I stayed here 3 nights last June. It is in a great location in Brickell with the hottest rooftop bar in the city. But everything else was bad. I mean, real bad. This hotel wants to be high-tech. There are no elevator buttons, light switches, or key slots on the door. Everything is touch activated. The key system doesn't work. I had to go down to the front desk several times daily for new keys. The reservation was in my finance's name, and they gave me a huge hassle almost every time. I literally had to threaten to call the police before they reissued my key once. it was unbelievable. The pool is so over-cholorinated, my skin literally reeked for days. Compared to similar hotels, the bed and sheets were subpar. The music player did not work. The bathroom oddly had a wall missing, so if you were on the toilet you can see out into the room, and through the balcony. The staff was inconsistent and mostly unfriendly. I could go on and on. In this review, you will not read anything regarding the amenities of the hotel, this one is about some of the more basic things that would like to see at a nice hotel. Some extremely high paid chef is likely responsible for room service at hotel. With few exceptions, the food is very bad. You can get much better tasting food at any place outside the hotel. Some extremely high paid designer is likely responsible for the darkness in room and lobby. A little bit more light everywhere, would make everything a little bit more inviting. And the entire room lighting is controlled by these annoying buttons you have to press. Sure, you're staying in a fancy "smart" room, but light switches have been doing a fine job for many decades. You won't find any of those here. The key system routinely goes bad. So you constantly run into issues getting into your room. The mini fridge inside your room may be locked and stay locked for days if the "system" is down. The elevators are a complete joke. They are very warm, especially when it's packed. It doesn't seem like there's A/C in them. Supposed to be "green" elevators, so sum it up, it sometimes will make numerous stops on its way to your floor. The only way to get around this is to be one of the lucky ones who request an elevator when no one is around. I will say a few positive things. Sugar is a good spot for drinks, but not on weekend nights when it gets extremely busy. The hotel staff are in general very helpful. They have an amazing selection of international TV which is awesome for international travelers. The location is the best in Brickell. You are connected to Brickell City Center and within a short walk to many restaurants and office buildings in area. read more

I stayed at this hotel to celebrate my birthday in Miami and had such a horrible experience with Valet and how the hotel handled the matter. We came downstairs from our room to get my car because my husband left his wallet inside the vehicle. As I am realizing after 30 mins that my car has not pulled up yet, we head over to the valet office for an update. Everyone we spoke with kept giving us the run-around. "We are getting your car now" "What kind of car is it?" " You told us it was a different car" My husband ended up asking them for the keys after an hour so that we could look for the car ourselves. NO KEYS. Their response: "An employee must of left with your keys" At this point I am convinced that someone has stolen my car because we could not find it in the garage after we decided to search for it. I go to front desk lobby of EAST Miami to see if they could assist. But the manager on duty says "Sorry ma'am, but the hotel and valet are 2 separate companies, so its not our fault and we cant help you. But you can call the police" Now, I am livid and devastated. They have no idea where my car is. They claimed to be checking the security cameras but no one knows what happened. Everyone is pointing fingers and not taking the blame. 4+ HRS (which is what felt like eternity) have now gone by and a valet person comes up to me and says "Ma'am, Can I see your valet ticket? your car just pulled up" I walk outside and everyone is surrounding my car: Security, Valet, Management and a random guy walk out of my car. This hotel/valet gave my car to someone else without checking the ticket to match the number on the keys!! The guys that took my car said that valet gave him my car without questioning him bcus "he looked like my husband". They were so nonchalant as if this happens often and the hotel did nothing. The valet manager said he would refund my stay and I had to go through soooo much after to get it processed. Still no refund. The manager the next morning was a bit more caring/nicer and I asked for my gas tank to be replaced from valet. But if you don't want your car stolen because of their careless valet system, don't stay here! Because who knows what went down in my car while it was gone. My whole stay was completely ruined and all the hotel could offer us was a free bland breakfast. Believe every review you have read on this place & save yourself the headache. Looking from the outside it looks fabulous because of their modern design but stay away from this place. Starting with the fact that the room service has to be requested every time. This should be done regardless of requests once the guests leave the room unless instructed not to do so. When they do come, not enough towels are replaced, the room is NOT cleaned properly. There was spilled coffee in the same spot for several days. When they replace coffee pods, they forget to include wooden stirrers. Room is extremely dark (no extra lamps just in case a guest doesn't enjoy the dimness). We had 4 families staying at this hotel & every one of our rooms had issues, such as the sink leaking, the door not working at all (my mother in law was locked out and waited over half hour to fix the problems ) , inability to access each other's rooms which were on different floors. Just a whole mess. The only pro to this place is location. Great area to shop and dine. read more

