We have lived in town for 6 years and there have been 2 constants when walking in to East Garden; You will be met by either a kid doing their homework and running register and the food always hits. One of the best spots in town. The food is always done on time. I just wish they had a way to order online! read more

Tasty Chinese food, the crab rangoons were addictive, chow mein not too greasy, and there was an abundance of rice and broccoli to balance out the savory entrees. I recommend this place to every Vermonter or visitor who craves good Chinese food! read more

This place is a great local option for takeout (not open for dine-in right now). The menu was too hard for me to locate online (the "unofficial" website doesn't seem super trustworthy and the google reviews page only shows two of the four-page menu---and neither seem consistent to the Yelp menu, which may be the most accurate?). I drove into town and picked up a paper version, placed my order, and hung around for fifteen minutes until it was ready. I was happy to see mapo tofu on the menu, and it didn't disappoint! I love the not-sweet flavor of the dish. I also ordered steamed vegetable dumplings, which were good but not amazing---the dough was thicker than I was expecting, but I still enjoyed them. **The menu offers many vegetable dishes, which I appreciate! East Garden, I'll see you soon! read more

Great takeout Chinese food. Always fast and ready when they say it will be. I've been going here for years and the food and the service is always to the same good standard. Can always count on them to be reliable. If you want good Chinese food, I recommend them. read more

My wife and I get take out from East Garden on the first Friday of every month-a tradition we've been keeping for over a year. We call in our order and it's ready for pickup in less than 15 minutes. The food is good, hot and inexpensive. And the portions are so generous that we have leftovers for lunch the next day.Another benefit is the food containers are very high quality and can be reused many times. I highly recommend East Garden! read more

Its just a small and unassuming place. But I have been going here regularly for most of my life. The staff is always friendly and fast. I have been allover the country but this place has the best General tso's and crab rangoons I have ever had. Sometimes the rice is a little stale but thats my only complaint. Love this place, its one of my favorite in the state. read more

Its good place for a quick Chinese meal, but its nothing authentic. Everything is either fried of has a lot of oil in it, not a big fan of it but its tolerable. The meals are a good size definitely, fills you up. Heres a link to the menu https://www.zmenu.com/east-garden-randolph-online-menu/ read more

Best sesame chicken around! Just the right amount of spice. Prices are very reasonable and service is always quick. Definitely not gourmet, but quite good for what it is. read more

Food quality is subpar, service is absolutely terrible, then to find out that they repeatedly have the same health violations year after year. (Easy to look up) I've never eaten inside the restaurant, I've only had take out twice. Both times were a horrible experience and I waited a few years in between the first and the second time ordering food there. Never again. Staff is extremely rude. We really miss China Jade read more

Moving to the area in 2006 I quickly discovered this hidden gem. Great food at a decent price. I recommend the C17 combination meal (General Tso's Chicken) with beef teriyaki and pork fried rice with a side order of their crab rangoons. read more

We get takeout from here once a week. We've yet to really explore the menu because the kung pao chicken and Singapore noodles always hit the spot! The egg rolls are massive, the prices are reasonable and we keep coming back. read more

I'm posting the full menu as of the time of this post. Like someone else stated, the full menu isn't located anywhere else online. So this is for y'all. read more

Food gets four stars, service gets a solid two stars, so let's split the difference and give it three. Very good Chinese food for a small town such as Randolph, VT, but the service was very distracted and slow, especially considering the fact that I was the only one in the restaurant at the time. I believe they were possibly prepping for the dinner rush, however I had to physically go back in the kitchen and yell across it to get the attention of the manager so I could pay my bill. Kinda strange, and definitely left me with a less than stellar impression of this joint... read more

East Garden - House special fried rice, a little spicy on request. - Chinese Near Me - Randolph, Vermont

Decent food, very greasy, relatively expensive and horrible looking interior. Overall, it's not bad, just wouldn't suggest it to anyone with standards read more

The food was OK. It was quick and tasted OK. The general chicken was good. The beef lo mein was tasty. The pork fried rice is good too, probably the best thing. Messy place, not the best, but its the only place around. read more

Recently vacationed in Vermont and this was one of the only places we could find that was open on a Monday night for dinner, so we tried this place. The food was quite good, the service was good considering there was one person out front who was waiting tables, running the register and taking phone orders. The only criticism I had about the food was that the hot and spicy soup was very spicy! I like spicy, but this was just a bit too hot even to me. It made it a little hard to taste my meal that came after. When dining here, keep in mind the dinner portion sizes are HUGE. My husband and I had skipped lunch the day we went there and were both starving when we ordered and yet we each could only eat half of our meals. Particularly if you order soup or an appetizer, you may consider splitting a meal with someone or planning to have leftovers for lunch the next day like we did. Very good value for your dollar here. read more

