East Coast Auto Plaza did a fantastic job with the replacement of my rear driver's side quarter panel and rear bumper. My car was hit while parked and unattended and the damage was so much worse than I could guess from looking at it (first 4 pics), and when my insurance declared it a total loss, I chose to keep the car and move forward with repairs. As I navigated through that stressful process, my primary point of contact with ECAP was Benny, and found him to be so easy to work with - professional, courteous, and completely honest. He and the rest of the team also worked hard to stay on schedule to have my car ready to go for my Thanksgiving travels. and I'm so grateful for that. I won't hesitate to choose East Coast again if I need them in the future. read more

The owner and staff are sometimes inpatient and reluctant. We had good experiences here but not all the time. We were upset about it's inefficiency and unstable service. The hours on Google Map are wrong and I just submitted an edit. read more

I received the most impeccable service. The staff were very professional. They communicated the findings about my vehicle and resolved the problem in a timely manner. I am extremely satisfied with the service I received. I did not have an appointment but they were able to understand my concerns and address them while I waited in a comfortable place. Overall, I am more knowledgeable about my vehicle and I have peace of mind. It was well worth it. My car had a leak when it rained. As soon as they evaluated the problem, they were able to tell me why I had the leak. read more

I brought my car into the shop for a small dent in my front bumper and the worker told me the longest it would take would be a day or two to fix it and we agreed on a price. I called after two days and they told me that the car is not ready, it will be ready tomorrow with many excuses and after five days I came to pick up my car, the paint they used did not match my car, the car was very dirty, they sued for other parts, which I have no idea why because they disassembled the part that they need to be painted, and the parts they used were cheap. In addition my snarf stopped working I don't know why (but I know that I put it in it worked and when I took it out it doesn't work anymore, (I'm still checking it and thinking of suing them) In conclusion, don't come to this store, even if they offer you free service! In late 2023, my 2013 Avalon received top-notch repairs from East Coast Auto Services in partnership with Geico. There was clear communication, fair, and equitable treatment, which ensured no additional costs. The vehicle was restored to a like-new condition, complete with meticulous detailing. I had some issues with the car in mid-2024 which could have been related to the previous year's event. When I returned to the service center on a Sunday, the team, including Benny, Charlie, and Emanuel, addressed and fixed the issues swiftly and efficiently over the next couple of days, charging no extra fees, thereby upholding their commitment to outstanding customer service. read more

This place does excellent work. They are professional, friendly and honest. I went to them because I had an impact damage on my front end and when I consulted the local group East Coast came with many many positive reviews and experiences. I'm glad I did because they did a great job and the entire process was seamless. The office is clean and does all the paperwork quickly, the guys are friendly and attentive, and it's super easy if you have Geico to get everything inspected and file a claim. They even have Enterprise come and meet you at the repair shop with a rental car and you can drop it off at the shop when your car is ready. They answer the phone promptly and will give you honest answers, no funny stuff. They were right on schedule, even a day early. Keep up the great work, it's hard to find a reliable and trustworthy place and this is a keeper. read more

Came here to get an estimate. The guy at the office told me to drive the car in his driveway and wait. I waited 15 minutes. Then he came to me and said: "I can't give you an estimate today, come back tomorrow". Is this a good place to leave your car to get fix? You be the judge! read more

Went here for a simple inspection last week. They took my car, held on to it for 5 hours, then called me angrily telling me that my car didn't pass the inspection because it needed "significant work on the suspension and that the brakes needed to be changed immediately because it was an emergency/extremely dangerous to drive with them"-followed by someone on the phone screaming at me that if I don't come get my car within half an hour that I'll get a ticket. (My car is a lease with less than 20k miles on it. Good try.) Unprofessional, dishonest, and the total opposite of what I want in a mechanic. I took my car a mile away and got it inspected, (and passed) in 15 minutes. These people are thieves and liars. There was nothing wrong with my brakes, (according to the mechanic who did my next inspection), and I also don't appreciate when my time is wasted and I'm lied to. My advice-avoid this place at all costs and go anywhere else. They act all nice and friendly and just try to screw you in the end and will waste an entire work day for you. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. read more

Recent hit and run vandalism required me to submit a Geico vehicle claim. I was relegated to seeking a quality repair facility who I trusted but more importantly would match a painted front bumper on a 13-year old Camry. Lots of repair facilities all over in Queens but reviews had me concerned. Per Geico's recommendation I chose East Coast Auto Plaza. Work performed took a week to complete and additional damage not easily visible was worked strictly between East Coast Auto and Geico. Front bumper replaced and color matched absolutely perfectly. Even more important was the fact they are conveniently located in Rego Park, perform top notch work, and extremely convenient to work with. East Coast Auto Plaza is now in my rolodex and will be recommended to friends and family. Not only did they repair the actual damage they also proactively took the time to buff out my heavily sun damaged front headlights and included a front end alignment according to the invoice. Highly recommend East Coast Auto and Alex! Brought our car to East Coast with some body damage and scratches and they returned it to us better than we gave it to them. Not only did they repair the damage seamlessly, they also washed the car, detailed the interior, and even put new tires on it, all . They truly went above and beyond, getting all the work done in the week between Christmas and New Year's. Will definitely return to East Coast next time our car needs work done. read more

