The order was ready when I arrived. They did so well under pressure and the sandwiches were generous and well done and so enjoyable. Even though they forgot to toast or I forgot to mention, the focaccia bread was fabulous and they were working under pressure of the lunch time orders. My order was ready for our beach trip and they were all so kind. The cookies for dessert and the wonderful veggies that can be added were great. They were generous with the meat. The ability to individualize the sandwiches is great;

They have a line for ordering and a line for paying. But they don't let you pay until your sandwich is done. So when it's busy what happens is your sandwich is done and then you have to get in a long line and wait when you could've been paid and out of there. Only way to counter this is to order online which you don't always think to do. Annoying problem that could easily be solved with common sense. There's also always like 15 people working and they still take a while to make your sandwich even if they're mildly busy. Then, like everyone else they flip around the iPad on you and ask you for a 25% tip while people are behind you in line also waiting for their sandwiches that have been sitting there for 10 minutes

Then when I returned they were like "no problem- give me more money and I can fix your situation. The manager I spoke with in the second occassion was not satisfactory. Love the food / but the service is NOT good. And the response to the customer is dreadful. PS If I could give negative stars I would. We have always loved Mac's for its food (particularly the chowder) and fresh fish - although I also loved getting my fish at the Friendly fisherman. But the service and food, coupled with your service several days ago (see previous review), leaves me saying that we will say goodbye to Mac's until they address the staff issues (manager, as well as those taking the orders) and the quality of their food. Today, after getting my order wrong, which I went abck to get the missing items after getting home, I returned home again with the chowder they had left out only to have my son say that his fish tacos (Tuna) were raw. They were truly raw. When I returned to the store to tell them, the state person at the window said they did not like to overcook the fish b/c people complain. I said I understood that but what I am talking about is raw fish served to my son. She got the manager. When I addressed the issue with him, he said they'd get me another order but I'd need to wait 15 min. I said I really did not want the order, I would look a refund for the inedible food. He said he would not do that, powered, hard stop, and then added I was just trying to get 'free food' at which point I said an exasperated WTF - which prompted him to tell me to stop using profanity. When I asked for the phone number for the health department he told me I'd have to look that up on my own. When I originally said I was not happy they had messed up a take out order on two separate occasions - he pointed to his staff and said, why 'these are just kids' - all of them were over 21 and most well over 21. The manager needs to do a better job of working with their customers, protecting the 'brand', and managing the staff. RAW food??? Multiple messed up orders??? Sopmeone is not doing their job well - and in the case of serving raw fish - this could have health implications for my son, and others. The thing that really bothers me is that there is no accepting of responsibility for simple mistakes, and the idea I was accused of 'just trying to get free food' - WTF ......(again)....... *sigh*

    On our way up the Cape for a little lighthouse-hopping adventure, we made a lunchtime stop at Cibo,…read moreand wow--this place is the real Italian deal. The second I walked through the door, I knew we were in for something authentic. The air was filled with the unmistakable smell of fresh sauce, garlic, and quality ingredients. The vibe? Warm, casual, and confidently no-frills in the best way. When my boyfriend's mom asked for mayo and was kindly offered a side of house-made marinara instead, we knew we had struck Italian gold. I ordered the Caprese panini, and while I didn't love the bread at first glance, it surprised me--it was light enough to let the real stars shine: creamy, fresh mozzarella and that incredible homemade pesto. I actually finished the whole sandwich (a rare feat when most leave me full of nothing but bread). My boyfriend (and his parents) devoured their sandwiches without a word, leaving only a few crumbs and a slightly smug expression. We also split an arancini ball for just $5--and it was hefty. Flavorful and golden, though the cheese inside could've used a bit more melt inside. Still worth it, especially at that price. Cibo offers both made-to-order paninis and a full spread of pre-prepared Italian dishes that looked straight out of Nonna's kitchen. Think: lasagna, pastas, cold salads, and a take-and-bake section with house-made pasta and sauces. The gourmet coffee bar smelled like heaven and used fresh ingredients--no plastic creamer pods in sight. Even the dessert case looked like it had stories to tell. Aside from some Cape Cod chips and bottled Coke, everything here felt distinctly and proudly Italian. This is a spot that knows exactly what it is and does it well. 10/10 would detour for this place again.

Unfortunately I was quite disappointed when I went today for a panini to go. The paninis used to be amazing and a true treat. Today's Italian panini had exactly one thin slice of ham, one thin slice of salami and once thin slice of mortadella on it. For a $17 sandwich, I would have expected way more meat and the bread/meat made me barely taste any protein. Hopefully the new team can adjust and do better in the future.
