! read more

The matcha was good, but the cream on the Cloud Matcha was delicious! It was a little savory/salty, which I thought paired really well with the matcha. There's a lot of seating available with a good majority being workable spots (ones with high enough tables). Only issue is that some of the chairs were a little uncomfortable to sit on, especially for long periods of time. The music playing in the cafe was very nice, and the dim lighting gave the entire place a nice mood. Service was great and really friendly! Would come here again. read more

Great place to study and do work! Quite spacious! They could definitely add more tables, they have more than enough room! Drinks are excellent! Great quality although I do wish there was less ice and I wished there were larger cup sizes. It's kind of pricy for the size so hence one star deducted read more

This spot is still in soft opening, so there are a few things they are working on! :) That being said, this cafe is INCREDIBLE! They've got the aesthetics down, and their craft is impeccable. Once they fully open in August, they are bound for success. Right now, the seating is pretty scarce, but this is something they will be adjusting for their hard open. My boyfriend and I had to literally hunt for a seat to post up, they were going so fast! Aside from this, my only suggestions are to invest in a sticker system to avoid cup-writing, and to make a large, posted menu. These could be things they will include come August as they stated they currently have a limited menu for soft opening, but just throwing my ideas out there! :) As a barista myself, I've noticed that cup-writing can often slow down the pace and cause confusion amongst customers. While the idea is nice, stickers have become much more efficient, especially for spots like this that have gained popularity online. The lack of a posted menu board is a trend I've noticed lately among trendy cafes, and it's one I personally really dislike! Sure it allows for a more "cohesive" design aesthetic, but for new customers, it feels confusing. How are we supposed to know what we want to try before we get to the front of the line? Again, these are possibilities that could be in the works! As for the drinks themselves, again, these craft is flawless!! I got the matcha cloud while my boyfriend got the hojicha cloud, and both were absolutely delicious! The matcha is sourced from Paru, so of course it's incredible and smooth. The hojicha was nice and nutty with a bit of a smoky flavor, which paired really nicely with the salt cloud cap. The cap itself is also the BEST I have tried in SD, hands down. It's not overwhelmingly salty or creamy- absolutely perfect. Overall, I am very excited to come to this location again!! They have a lot of success ahead of them! read more

I love the customer service and they make great cortados. I appreciate their silverware which i think are very unique and fitting for the name. Easy Does It is a cafe that has its own unique charm that i think makes it attractive. You can really feel that this place has a mixture of working/socializing which is interesting compared to other places i have been. There are plenty of seatings and even when it gets busy you can get a spot eventually after 5-10minutes. They also have a nice selection of baked goods and their bagels are good! read more

Soooo good!! I am a big matcha drinker so I look for matcha spots wherever I visit. Easy Does It's matcha cloud was everything I need in a good matcha: balanced sweetness, creamy, yet still has a good matcha flavor. The interior was very clean and minimalist and the workers were very nice. I'd come here again when visiting San Diego. read more

such a sweet and aesthetic cafe, definitely making it one of my new go-to coffee, matcha, and work from home spots. the workers are all so friendly and conversational. love the shop's story and how they've been experimenting and growing their menu, which includes bagels / bagel sandwiches now! the classic latte was delicious, and their coffee cloud drink with coconut water was very refreshing and super unique! will definitely be back to spend more time inside the shop on work days to enjoy the drinks, food, and plenty of seating and wifi inside, which many others also seem to enjoy! read more

matcha was not too strong but overall good my friend gave it 7.5/10 and I got the hojicha cloud. That was pretty good, string flavor, slightly grainy 8.5/10. No seating (came at 2:30), easy to find parking and the wait for our drink was around 6 minutes read more

The matcha here is solid! You can really taste the umami-ness and earthy tones of their matcha without the cream top or milk overpowering it. It's such a cute cafe and the staff are sooooo nice and friendly here. The lines can get long sometimes, so I usually like to go earlier during the day. But one of the few cafes in SD that does matcha right!!! read more
