I initially contacted this company to service my ice machine and was told it required a complete replacement. I made several attempts to call back and order the new machine but could never get through. After repeated failed attempts, I was forced to contact another company. Months later... 6 months to be exact they are charging me a $95 trip charge! That's a scam to me!!! read more

Jason has been my "go to" appliance guy for years. Time to reach out as to why. He is always on time, works efficiently and has always had an answer to my issues. Stove & washer, dryer all have been serviced by him. I can't say enough how fair Protech Appliance is with their pricing. I would recommend this company all day long! Should have posted a review sooner ! read more

Quick service--they arrived within a day and the technician was very nice. He installed a cosmetic part in under 5 minutes, but I was surprised to be charged $140, especially since we had already researched the issue and purchased the part ourselves. Overall, if you value fast service, this company might be a good choice, but it has me looking for a different go-to appliance repair resource. read more

Our dryer died and we called ProTech. The business was quick to respond and scheduled us on April 3rd, just the day we needed. After speaking to the tech, we found out our dryer belt had bit the dust. The tech working on our dryer was friendly, knowledgeable and overall great at his job. The belt was promptly replaced. This is the second time we've used ProTech. We also used them for our microwave years back. We will continue to use them because they provide a great service. Thank you! read more

Been relying on Jason at Protech Appliance for decades. Most honest, reliable, diligent, knowledgeable go-to appliance repair expert you could hope to find. Yesterday our dryer quit working, and Jason basically on the phone walked me through the steps to figure out if it was repairable or not (it wasn't), and we knew it was time to buy a new one (after getting 15 years out of the one we had, and he kept going for us over the past few years). Honest to a fault and treats you like a friend. Reasonable, too. He's repaired about every kitchen appliance in our house, and can bring in who might be needed to get the job done on complex refrigerator/freezer issues, hot water heater replacements, etc. 100% recommended. read more

My old Kenmore washer needed service, and after calling several different repair outfits with no availability. I called Protech to come and service my washer. The person servicing the washer arrived on time and was able to fix the washer in about 15 minutes. I was hoping that he would check the other washer components in case there was some corrosion/wear since it had been a few years since it's last service call. However the person was not interested in talking to me further and seemed to be in a hurry to leave. The charge was a bit higher than I expected, but as mentioned before they were the only appliance service company currently available this week. Based on this experience I will not use them again even through I am planning to get a few other appliances repaired. read more

This company is top notch. Our refrigerator malfunctioned. Jason sent Xavier over the next morning. He quickly diagnosed the problems, ordered parts, and came back for a full repair. It is now functioning better than new (it has never worked correctly since day one). I called several appliance companies to convert my clothes dryer to propane at our new house. Other companies couldn't tell me when they'd get the part in and were significantly more expensive. Jason got the part we needed in a couple days, came to do the repairs promptly & quickly, and was super reasonably priced. Will absolutely call him again for future appliance repair. read more

I searched high and low for someone to service my Samsung fridge. Quotes from others just to come look were in the 3 figures. There are not enough good things to say about my experience with this company. I rent a house and my landlord has always been difficult, so he finally got a management company that hired ProTech to come fix my Non Working Microwave. Xavier was amazing, first meet he explained everything that was going on and what needed to be done. He had to come back a few times to get some things done and each time he was so nice, so informative and so helpful. I personally dont know anything about what was wrong with the fridge or the microwave, but Xavier made it all very understandable. If you want knowledge and a job well done, go to ProTech and ask for Xavier. Thank you guys so much for all the work. read more

Jason came to repair a refrigerator after I had had a very bad experience with a flakey repair service. Jason was amazing. New what was wrong and was able to source parts while at my house to give me costs. The parts replacement included a new freezer door and the two rails for the door which were expensive, so I am going to buy a new one. But Jason was knowledgeable, willing to educate me, and easy to talk to. He was honest about cost and his pricing was fair. So glad I got the chance to meet him because now if I need appliance repair, I know where to go. Highly recommend!!! Oceanside, CA read more