The hotel is nice but the customer service was lacking. After checking out, it took a while to get our bags that we had held in the back while we explored Miami a bit before our departure; they misplaced one as well and we had to point it out. While I was waiting in the lobby, I needed to use the restroom which you can only use if a staff member swipes their card. The woman who came to help me was very rude and seemed annoyed that I needed to use it. The pool is a nice size - more for lounging than swimming. In a city full of great hotels, EAST is in a class of its own. I LOVE this hotel, and have just stayed there a second time and would not stay anywhere else! First, everyone who works at EAST goes out of there way to ensure the guests are having a good time. The service at the hotel is outstanding! And if there is anything not right, they go out of their way to fix it immediately! It's clear that Guest comfort is their priority. The hotel itself is beautiful, and very forward-thinking regarding care for our environment. In fact, EAST is a great example that you do not have to sacrifice luxury or comfort for environmentally-sound practices. The environment of the hotel is great for our environment, and how often does that happen?!?! Every room has a balcony, and I love that there is no carpeting. The soft and warm wooden floors are so much cleaner than carpeting! And I wish I could live on the balcony!! Great coffee bar in the morning; wonderful restaurant, attached to an amazing mall that is somehow inside and outside at the same time; and a fantastic location. The hotel staff hate their jobs and it shows. Never have I had a worse experience at a hotel in my life. I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. The rooms were bug infested and the room keys never worked. They also give access to the public to their rooftop restaurant "Sugar" but give no benefits to hotel guests which will push you to the back of the 2 hour line. All in all just a terrible experience and we didn't not even stay the full night we said f**k it and left it was that bad. read more

Stayed at hotel for 3 nights. Rooms are nice and that's where the good news ends. Staff needs additional training on how to serve hotel visitors. After waiting 30 minutes to have someone take my order I called it in from my cell. Bouncers guard entrance to hotel and physical harm you when you attempt to return to the property (it's all about the club and they forget there is also a hotel). Fire alarm in room went off 3 times in a 24 hour period (no sleep). Electrical glitches throughout the room! Let them iron out the bugs before selecting this property. Rating= half star. read more

I thought I would try a new hotel for this recent business trip (4 nights). Checking in was smooth and we got a beautiful room with an amazing view of the bay. The 2nd night, starting at 3 am, doors slamming, loud partying and even a random knock on our door at 4 am. Evidently, there was a music festival that weekend. Those guests, I was told by staff, used an expedia discount ( a free night with stay?). 3rd night, same noise, same disruption, same sleepless night. This is not to mention the garbage and trash left in hallways and evelators. I complained to managers and they did move us to a very quiet residence unit last but the a/c was not working properly. I doubt I would ever stay here again , given the many options for real quality in a hotel. Good luck, sleep tight. read more

We are on the 36th floor. I'm afraid of heights and the bathtub overlooking the city will certainly force me to be brave. The shower doesn't drain well, nor does the sink, but I'm assuming it's because we are so high up. No children's menu, but this is Miami. Very clean :) and staff is kind. Be aware of theft!!!! My favorite pair of Chanel sandals got stolen! Overall very poor security practice and customer service. I stayed here for three nights on a business trip. The property was fine. I went for a late swim on the second night and forgot to take the sandals back with me to the room. When I realized it the next morning, I wasn't too worried as I was the last person to leave before the pool was closed and it was still very early in the morning, no one was at the pool yet. When I found out the sandals were no longer there, I checked with pool staff who directed me to call Security. Since then I have been given very inconsistent information by various team members: -"It's Miami and things get stolen, not to mention Chanel." -"We will check the security cameras, not sure if we will find anything. " -"We don't have good security camera angles." -"There are no security cameras by the pool side." -"A member of the management team would call you regarding this." (No manager ever called) I noticed even the pool is guest-only, they actually don't guard the entrance. Anyone could take the lobby elevator and go the pool area. Pool staff don't check guest's name or room number at all. Everyone I spoke with was rather dismissive and tried their best to pass this to the next person. It is very clear they have substantial experience receiving such complaints. So moral of the story, be extremely careful of your personal belongings when you are in the the public area of the property. And you are on your own if you lose anything! read more