I came here simply because one of our family member had a pleasant experience with their repair department. I normally go to dealers or geico repair center. Upon pick up, the car looked brand new. If I ever need body repaired. I would take it here read more

I've been going to this place for 3 years to do my annual state inspection. I can see that they're honest people and seem to do the job right. I was there yesterday (3/6/2017) and it was a pretty busy day, but Sergio was able to squeeze me in and did my car inspection in less than 20 minutes. I hope I never get into any type of accidents and never have any car trouble, but if I do I would take it to East Coast. read more

TERRIBLE customer service! Needed to get my inspection done and called AHEAD of time to ask if they would still be open because it was 4 and they close at 5. They ensured me that they will still be open as I gave them the estimated time of my arrival. I arrived at the time that I said I would, 4:15 and lo and behold! The "manager" says that they are closed and can't service us because they "closed their machines already." When i told them that i called ahead and they said that they will be open, the "manager" said, no, I'm the manager, I didn't get that call. We kindly asked if they could open their machines and they refused us. We would not have bothered going there if they had SAID that they would be closed. Never coming back here again. I'd give them negative stars if I could. EDITTED: In reply to Alex E: You could have properly said that you did not want to service any more customers that day because it is hot outside. Instead of LYING and saying, yes, we will do it. And have me waste time and effort to get there and be denied. Did you miss the fact that I CALLED AHEAD because I was considerate of the fact that you may want to close early. And CORRECTION. You are NOT the only shops open on Sunday. Right after I was rudely denied service after being promised to be served. I went to Flushing Tires, got there at 4:45 when their NY State Machine legitimately closes at 5PM and had my inspection done. I also called them ahead of time and they were honest. Thank God. So if anyone needs to get work done on their car in Queens. Please go there. They're good and close by as well. Oh and don't apologize when you clearly don't mean it. read more

This is the best place ever to have your car serviced. I haver been a customer for 10 years. Before I discovered them I was always shopping for a reliable car business. I am a customer of this shop for approximately 6 years. They are reasonably priced and typically do a great job. They fixed so many issues with my Ford Explorer, starting from replacement of a battery to an engine fix quoted by Ford Dealer at $2,700. Needless to say, they did it it for less ($1,900). There were occasional hiccups, but everything was resolved with either mechanics or the owner himself. I have worked with 3 Ford repair shops and 3 local repair shops in recent years and i can say for sure that this place is the best. They are honest people and have no intention to extract money from for something unnecessary. read more

I just had body work done on my car at East Coast, and I am thrilled with the results. The car (a 2000) looks like new! They fixed a lot more than the damage from the accident, so 3 sides of my car are perfect. It was done in just a few days, and they handled everything with the insurance company. All I had to do was sign the check. I've also been having my car serviced here for years (formerly Interboro Auto). Wow. What a great place. From start to finish they could not have been more helpful. You can tell that what they want most of all is for you to be completely satisfied with their work and your experience there. They will go out of there way to accommodate your schedule and even help you with car rental arrangements. I was really happy with the quality of the work my car looked GREAT when I got it back. One of the earlier reviewers mentioned about narrow street access to their shop - I think that reviewer must not have been from NY - most of the streets here a narrow - and that in no way effects your experience at East Coast Auto Plaza. I've been here a few times to service my car and do some body and electrical work and I gotta say it's a really solid shop. They have great mechanics that actually try to do their best on the vehicles they work on, unlike other mechanics that just "patch" up your car enough to get you by but come back for something else. They have great rates, very affordable. The shop is also pretty big and can accommodate numerous cars. If your looking for a new and trustworthy mechanic look no further. read more

Got into an accident and needed body repair to the driver side door. After checking the reviews, I decided to give East Coast a chance and was not disappointed. Dealing with the insurance was a nightmare (still is) but not their fault. They did their part but in the end, I had to pay out of pocket until my insurance company cut me a check a few days later. They fixed all the damage and the paint job looked good as new. The repairs took about a week which was reasonable. There was a billing error involving the insurance deductible that I was not happy about but to my delight, I received a phone call the following day informing me that Emmanuel realized the error on their part and refunded the overpayment to my credit card promptly. I hope to never be involved in an accident again but if I ever needed body work, I would not hesitate to use East Coast or recommend them to anyone else needing same. read more