My 11 year old dryer stopped spinning. I called Pro Tech. Jason set up the appointment. Xavier arrived early. He quickly diagnosed the issue. He called to confirm that the local place had the needed part. He drove there and back and had the unit repaired 10 minutes after (if that)! Pretty awesome! The price was a steal compared to buying a new unit. Looks like I found my go-to crew to fix my stuff! read more

My whirlpool Duet dryer started making noise and this is the only company I called. Jason gave me up front pricing and we had a tech out for diagnostics. His technician called me 20 minutes prior to his arrival and was on time. I live in a condominium with very little guest parking. Often service people block garage doors, not Protech. He parked on the street without being asked. He was polite, wore a mask and answered all of questions. Unfortunately, the repair was more than expected and we decided to purchase a new one. We were only charged the diagnostic fee and were told buying a new one was best. I am so happy my only call was the right one, and we will call again if need be. read more

Absolutely awesome service and incredible expertise in all appliances! This company has fixed my washer, my refrigerator, my dishwasher, my refrigerator in a second aspect , and has saved me thousands of dollars in having to replace appliances! I want to say that initially my experience with their service technicians was friendly and prompt. August. My Bosch condenser dryer needed to have its drain hose reattached and I was not confident that I had done it right. I had prepared wet clothing so we could be sure it was draining. The tech did not wait long enough. Not draining. Next tech came out, said I needed a new drain pump. (machine is 3 years old). Next appt. they made with "wrong" tech so I had to wait another five days. I asked if I might get moved up, they said I would have to talk with a supervisor, who would call me. No call. Sump pump replaced, again I had prepped clothes for drying, he stuck his hand in and said: It is heating, and left. Machine was not draining. Another appointment another week later. I missed the call that he was on his way, so he didn't come, and admonished me that if I didn't answer next time he wouldn't come again. He returned, removed the sump pump, admitted he had installed it incorrectly, I asked him to wait to be sure it was draining, and as he waited, and it was indeed draining, the machine cut out. At the end of this saga, it turned out the moisture sensor was failing. He called and the company said it would be four weeks in the warehouse. He also suggested I call Bosch and tell them what is going on with the 3 year old machine. (I spent another fruitless morning trying to get through to them). Yesterday, I called to see the status, I was told it is still backordered (and these are indeed tough times to be looking for parts) I asked if I might know the part they are waiting for on the off chance I could find it somewhere else. I am probably more motivated than ProTech to find a part for my machine. After being put on hold for 15 minutes, I was sent to a voicemail. It has been 2 1/2 months. I have been charged for a first visit and a new sump pump and labor and do not have a working machine. Each visit I had to provide rags for the technicians to clean up and to remind them to replace parts they had removed from the machine back into the machine before closing it up. I only recommend that you stay with the technicians every step of the way. I will not use names, as the techs were both friendly and seemed to be knowledgeable with the help of their cell phone apps and calls to the office support team. read more

This company is both honest and educated. I reached out to Jason for a quote to repair my refrigerator. He was the only decent person to provide me with details that the compressor on my fridge would still be under warranty. I went out to a few contractors and he was the ONLY one to share this information with me. There aren't many people like him out there anymore! read more

Having a technical background myself, I did most of my own troubleshooting and found what I believed to be the problem with my refrigerator. After calling 5 different places and getting a combination of "We don't service Samsung Refrigerators" to "We have no clue what parts our techs carry on their vehicles and can't give you a quote over the phone", I finally got ahold of Jason at ProTech. I explained the problem, what I had done to troubleshoot it, and what I believed the cause of the problem was. He verified a few things with me, and he agreed that it sounded likely to be this issue, but then had me pull up trouble codes on the refrigerator and looked them up for me. After reviewing what the error was, there were a few other possible causes to my problem, and I just happened to have one of the parts on hand from an order I had made previously when I had an issue years back and had suspected the part of going bad. I replaced the part, and now everything is working fine. The fact that Jason took the time out of his day to answer my questions, and was able to give me a price and availability quote on replacing the component I believed was bad, when nobody else would, made me willing to pay him to come out and fix my appliance, regardless of what his pricing may have been. Add to it, the fact that he was able to walk me through some troubleshooting procedures, and I was able to resolve the issue over the phone is even better! I'd highly recommend Jason to anyone for his great customer service skills alone. I'm sure to use him in the future, should I come across any issues with any of my appliances again! read more