Wish we could have spent more time here. We came in late on a Friday and left Sunday morning for our cruise. I wasn't really sure what to expect since I had never stayed in this area before. When we got to the hotel on Friday night around 9-10pm there was a line out front for the club upstairs. It was very dark in the hotel and we weren't sure if we were in the right place! The front desk girl was super nice, she checked us in and showed us how to use the fancy elevators. The room was amazing!! We stayed in the two bedroom suite that had a kitchen, living room and balcony with a great view. It was so nice, we felt spoiled for sure! We didn't eat here at all since we had our kids and everything was much fancier than I had guessed! We enjoyed the pool on Saturday which was beautiful! Also, the mall is somewhat attached so that was convenient. I would definitely stay here again! read more

Today, October 3rd, my boyfriend and I whom rented a room from Thursday, 9/30 to Monday 10/4, went down to the pool an hour ago before closing and decided to buy a bucket of Stellas for a group of friends who were visiting us. Unfortunately, there was a problem where we were being kicked out because of the total of guests who entered the pool after ordering in which we weren't able to finish. One of the pool servers, Jonathan saw us all come in and didn't reprimand us or let us know that we weren't able to go in after dipping in the pool/jacuzzi after 20 minutes. Jonathan later comes and ask our group what room we are in and tells us we have to leave and he will be asking security to escort us out with a very condescending tone. Through out this whole process, Jonathan and who I later find out was the pool manager and sister, Shirley or Shirlene was asking Jonathan to tell him we had to go after acknowledging we had been there for those 20 minutes and menacingly looking at us. After letting the pool manager know the situation, she abruptly cut me off and told me I had to leave. As someone who works in hospitality, its best to let residents and guests know about the rules or updates of venue. We felt that this interaction was personal, was not professional at all. The pool manager and Jonathan were very unprofessional and were not the expectations that the East set where as I don't believe siblings should be working together. This place (Sugar-rooftop bar) was overrated and majorly under-whelming for our entire group. The drinks were unique but maybe a little too unique (as in not good). It was pretty but all of the trees blocked the view and the breeze. The heat was unbearable. Side note: The drinks at the pool bar were delicious (5th floor). Additionally, the vibe and live music inside the restaurant Quinto (also, the fifth floor) was very inviting. I might go back just to try the restaurant, but I will never go back to Sugar. read more

My wife and I reserved a room block at EAST for our wedding, and we were truly excited for the opportunity to share EAST's beautiful property and amenities with our most special friends and family. Our overall experience was unprofessional and disorganized with apathetic customer service. Here's why: 1.EVENT MANAGER WAS NOWHERE TO BE FOUND when our event (rehearsal dinner) was supposed to begin, and it was raining on our outdoor event setup. We called her multiple times and left her multiple voicemails. When our guests arrived on the pool level, there was nobody that could tell us anything about our event. We just saw people cleaning off tables and taking things to what appeared to be their staff backroom. We were panicking not knowing where our food was going to be served or even offered. The event manager's overall demeanor and customer service throughout the planning process was apathetic. After about 20 minutes of trying to find someone, we found Juan who was unaware of many details of our event, however; he and his staff did an incredible job of adjusting and accommodating to make up for the lack of information from the event manager. Better communication is crucial when hosting events at a site, especially for the price here. 2. Event manager informed us THE DAY BEFORE our wedding that we are unable to take any pictures on site on our wedding day. As a result, we had to change our entire itinerary leading up to our wedding. We had planned to do our first look on site and take a few bridal party and family photos before heading to the venue. Event manager did not give any options or accommodations to myself or our planner, and strictly said this is not allowed. Our planner has had many of her couples stay at EAST, and she said she has never heard of this. 3. As a result of having to change our itinerary for our wedding day, our planner revised that my wife would drive to the venue with our planner (utilizing EAST valet services) following the shuttle that would take the groom, bridal party, and families. There were major issues with the valet; our planner and my wife waited outside over 25 minutes for our planner's car. Our photographer and videographer waited around or over an hour to get their cars from the valet missing our first look and time allotted for family and bridal pictures. Our vendors were unable to provide an hour of services that we paid for directly because of EAST Hotel Valet. Valet responded to our photographer's plea to show some urgency as she is missing the wedding, and was met with: "we're busy, there's nothing we can do." Couples should be compensated for services that their vendors are unable to provide due to poor service. Upon hearing our photographer had the same issue with EAST valet two weeks after our wedding, it's imperative that my wife and I warn other couples! 4. Many of our guests had major issues with their key cards; several guests had to go to the front desk multiple times a day because they could not get into their rooms. My wife's father was locked out of his room for 45 minutes on our wedding day, and asked to return from the wedding to move his belongings because they couldn't get his room door to lock. After many failed requests for my father-in-law to to be late to our wedding and him getting frustrated, they finally offered to move his belongings. We expressed our concerns to the Director of Catering and to EAST main email posted on their website approximately two weeks ago, and we have NOT heard back from either party. We had 33+ rooms on our room block, many booking 2 or 3 bedroom suites and hosted our rehearsal dinner on site. Our experience at EAST TAINTED OUR WEDDING WEEKEND and is the sole reason that our photographer and videographer missed the time we allotted for our first look, bridal party pictures, and family pictures on our wedding day. What's more disappointing is the lack of service and overall care for guests and couples that choose to share one of the most special weekend of their lives at EAST Hotel. read more

