Honest mechanics, honest shop with superior service , integrity and care and best prices. They back their work up and hire the most experienced mechanics and staff. Ask for Alex Kaftajian, and he will make sure you are taken care of and the work is done with the utmost skill, This June, I had a nightmare brakes issue on that I had taken my car to my family mechanic in Plano. The mechanic there quoted me $500.00 over labor and parts market rate! Pardon me but @$!@#$? And then another, it was similar. Moreover, I had already had work done the mechanics would not honor. I was very much in a bind. What was I going to do? Pay 899.00-- 900.00 for work that had no guarantee? Nope! I thought i would never resolve the issue . I will pay for labor that is worth it, but I draw the line at allowing exploitation. Pissed-off at getting taken advangtage of in a time of great need by condescending and smug mechanics acting more like vultures than humans, I asked my church and former UT Austin classmates around Dallas who was the most experienced and honest mechanic. Several named Alex at Meineke. Many had gone to him in Carrollton and had their cars towed to Richardson when he switched, So I did what others suggested, and paid Triple A to tow the car to Richardson to Meineke, asked for Alex and prayed. Sure enough! Superior service, friendly, helpful. Perfect results and excellent people with integrity. I want reliable, honest and skilled, and that is what they are. I visited this business with a bolt in my flat tire in need of a tire repair. Since I also needed…read morean emissions check and an oil change, I asked to get that completed while I was there. Keep in mind the name of this business is Turbo Tire. I sat in their dirty waiting area with 3 stray kittens that the owner kept kicking and yelling at for about 30 minutes until my vehicle was pulled out. After looking at my tire I noticed that the bolt was still in it and my tire was still flat. I tried to talk to the owner, but another gentleman stepped in and told me the business down the street repairs tires. They did not complete the emission check either. This seemed like a very shady operation that I will not frequent again.

The night when I dropped the jeep off, you stated that you would diagnose the problem with the starter by checking that the jeep was properly grounded. I told you that I already had the device hooked up at autozone to run the standard scan and you said that there are things you can check to diagnose the starting problem beyond that. 2 When I arrived at the shop at noon today, I was in good spirits. You were not ready for me to pick up the jeep. I assume because you had not diagnosed the starter at all at that point. My belief is that you then hurriedly went to the jeep and hooked the same scanner to it that I said I had already used, and that you decided that you would base your entire diagnosis of the problem off of that scan since you did not plan your time properly to do the entire diagnostic process you had described to me the night before. 3 I was in good spirits, until I saw that you added a $60 charge for diagnosing the starting problem when A) you could not duplicate the problem to begin diagnosis and B) you did not perform the detailed check of the grounding and the other modules in question (pcm, chip sensor, ignition switch) as we had discussed Therefore you charged me the full price of your starter diagnostic for simply plugging the device I told you I was not interested in from the beginning and without reproducing the problem OR performing the other diagnostic checks you had outlined 4 when it came time to pay, you were not accommodating regarding the coupon I left at home which was only for a $25 savings and compared your shop to major big box stores regarding your policies for adjusting the cost without the coupon being presented. This all came , after discussing the coupons with you in great detail and asking how they were applied on the phone before scheduling the diagnostic. I also, mentioned during that phone conversation, that the only reason I was coming to you was because of the coupons and the flyer. To make matters worse, you did not offer to allow me to go home and retrieve the coupon, even though I was dropped off with no transportation and it became awkward enough that your female employee ended up offering this, which I politely turned down on principle. 5 when you ran my card, the chip was worn out on it, so you would have to swipe the card to allow it to process. I let you know that the chip was worn out (there are thousands of dollars in that account) and your only response was that I could walk to an ATM I find it fascinating that your motto is "your dealership service and repair alternative" while your shop holds many of the same attributes as a dealership, in the following ways A) a non-conservative approach to repair (i.e. you insist that u-joints (driver side) should be replaced during the upper and lower ball joint repair, even if they aren't worn) B) you talk a lot about the different diagnostics you will perform and then use a handheld scanner and charge me $60 for that, like a dealership C) you compare your policies and method of operation to Walmart when I asked for an adjustment on the cost of the services not performed (or forgot my coupon), which shows me that you prefer operating like a big business, unfriendly, in & out car dealership. D) write long letters to CyA for legal purposes after the diagnostic services After learning these facts about your operation, I am surprised to see such good reviews about your shop online (although there can always be a first negative review). I can only assume that you are overwhelmed with the rich, mechanically challenged demographic from some select parts of Terrell and that you are selling them or up-selling them on parts they don't really need or services that were not fully performed. I assume that they just haven't noticed. This is all very similar to the way the big car dealership departments operate their business.

I'm reviewing the experience of coming here for a state inspection (just emissions since safety…read moreisn't a thing anymore). An auto shop has no business looking this good. The waiting area is the nicest I have ever seen and has some soft drinks, a Keurig, and lollipops for the kids. It smells amazing, is nicely decorated, and has comfortable seating. The staff is very friendly. From my chat with them, they don't do body work or transmission rebuilds (but will do replacement). I am not speaking to the quality of their work since I'm not familiar with anything beyond the inspection, but would absolutely get a quote from them if it means I can sit here and get some work done!