RUDE RUDE RUDE!!! With SO many appliances techs and business around you would think they would be more polite on the phone!! Would NOT quote a simple problem over the phone, and lied about the cost of the diagnostic! Was quoted on the phone $50 to come LOOK at the machine when their website quotes $20 that would be APPLIED to the repair! For someone claiming to be "Pro" you think they would INVEST some time into proof reading their webpage. Taken directly from their site; "All warranty is void if the appliance is serviced by an unlicensed individual, is found to be disassembled or invested with rodents." Will not be recommending this company to anyone. read more

Went through Angies list to find someone to install all of my appliances the day they would be delivered. Made an appointment with Jason over a week before expected delivery. Day before I gave him a courtesy call to remind him of the arrival of my appliances. Called him again after the appliances were delivered and texted him. No response! Not only did he not show up, he also would not return my calls! I had to wait a few days until another company was able to fit me in. Jason is Very unprofessional and unreliable. read more

We called Jason this morning to ask if he could install a front loader gasket or bellow that was leaking. This scared our regular appliance guy, but Jason came over te same afternoon and installed it in about 15 mins. Then just because he was here we thought we would ask him to take a look at our fridge that has been a little too warm inside even after cleaning coils etc Jason took a 5 minute look and showed us that the fan was no longer working. He offered to bring a GE motor and install for tomorrow, giving us a great price for both repairs! Honestly Sears would have just us more for just taking a look at the washer. Knows what he is doing, doesn't mess around and honest prices. Try Jason first. read more

We LOVE Jason!! This review is LONG overdue. He has been our "go-to" for all things related to appliances for many, many years. He is fantastic at what he does and is always reliable. Every time I put in a request for a service appointment, he gets back to me quickly. He knows that our home appliances are items that we use on a near everyday basis so he does his best to schedule appointments quickly. Over the years, he has serviced our refrigerator, dishwasher, washer and dryer and garbage disposal. He does a great job. We will never turn to someone else for our appliance needs. We've hit the jackpot with Jason. I should also note that we trust him explicitly. We feel very comfortable having him in our home. He is also very kind and a pleasure to chat with. He always answers my questions thoroughly and makes sure that I understand what's going on with my appliances. He is truly the best! We will never purchase a "service agreement" with Sears, Lowes or Best Buy when buying something new because we know our service will be better and faster with Jason. If you're looking for someone to service your appliances, look no further than Jason with ProTech Appliance. You won't regret it! Thanks for everything, Jason! read more

I went through Angies List to find Pro Tech Appliance. I called Jason and gave him a brief description of the problem concerning my stove. When you turned the stove to conventional bake it would not heat. Jason gave me a window of what time he could come by my house. He went straight to work and had a diagnosis within about 30 minutes. The igniter was bad. Jason had it replaced in about 20 minutes. The charge for diagnosis, parts and labor were very reasonable. He was very nice and professional. The bad part were my three dogs barking constantly. I would recommend him and will probably use him again in the future. I find Angies List better than Home Advisor. Better priced and the companies are easy to deal with in my opinion. read more

Well, OK... So my front load washing machine broke down. Mid cycle no less. Great, just great. So now I have a washer on my hands, full of clothes, soap, and dirty water that is making a humming noise and... it's broke I actually called another company first. I know, dumb, right? After calling three times over two days with no return call, I thought... Don't lie, you know exactly what I thought. So, Based on the reviews that are here, I call Protech, The phone is answered on the second ring, and lo and behold, there it is! A real live human on the line! Jason. Jason is on the line! What? No machine/recording/voice mail? No call center in who-knows-where? No way. No. Freekin'. Way. So I say hi, how you doing, hope you're having a good day, my washer is broke. Jason listened to my issue attentively, knew exactly the model of washer I had without asking for the model number, he was a really nice guy, and a appointment was scheduled for the following day. The technician arrived at the agreed upon time, and after introductions and a handshake immediately set to work on the problem at hand, diagnosing it in a matter of minutes. I offered them a refreshment, lemonade, coffee, OJ, root beer? They politely declined, but really, I mean, who doesn't like root beer??? But I digress... The tech, Pedro, did not have the part available, but he ordered, received, and installed it the following business day, once again, in a very timely manner. So now I'm thinking, it's almost like these guys know what they are doing! I once again offered them a refreshment, lemonade, coffee, OJ, root beer, and again, they politely declined, but, I mean, really, who doesn't like root beer??? But I digress. Again... So, to make a long story longer, Protech is top notch in my book and I will keep their number in my Roll-O-Dex (oops, sorry, no one knows what a Roll-O-Dex is anymore), Uhhh... smart phone, so I can call again if I am ever in need of someone to repair any appliance I might have. Thanks Jason and Pedro. Great job. 5 stars! I'm still kind of at a loss how someone could turn down a root beer though... read more

