He asked the right questions to get a better understanding of what we were looking for and steered us in the right direction. He also knew we were just starting the process and didn't pressure us into a sale. After hitting up another 5-6 stores, we discovered their prices were in line with the big box stores and the personal touch of a local team, and keeping dollars in our community is well worth a few extra dollars you may spend at a big box store. The ONLY reason we didn't buy here was because we had $200 in a big box gift card that was hard to pass up. Recently a new side by side Fridgedaire fridge. Delivered by Antonio and Enrique. These two guys care about doing a good job, called with an ETA AND were true to their word. They were careful not to scratch the floor and final took their time advising on starting the new fridge. My front loading washing machine was leaking and she gave me advice (clean gasket by door to ensure the seal wasn't compromised, even by hair), and sure enough that was the issue. Well, you always may not get the best price if you compare them to a major box store, You'll certainly get the best service. They don't carry every brand but if they do carry it, they'll be very helpful in making sure you get it as quickly as possible. We were updating our kitchen and we were able to get several KitchenAid items we needed Through Costco, but one item they did not carry and I knew that Yingst would be able to take care of getting it ordered for me. I went in a couple of hours after our refrigerator's ice and water stopped working. Saw some good options and wasn't sure if I wanted to replace the whole fridge yet. Well we had family visiting and were hosting my son's 18th graduation party the very next day. We woke up to our fridge and freezer not working at all. I called Yingst first thing and worked with Ryan and a woman who answered the phone (sorry didn't catch her name) and asked if I could get the fridge that Wayne Reyes showed me the day before. Not only they have a large selection of washers/dryers in stock (yes, even during the Covid pandemic), they also have a repair service/workshop on site. We were shopping around for a new dishwasher, and were especially interested in a Bosch model. Casey walked me through the pros and cons of each model, answered all my questions, and addressed any concerns I had. He was knowledgeable, patient, honest, and thorough. I especially appreciated that he never tried to upsell me to something I didn't need or truly want, and seemed genuinely interested in getting me the best machine for my and my family's needs. I ended up getting a Bosch 300 series dishwasher. Delivery and installation team came out today, spent an hour total getting the old unit out and the new one installed properly. Enrique and Raul were friendly, professional, and thorough. Enrique even installed an extra adapter box for the Bosch unit to be hardwire. I could tell it wasn't an easy process, but he never complained. I definitely appreciate the care and respect they showed to me and my home. We have an electric dryer (Maytag) that squealed like a mashed cat. I tried everything to quite it down, nothing worked. I watched You Tube videos until I fell asleep. Finally I remembered Yingst from when I lived in Vista back in the early 70s. I called their appliance repair number and a real person answered without sending me through various options. I describe the squealing noise and she said a repair person would call me at 0800 on Friday the 25th. Sure enough the rescue call came thru at 0755. They gave me a time window of 1100-1300 on the 25th. Sure enough at 1100 a gorilla sized guy rang my door bell and said my name is Matt. Within minutes he diagnosed the problem and produced a replacement part from his truck. The dryer was laying in many parts affirming my good judgement that I did not try it myself. Matt replaced the idler wheel and vacuumed the field of dryer dust and put it all back together. Great job and all in a matter of minutes. He must be the best! read more

Unfortunately given our house setup did not buy from them... the only option they had that would fit was the speed queen dryer - we needed a 27" wide machine... but would certainly visit again. This was my first time getting an appliance at an independent retailer like Yingst and not a Home Depot/Lowes. I was really surprised to see that their appliances were essentially the same price as any big box store. Not only that, their install/haul away charge was about $60 cheaper! Within one week we had a dishwasher and washing machine installed. Problems with our older power source for the dishwasher forced our tech to improvise in the safest and most efficient manner that resulted in a perfect fit. He took his time, never rushing or getting flustered. We could not be more pleased! The washing machine was installed in about 15 minutes by two techs who took the greatest of care so's to not scratch the unit (tight space) and had it hooked up in no time. We've had problems with our GE clothes dryer so I call them has they also have repair people.I talked to a lady that was not very pleasant and honestly gave the impression that she could care less and told me they don't repair GE products. These people were complete a$$hles. We needed a new washer. The exact one that was closest to ours was recommended to us by a repair guy from another company. Since I have co-morbidities we just ordered it over the phone though Yingst. The salesperson was nice enough, but we specifically asked for ONE thing beforehand, and that was that the delivery people wear masks. We were told it would not be a problem. Well, evidently it was. Not only did they refuse to wear masks coming into our home, one of them was defiant and a real a$$hle about it. We were livid. We weren't asking for his fkn vote, we asked that he wear a mask for 30-40 min. while in OUR home that we were PAYING him for, so that I don't get sick and die. But, no. His temporary inconvenience was more important than my life. Had we been told they would refuse to wear masks when we initially asked and were told yes, we would have ordered from somewhere else. I immediately called and talked to the owner after they left. I was livid. While he wasn't defensive, (at least), I didn't feel any sense of that anyone would be held accountable for it. He was more speechless than anything else. He said he didn't know what to say, that he doesn't require his people wear masks and that they should have called him. I had to ask him to actually look on our ticket to see that it was notated there. It was. At first he was going to hang it on the sales person. Why? Because he reasonably figured that someone could put on a freaking mask at our request for 40 min.? No. Not good. I told him that this rests with his delivery people. He did say the buck stops with him. I appreciate that, but I don't really feel much satisfaction except that he was professional enough not to defend the actions of his people. My guess is, since there was absolutely no follow-up, that his delivery people will continue to be the a$$hls that they were to us, not giving a sht about anyone but themselves. I would never use this place again. At the very least I would have wanted to know that his delivery people were disciplined. I don't give a crap what the political affiliation is from anyone who I hire to do a job, but WE paid THEM. I have co-morbidities that could be *very* bad for me to get covid. The request was simple. All they had to do was say no they weren't willing before we gave them our credit card number and we would have gone elsewhere. I don't think that's the reason, in fact, I believe if the owner knew he would have just told them to wear masks, but ultimately the buck does stop with him in how he handles this situation with the people who couldn't give a rat's ass about my health in MY home, when taking MY money. Not knowing, whether as to how he would handle it when we were talking, or following up, makes me feel like it was pretty much no consequences at all. And, of course, the owner didn't feel bad enough to give me a refund for the service call. read more
