The next day they had my vehicle and they diagnosed it. The engine was blown or at least had a major defect and needed to be replaced. They didn't try to upsell me just to get money. I'm coming to these guys for five years and was recommended this company by my brother-in-law who's been coming to them for a minimum of 10 years. Respectful, trustful and honest in an industry that is not always that way. I've been a mechanic since the 80s and I would recommend this company to anybody.

It seems that I was wearing my ring of invisibility when I went there, because I stood there for 15 minutes while the manager answered the phone twice, kept on typing, and didn't acknowledge me even once. When I finally got her attention, she said I would have to leave my car until the end of the day (6 hours!) for a tire change. What a night and day difference between Firestone and Pep Boys. I was greeted within a minute of walking in. I was told I would be next in line to get my tire worked on. Blaise first told me about the low price tires, rather than steering me to the most expensive ones. Then, he walked me over to the tire rack to see what the tread looked and felt like. Impressive. I got one of the Kelly tires, which was high quality and about $100 installed. And, it was fast! I'm not kidding: there was about half an hour from the time I walked in the door to the time I left with a new tire on my car. And, since it's Pep Boys, it's also a fully stocked (and surprisingly clean) auto parts store. I'll definitely come back for my tire needs, but the massive selection of parts means I'll be back again for more mundane things, too.

This happened 3 times in a row for the same problem. They claimed to put a new engine in the car and my car shut down on me while I was driving the same day I picked it up from their shop. Before that they said it was an electrical issue, a coolant leak, and ignition coil. When they claimed to say that was the problem I paid them to fix it and I had to tow it back to them the very next day because my car wouldn't crank, that's when they said it was my head gasket and I needed a new engine. My car still doesn't work. It broke down on me the very same day they claimed to fix it and put the new engine in. I have paid them almost $5000 and my car is still not running.
