a variety of food on a table
Ashley G.

I've been eyeing this place for a while because I like little hole-in-the-wall type takeout places. I ordered orange chicken (crunchy and delicious as it should be), kung pao chicken (could've been a touch spicier but good), broccoli in garlic sauce (surprisingly spicy which I happen to love but watch out), white rice, fried rice, and egg drop soup (honestly, some of the best I've had. Egg rolls were average, but on the whole this place was AWESOME. Good value for money too. Plus you can order ahead online and set a pickup time. I'll definitely be returning.

STEEL WOOL PIECES

DANGER!! Food contained sharp metal pieces. Ordered here through Uber Eats. General Tso chicken had STEEL WOOL PIECES cooked into the chicken. Sharp and stiff pieces of METAL! Dangerous and Disgusting and will never order here again. No response from Uber eats about the safety issue. :( This could KILL someone and at the very least cut your esophagus (google it!)

I usually order from here it's my go to when I'm at work but today for lunch my general Tso chicken was hard and dry like it was old. I was two seconds to calling them back but I just threw it away. I was very disappointed and probably won't order from this location again.

No 9. Sweet and Sour Pork Combination Platter

Overall not bad food. The platter sizes are large enough for two. If you are looking at a quick bite to eat this place has your covered.

Pretty good chinese take out! I especially like their egg rolls, dumplings, and their singapore rice.

We came here for an early lunch, and we ordered: +Crab Rangoon - triangular-shaped, generously filled with the cream cheese/crab mixture; could have been a bit more crispy, as it was slightly chewy; the sweet & sour dipping sauce was a great complement +Chow Fun - we opted for the beef as a protein; the noodles were extremely wide, which was great; you can kick it up with chili oil and soy sauce; beef were plentiful +Mongolian Beef - lots of onions and scallions, this had a good flavor; you can add more of a saltiness to it with soy sauce This is definitely a family-run and -operated eatery, as the youngest son was taking orders and manning the register; all orders were made-to-order, so what you will be receiving will be super fresh! The owners were very kind, friendly, and attentive! There were a couple of tables inside, so we chose to dine in. Everything tasted fresh, not at all salty, and prepared with care and love. I'd love to try out their lunch specials and other chef specialty entrees on the next visit. This is the BEST Indian place in Old Town! We've lived here about 3 years and we just wish we'd…read moretried it sooner. The food and service were amazing! It also has a really cool vibe on the inside. It's situated at the bottom of the Hyatt on King/Harvard. We ordered the samosa chat, pav bhaji, butter chicken, and CTM. Everything was so delicious. The samosa chaat comes with the tamarind and mint dressings already mixed in. Our server, Sam, was attentive and super kind! He offered us extra rice when we were a bit too enthusiastic with our curry portions. I cannot recommend this place enough!

STEAMED CHICKEN MOMO (6) - 13 The chicken momos sat on top of a creamy chili garlic sauce that was a bit spicy. The momos were juicy and the filling was soft and flavorful. Good appetizer to share between the three of us. BUTTER CHICKEN - 19 Creamy and rich, tasted a bit sweeter than I was used to, almost like a chicken tikka masala. Pretty standard, but got the job done. Plenty of chicken in our curry. SAAG PANEER - 19 Vibrant green with the perfect loose, creamy texture that wasn't too chunky. Good amount of paneer in our portion. The spinach actually tasted like spinach, which I find rare at other restaurants that also serve saag/palak paneer. Definitely one of the better ones I've had! GARLIC NAAN - 4 Pretty typical, but good nonetheless. It was a bit greasy than I would have liked, but went well with the curries when we wanted to switch between bites of the basmati rice. Portions were pretty big and generous. Everything we ordered hit and all above average. The three of us were quite full after sharing an app + naan + two entrees. Stop by if you're in the area!

90 minutes of unlimited plates, yes please!…read more I'm very been to Yunnan a couple of times but this was my first time trying their Chef's Endless Table experience. There are two tiers to the menu that are priced at $44 and $69 per person. The menu offered a little bit of everything from Bao buns to their popular Mixian noodles. The restaurant's design was clean, chic and minimal.

Stopped in after running some errands on a rainy evening an hour to close; figured I'd update my…read morereview. Ordered the Mogu Shiitake Mixian Noodles like last time; overall it was solid, though the hard-boiled egg probably could have benefitted from a little more time in the broth, but it was near-closing, so not a big deal. Unfortunately, the service quality has ebbed since my last visit. My server, while outwardly calm and friendly enough, was eager to remind me of their imminent closure thrice during my meal. I eventually had to say "Yes, I'm aware" to ensure I understood. I suffer from heartburn and need to pace my meals, so this felt like a rather passive-aggressive "get out" which I didn't appreciate for the sake of my own physical health. Moreover, I asked at the end of my meal if I could apply a $5 off coupon I received for my birthday. The server told me that the manager has to be on duty in order to apply the discount code, and that they already left. I found this bizarre, having worked with Toast POS systems before, I know this isn't a difficult thing to train your staff on. This was compounded by the fact that I had to wait an additional 10 minutes for another employee, ostensibly an assistant manager, to apply it, and she wasn't even aware until I flagged her down. Again, solid fare; always love when I get to stop in to Yunnan for that reason alone, so I still recommend it. Unfortunately, I think the management should circle back on a few items with the staff in terms of service quality.