Not to mention the fact I ordered a Diet Coke & Vodka and was handed a can of diet coke and a glass with a little bit of Vodka for me to pour myself. Upon leaving my card which I used to open a tab was "misplaced" and it took over 40 minutes for the bartender to find it. Wouldn't come back to this hotel. The staff (except for the one woman that checked us in) is pretty rude. The design of the hotel room itself is pretty awkward: the bathroom gives no privacy and there is a glass door (and an opening for air) in the toilet. I was with my fiance so it's whatever but what if we were just dating, had a romantic dinner, made love, and then I had to do my business in an open bathroom with a toilet behind a glass door. I'd be MORTIFIED! Aside from that, the elevators are completely inefficient. I spent 15 minutes waiting for one elevator. Also they're trying to be tech savy but again, it might be cool conceptually but when it comes to practicality it is completely annoying. For example, lights would close out of nowhere (or not work at all) and I had to walk all the way to my bedside to turn on the lights in the bathroom. Again, I wouldn't come back as there are MUCH better ones all across Miami. read more

I'm very disappointed. I'm a Miamian, born and raised. First, the front desk clerk Was very nice and accommodating and gave us early check in- that was great. Rooms are clean and I appreciate that there is security at the lobby checking to see if you are a hotel Guest. I wanted a staycation with my family. Yes we are in Covid times but the hotel And hotel staff blame everything on Covid and "keeping you safe". For example, pool waiters took forever to being 1 beer. Sugar is charging $75 per person, even children just to get through the door! When I asked the waitress for the second time about the beer (which was ordered 40 minutes ago) she gave me attitude and told me to remember that the bartender has to serve the pool and restaurant..:. Why is that the guests' problem?? Hotel should have the amount of staff for the "75%" occupancy that they rely on. Calling the front desk from the room- takes forever for someone to pick up. The sad part is that I am here with my two kids and I can spend the money here at the property but I am going to go eat and drink at another property because they are not requiring a $75 minimum for children. Miguel is at the door and is incredibly rude and makes you feel like you're bothering him (eventhough there is no one there or in line) It doesn't make any sense. Pool is also small. My boyfriend and I stayed here for a staycation because of covid, and I knew things would probably be limited at hotels because of the pandemic as well but I feel this hotel were trying to take huge advantage of it. For example, you couldn't go to sugar and get a drink without spending $75 a meal PER PERSON. Which I found absolutely ridiculous. Also, room service was extremely slow. We would call to get ice sent up to the room and it would take them over an hour before we called again to remind them. And you would think from a very pricey hotel, that they would provide the room with a mini fridge or a microwave. I've been to cheaper hotels and they would still have a fridge and microwave in their rooms. They had a mini fridge bar but you couldn't put anything in there or they would charge you $25 for storing personal items. And that's another thing, since that mini bar had a scale, if you so much as tipped over the drinks in there, the would charge you over $65 for it!! It's a good thing my boyfriend and I looked at our bill at the end of our stay because we had over $100 for the mini bar since a few of the drinks got tipped over when we opened the fridge which they didn't even bring up or even tell you about the bill charge at the end like they were trying to keep the charges until we complained. One other thing, they put us in a room with no working AC and we had to wait till 2AM for them to fix it for us which was ridiculous that they didn't check before they gave us the room. If it weren't for the ridiculous charges and minor issues we've experienced, the hotel would've been a much better stay. read more