The food was okay. It was quick, warm and tasted pretty fresh. The general chicken was crispy but lacked spice l. It was more tangy than spicy. The beef lo mein was tasty, big pieces of beef which were good. The food gets 3 stars but the service is not good. 1 star. The young man taking my food order wasn't really paying attention or focused. I didn't order any sea food because I have a sea food allergy (shocking right?) and I specifically told him even though none of the food I ordered had sea food in it to please let the kitchen know so there's no cross contamination. My food comes out and guess what on my plate?! FRIGGEN CRAB RAGOON! I called him over, told him "WTH I told you I'm allergic and you brought out crab anyways that I didn't even order" He just said "sorry and asked what I had ordered and that it would be right out" After he brought out the food, he sat at the counter and ate his meal. (I could hear him slurping his bowl of noodles and/or soup) Not checking in on us once. My gf had to get up herself to get more napkins and grabbed her own drink out of the cooler. Overall the food was okay, don't dine in and if you have a food allergy, God speed bring your overpriced Eppi pen. read more

I love coming here when I'm really hungry because they have big portions and fast service. The food tastes really good but it's not the best quality. but for the price it's good. read more

New owners - much improved. The quality of the food is vastly better than it was recently.

This was our go to place. We like the food and prices and while those remain okay, service has gone downhill the last two times we went. The first time our party of three had two people served and after ten minutes it became apparent that they never put in the third order. The next time our party of two went, they never came back to our table once they had dropped the plates. We had to ask for a take out box, we had to request our check. They were just sitting there reading the paper and eating their lunch which I assume they thought took priority over our lunch. This needs to improve or we will find another option. read more

Some of the worse food we've ever had. House fried rice was salty to the point were we wouldn't eat it. We asked to remove the salty food charges and were given half off. Don't waste your money, go to one main grill. read more

When Annie and Bill ran East Garden the food was consistently good. They have some new staff that are not doing well. There is a new snotty young waitress. For two visits in a row she messed up my order, bringing me the wrong sides and appetizers. I was not alone, my friend also received strange food. When we asked that she return our plates and bring the correct order we were shocked by her response. She actually started taking food from my friend's plate and putting it on my plate and visa versa! That was not the correction I had in mind. I soon found out that asking for a different approach was going to make things worse....she got huffy, very huffy. She should not be waiting tables! Additionally the food quality has been unpredictable. When Tim cooks it is delicious, but there is somebody else back there who needs some further training. Sometimes the Szechuan is too hot to eat. I miss Annie in the restaurant waiting tables and singing beautifully, and Bill cooking it up in the kitchen. read more

Have not eaten there in awhile but I was hoping the food got better...it did not. Dumplings awful...chicken fingers must have used a very old chicken as it was very tough. Don't waste your money. read more

We've been eating here since this place opened several years ago. I agree that during slow times the service can be ... erratic. It's a family run business and if you catch them while they're eating or preparing food, things can be somewhat slow. It's a good place to go for dinner, evening takeout or to get one of their cheap and tasty lunch specials. They have a few bigger tables so it's good for groups as well. I'm happy the place has a lot of options including scallion pancakes (a personal favorite) and some delicious soup options if you're not looking for a big meal. I usually get one of their combination plates which are easily two meals full of food. It's basically a solidly decent Chinese food place, better than average (and better than the other one in town) and a good place to get a hot meal particularly in the dead of winter. read more

Pretty good for a small town. Ordered fried dumplings, orange chicken, hunan chicken and shrimp and chicken in garlic sauce. All were good and had plenty for leftovers. Would go back again. read more

Ordered pepper chicken 10 minutes to close, food tasted excellent, no "stale flavor. I would recommend to anyone in Randolph.

I mean As far as Chinese food goes its pretty great! As a teenager with not a whole lot of extra spending money, its nice to be able to get a hardy tasty ( probably not so healthy) meal at East garden. They have a great atmosphere and a very nice staff, they all understand english very well and they fully cook all there food, no icky cold pockets. The food is good both take out and dine in. An average entree is about $10 I recommend the beef and chicken teriyaki and the boneless ribs. Very nice to have around, not a 5 star restaurant but 5 star Chinese. Very good for what you pay! read more

Very fresh and large portion. I had the vegetable delight with fried rice and an egg roll for under $9. Great value. The restaurant is clean and nicely done. read more

I would like to say that this is the worst service that I have ever had!!. I drove there and ordered my food, the lady was very rude and kept cutting me off as I was ordering saying mm hum okay anything else... like she didn't care or was listening. This proved to be true when I went to pick up my order and it was incorrect! I told her that it was and she proceeded to rip the bag open and take out was wrong. I said I'll keep the wrong order (it was only 1 wrong thing out of the order) and she said uh uhh no. I asked if I would have to wait again for the right order and she said YES with no empathy. I proceeded to tell them to take there whole order back since they could not own their mistake. Then when I got my money back it wasn't the full amount and they argued it... They apparently don't put the tax on the original slip that they staple to your food. Anyway this is the worst service that I have ever received as a customer and would not recommend this place to anyone that want's to be treated as a valued customer!!! Thank you, Never again customer read more
