Haha I've been there twice now and worked with Tara both times on selecting bathroom fixtures/colors/textures etc. She is so knowledgeable and has saved us so much time trying to figure out the website and how to build our project as well as how to order everything. She's super honest as well and doesn't try to upsell. She also has great suggestions and has made our lives dramatically easier. Ferguson has so much to choose from, including hundreds, maybe thousands of items not on the floor, but in different colors, sizes and formats. Even their signature line is amazing - and so well priced. Plus most everything is under warranty and if an item gets damaged upon receipt or in transit, they'll stand behind it. I love that. He told me that none of the items are refurbished or used. They are all brand new with a cosmetic defect here or there. That's it. In fact, some were so small that I couldn't find any issues with them. I saw some really good deals and some "OK" deals. When I spoke to the store manager, she said they were negotiable despite the price tag, which I thought was great. Ultimately we got a great deal at Costco, so we didnt end up purchasing anything from here, but I recommend it if youre trying to save hundreds and ok with small, sometimes barely noticeable cosmetic damage. Just make sure you look up the model number online to compare what it's being sold new. Some of the items weren't competitively priced.

I would not recommend this business…read more I contacted them this past January when my over-the-range microwave stopped working. The evaluation cost $85. It turned out I needed a new microwave; Ahmad said the magnetron had failed. I purchased a brand-new microwave of the exact same model and paid $160 to have Ahmad install it. Fast forward to July, and the house is being sold. An inspector hired by the buyers finds that the vent fan is not routing through the duct and outside the house as it should be. I contact Ahmad, explain the situation, and even send a photo of a diagram provided by the inspector. Ahmad asks me to remind him of the microwave model and confirms he will "make sure it's venting out of the current duct system." There is no confusion about what I'm asking for or what he's working with. He agrees to fix it--for $195. I'm already unhappy about this because the vent fan issue should have been addressed at installation, but I agree because we moved away months prior, I need to meet a deadline, and am coordinating from abroad. My husband and I debate whether this is a problem of inexperience (my generous view) or an intentional scam (his). The repair day comes, our realtor lets Ahmad in, and eventually I receive a text that it's completed. I pay immediately. The relief is short-lived. A few days later, the buyers return and discover the microwave is in fact NOT venting through the duct. They go outside--no airflow at the vent. I contact Ahmad again. He tells me he can fix it, but it will cost an ADDITIONAL $295. At this point I tell him that's unacceptable, because we agreed the problem would be fixed at the last visit for the $195 I already paid--keep in mind this should have been done at the initial installation. He says they didn't know this model would need additional work. But he knew the model in advance, so that's a poor excuse. I was also never informed at any point that the repair needed further servicing. They didn't check their own work. I ask for a refund and am told it "wouldn't make sense" because of the "work" that was already "completed." However, our realtor said Ahmad was there for 20 minutes, and as we've established, he did NOT fix the issue. No work was actually done. I ended up calling another repair person. When I explained the issue, he asked me to clarify whether this was a new microwave installation. I said the microwave was new but was installed by another company. He said, "They didn't install it properly." Yeah, I know. By the way, the second repair person's quote was $195. Compare that to Ahmad's total of $490--on top of the $160 I paid at installation. My husband may have been right after all, but either way I believe this situation was handled unethically by The Appliance Pros. I regret hiring them.

Anyway because it's a small nursery and open 7 days a week, it's a good idea to call if you're planning to make a long journey to visit just to make sure they haven't stepped out. It's usually fine but I see people on other reviews have come in from far away without calling and it's just a good idea to call if it's a mom and pop nursery and you have a long drive. My favorite fruit was white sapote, cherimoya, the bazillions of types of guavas they have, ice cream bean was delicious, and I never knew palms have delicious fruit (what????). I come about twice a year from San Diego and as San Diego nurseries go, this place is in a league of its own. I even just like walking around in there to relax cause it's almost like a fruit botanical garden. And some of the small stuff is very affordable Highly recommend if you have a few hours free to explore this place. It's a great nursery -- kinda like the Garden of Eden!