I don't know where to begin. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! My friend raved about this place, but I changed my flight and fled Miami after staying here. My first room the door connected to the next room wasn't secured; I didn't find out until the engineers showed up to fix it. The nightstand and bathroom was covered in ants. Hundreds of ants. Yes, this beautiful hotel was dealing with an ant issue. I was moved to another room, but during all of this I kept making complaints about the lack of house keeping. House keeping never came even when requested and when they did they only changed the towels. Her excuse was "I'm in the room at the time of cleaning." Well what about the countless hours I was away and the room wasn't touched? I would be gone from morning until 7 and didn't get my first room cleaning until the 3rd of my stay after constantly complaining. The deal breaker was I went to get in the new room bed just before midnight and an obvious roach greeted me. Yes, IN THE BED!!! It was terrible!! Not to mention all the young and sketchy roaming through the hotel. This place is not worth the price. Great location and beautiful views, but it drops there. You'll be on pest patrol your entire stay. All the hotel had to say for themselves was sorry, here's new sheets and we will offer a night credit despite the disturbing issues during your stay. They say that to kill a person slowly and cruelly you deprive them of sleep. That is what my stay at the EAST felt like. The non-responsiveness of the staff and management was appalling. If you are not a party person, you will leave this hotel in an awfully bad mood and exhausted. Every night got worse. This is how the nightmare unfolded: First night (Monday). The next door neighbors, a young group of people, are getting loud past midnight. I call the Front Desk and they tell me they will notify the guests because EAST has a very strict policy - after the first warning, if guest do not comply, they will be asked to leave the hotel. Second night. The next door neighbors are loud again, past midnight. The stench of marijuana is coming into my room (my balcony door is closed). I call Guest Experience; they tell me they will send security immediately. Third night. At 1:15-am my next door neighbors are having a screaming match. I kept on hearing a woman yelling "you are not going to hurt me". I was worried about her and very disgruntled to have to deal with every aspect of this situation. I call Guest Experience and they say they will send security immediately. At 2:56-am, the neighbors are being loud again. This time it sounds like a party. I call the Front Desk and I am told that the neighbor causing the noise last night checked-out that morning, so the room had new guests. Not that this is relevant to me at this hour or in my situation. At 3:15-am I am still hearing party sounds. I call Security. They said they came up but there was no noise. I tell them I will record the noise and do so. That morning, I call Guest Experience and speak to the manager to report the appalling situation. I am exhausted and have a full day of work ahead of me. The Manager, Evelyn, apologizes, tells me those guests will check out that morning, and that she will strategically assign that room to guests who may be quieter (already red flags are going off in my head: young guests that only stay one night at the hotel...?!). Fourth night. At 9:30-pm the neighbors are starting to party... I am concerned where this is going. I call Guest Experience and tell them as much. 9:30-pm is early, but by 10:30/11-pm I surely would like to go to sleep after the previous sleepless nights. I am told security will come up. Security calls me to tells me there is no noise! The noise does relent, however. 6:30-am. Cackling laughing noise next door. Forget any chance of sleeping in. I call Security and they tell me there is no noise. I record the noise on my phone and I request the security Manager to come to my floor and knock at my door when he arrives. I am told this Manager will call me when he returns, as he is handling another incident on another floor (!). When he does call, and then comes upstairs, the corridor is quiet for a while, but sure enough, within some 10 minutes the loud laughs, "fun" screaming. He and the security person who came with him went to speak to the neighbors. They came calling to my room again to apologize profusely. I checked out that morning. Equally aggravating --and being deprived from sleeping soundly for four nights in a row is as aggravating as it gets-- was the staff's response: "But we always responded to your requests to send someone up." "But we cannot control who are guests are." "But there is no way of us knowing when a guest checks in that they are going to be loud." "But this happens in other hotels." Endless and appalling excuses. Evelyn's "strategic" placement of my neighbors failed flat in its face because it never happened. This does not happen at the Mandarin Oriental, or the Ritz-Carlton, or even at the InterContinental for that matter. Unfortunately, they were farther away, and I had a couple of appointments in Brickell. If I just would have known, I would have gone that farther stretch. Staff needs to be re-trained to handle noise situations effectively, and customer service in being more sensitive. read more