I emailed around 10:00pm on Tuesday evening requesting an appointment. I assumed it would be within a week or so, not even close. Jason called me around 12:00pm Wednesday and said I can have someone there within the hour. Xavier showed up and was nicely dressed, he was friendly and HONEST!! He was a very genuine young man and he really knew what he was doing. I had a company come out to fix my dishwasher and they played around with it and charged me $120 and when they left the dishwasher was still not working properly. So, when Xavier told me he could fix the problem for $120 I was very skeptical but he fixed it. It works perfectly now. I will definitely request Xavier again if I need any appliance repairs. Please choose this company!!! There are so many companies that screw you over and it was so refreshing to deal with Protech Appliance. read more

Jason has been out to my place on multiple occasions, it seems that almost every one of my appliances has needed some sort of repair. He has fixed my freezer, dryer and washer. I am impressed with his professionalism, cleanliness and general knowledge of a variety of appliances. His troubleshooting is very efficient and he doesn't waste any time. He has good availability, and is prompt in returning phone calls and is flexible to work with your schedule. He understands new and old appliances and I never felt as if he was over-charging me or taking advantage of my appliance ignorance. He does quality work and is kind and respectful when in your house. I would highly recommend him. read more

I called pro tech back in July 2021. Their technician Alex came over to try and fix my refrigerator that kept freezing over. All he did was remove the ice and fill it with freon. I told him I don't think that's the issue, so over the next 3 months alex kept coming back to fix it because it did not fix it right the first time. And cost me several hundreds in food. I then got sick with Covid and was hospitalized, when I came home refrigerator was doing the same thing. I called them back and they did not want to fix it because they said I was out of warranty. I told them I have proof that I was in the hospital. I then told them I wanna speak with the main person and they said they will have him call me. But I've yet to receive a call. Bad experience they never fixed my refrigerator right and then they said I was out of warranty for the same issue on the refrigerator because time had let time pass. They came out a total of 3 times for the same issue. Then they want to screw me over with warranty when I have proof I was in the hospital. Stay away from this place, bad managers and horrible technicians. read more

This is the second time I have had Jason out to work on my Bosch Appliances. The first time it was my dryer and this time it was the washing machine. 1st time customer. Jason exceeded expectations. My washer was in need of repair. I sent him a video of the problem and he showed up to appt with the part ready to go. I called Pro-tech based on the great reviews on Yelp. Jason answered the phone right away, I did not have to talk to a voice mail and wait fora call back. He was very knowledgeable. Appointment was easy to schedule and the tech showed up on time. The Tech spent less than an hour to unclog a refrigerator drain. It was a flat fee of $120. Other appliance repairmen called me back after I had already scheduled with Pro-tech, and the fee they charge for a clogged drain is between $85 and $95. I did not mind paying extra for a prompt response but it bothered me a great deal that the tech left his fingerprints all over the frig and was ready to leave. I asked him if he were going to clean it up before leaving. He said NO. I asked again if he was kidding. He said that he did not have cleaning products. I took wet paper towels and cleaned it up myself. This was very unpleasant, unprofessional and unnecessary. I also wish that the tech would have explained the warranty to me. I should not have to ask as many don't think to ask. I hope the tech did a good job but after the awful parting impression he left, I am not very confident. read more