Horrible experience! Upon our arrival, my husband decided to shower in the guest bathroom. The guest shower flooded the hall, living room and kitchen. I was busy cleaning up the water when the maintenance technician walked in unannounced. He immediately left after he saw I was cleaning the water. Within 10 minutes, another tech arrived to make the needed repairs. After some loud banging, the tech moved the shower door seal lower to avoid another flood. While in the room I asked he take a look at the living room tv since that too wasn't working. After checking all connecting wires, he replaced the remote control batteries. How were these items missed during the turnover process and prior to my arrival? Being in property management, both items should be part of the turn process to ensure a seamless transition between guest. UNBELIEVABLE! With a horrible start to our stay, we concluded the night with pounding music and blinking lights from a private party on the 5th floor. Around 10pm, the pounding stopped and we were then able to get some sleep. Due to this, we missed our flight and currently on STANDBY at the airport until 745pm AT THE EARLIEST. This was a horrible end to our 10-day vacation. At a cost of over $500 a night, I'd expect the tv to work upon arrival AND not having to clean a flooded room! I also expected an enjoyable night and end to our vacation. This was not the case, as I ended my trip cleaning up a flood, an employee walking in unannounced and pounding music until 10pm. We will not stay at this hotel again, and I'd appreciate a call from a member of the management team promptly. I had heard great things about East, Miami. When I was booking my trip to Miami, for business, I decided to book my stay at East. I also decided to bring my wife (who needed and deserved a vacation) and my 10 month old daughter. I called the day before our trip to make sure that a crib was in our room and that there would be adequate refrigeration for bottles, etc. When we checked into East the person at the front desk wanted me to pay for our stay, again. Not pay the $150 or whatever it is per night hold for incidentals. I asked, "do you mean an imprint for incidentals?" I was told no... Expedia hadn't paid them yet so they wanted me to pay them. I had to show them an email that I had already paid. This argument went on for about 45 minutes. They finally took an imprint for incidentals and as I told them to... take it up with Expedia. We then went to our room. The accommodations are great. However, there wasn't a crib in our room and the fridge didn't allow for our bottles to be in it. Part of my hour plus check in was about the crib which they ensured was in the room. I thought not a big deal. They sent up a crib and a little fridge. We waited in the room for a couple hours for them to do this. The next day, when we had the do not disturb on the hotel called our room and woke our baby during nap time. They then did this again the day after. I finally called the front desk and got them to stop calling the room. Friday evening we get notice that the pool will be closed for Saturday and Sunday. This would've been nice to know when we booked the hotel or even when we checked in. Then on Monday, my wife who was desperate to go to the pool with our daughter, went to the pool and was told it was closed. When she went to the front desk to see why it was closed she was told it was open. She had to go up to the pool and take a picture to show that it wasn't open because the people and the front desk were confrontational with her and didn't believe her that it was closed. This is when my wife lost it. She called me and had me leave a meeting to explain to me how she was treated and wanted to know why we were in a hotel for 7 days and the pool was closed for 3 of them. I called the manager on duty at the hotel. Not something I wanted to do when I was working. They apologized after I told them about everything that had gone wrong. They told me they would call me on my cell when the pool was open and that they would like us to eat dinner at the hotel on them. I reiterated that they should not call the room because of a potential napping baby situation. They understood and at around 3:30 they called me and let me know the pool was open. This was thirty minutes after my wife texted me that someone called the room at 3:00 and once again woke the baby. We spoke to the manager again. They apologized for the call to the room and made reservations for us for dinner at their restaurant. The restaurant experience was a joke. It took them over 20 minutes to get us a high chair. I then had to leave to meet a business acquaintance for a drink at Sugar (a night club on the roof). My wife finished dinner and was given the check. They took dessert off for us waiting 20 minutes for the high chair. My wife said, "that's nice but the hotel manager said this comped and that's why she made the reservation for us." They had no clue. Now my wife had to wait there while it got settled with the manager. This took some time. As anyone with a 10 month old knows... our child now wanted and needed to go to sleep. So my wife is waiting there like an idiot and having to deal with a child that wanted to go to sleep. Not good. The next morning I go with my wife to the pool. This time it is open and we think we can enjoy ourselves out there. However, we keep getting bothered by some people shooting a music video. They keep having us move our stuff and restrict us as to where we can be in the pool. This is frustrating and we decide to leave. I decide to grab some pancakes outside. I order with a waiter. Then another waiter comes to our table and start interrogating us asking us what we ordered and through who. They lost my order. Our waiter came out and apologized. The food was made but no one told him and it went bad so it was being remade. I start telling a friend of mine who calls me about what was going on. He frequents East often. He gives me the main manager's name and number. So I call Richard Fernandez who is the director of guest services and I leave a message. He never called me back. I then call him the next day, the day we left, and the day after we left East. I received a call back from Richard three days after we left. They offered us two nights of accommodations. However, my wife doesn't want to go back. read more
