Easirent was an easy stress free way to rent a car. The shuttle bus picked my wife and I up at the designated location 15mins after I called. At the check in desk Ryan assisted us to our needs and completed our paperwork (approx time 20mins) before heading on our way. On arrival Allen checked the car, fuel and mileage before swiftly shuttling us to our airport hotel for the night. The car was new with minor damage all recorded by Ryan. We where advised to take photos of the vehicle prior to leaving but where not needed. read more

Do not Rent from This Place! You have been Warned! I would give 0 stars or less for this location if possible. There's a reason why this place only averages 2 stars and I hope you don't ignore the ratings like I did and waste two hours at this horrendous place manned by rude thugs who try to coerce you into taking their numerous onerous policies to try to make up the cheaper prices they offer compared to most car rental companies like Europcar or Hertz. The company goes through what I would describe as a three step process to try to make up for the difference in price compared to other companies. 1. When we arrived at the location, we were initially spoken to nicely by a man at the counter who asked us for the usual details. He asked us if we wanted to take insurance on the car, and we replied that we had already booked full excess insurance through the agent Rentalcars.com. He proceeded to keep telling us that third parties insurers only pay out 27% of the time and we should take the company's insurance . We politely declined. He tried to scrutinise the existing policy we had taken and seemed disgruntled that he could not find any fault with it. 2. He then proceeded to ask us whether we wanted to take their fuel policy. The fuel policy of the company, which was not reflected on my online booking through rentalcars.com, is extremely onerous and while they do not force you to take the policy, makes it hard for you not to do so. One of the many onerous conditions attached to their fuel policy was a. Car must be refuelled within 5 miles of the return location. b. Car must be refuelled within 1 hour of the return. ( WHAT?) c. The company would take a deposit ( does not accept mastercard, electron, debit card), and if you choose not to take their fuel policy, their may be additional bank charges and interest which will be borne by you. d. Charges may be taken without notifying you. e. All the conditions attached to their fuel policy must be adhered to otherwise you may potentially lose your deposit. 3. After declining their insurance and fuel policies, he then proceeded to tell us that the car that we had booked was no longer available as they usually hold the car for two hours. As it was according to him (23rd of July 2018), the first day of their so called summer season the company could only hold the rental for one hour. As our flight was delayed he said that the company offered three options. We were either to wait 1 and a half hours ( potentially more) for our car to be available, top up additional £30+ pounds for a an estate wagon, or were offered a small Ford Fiesta which we could not obviously take as we had numerous luggages ( why I booked the bigger car in the first place). When we tried to explain that the flight was delayed and we wanted the car that we had originally booked, he simply shrugged off the matter and said it wasn't his problem. We were tired from a long flight and just simply wanted to get our car and move on but this guy started getting really threatening in his demeanour and we decided that we could not rent from this company that day. I have spoken to staff at Avis and Enterprise ( where I went after), who said these fuel policies were ridiculous and that the 23rd of July wasn't some so-called first day of summer. Of course, what you pay for is what you get in terms of service. Don't expect to get a similar level of service you get from higher end car rental brands. For one, I personally knew I paid a cheaper price and I didn't expect the same level of service. But I don't think that you deserve to be plagued with so many hidden costs and onerous policies that simply try to make up for the difference. Save yourself the hassle of the thuggery, rudeness by their staff and frustration while on vacation. I took the time to write such a lengthy review so you don't make the same mistake I do. You have been warned. read more

I reserved a vehicle online from Canada and found Easirents website very easy to navigate and the online chat feature was extremely useful in answering my questions. They also followed up with an e-mail to ensure that all my queries had been answered sufficiently. I rent vehicles from Manchester Airport annually and look forward to the unique service provided by Easirent. I am very satisfied with how the booking was processed! Such a con. Abysmal, stick to known, reputable companies. Booked a car on a comparison site, Easirent was £15 cheaper than usual companies so decided to give it a try. Very poor decision. Had to go back home first of all to get 2 proof of address + passport + driving licence, when any normal company will just need DL + Credit Card. The excess deposit on a Fiesta is £1250, utterly ridiculous when you consider Europcar/Hertz will charge £200 max. It's just a con to try to force you to take their over priced 'excess reduction' insurance, which at £13/day works out more expensive than the actual car rental, but would reduce the excess deposit to £500. Location is a poxy office in the back of a restaurant at the Marriot Manchester, so not Manchester Airport at all. After this poor experience I drove to the rental village at Manchester Airport, and in the 10 minute journey was able to book a car with Europcar for £15 more that was available immediately, no bank statements required and a reasonable excess (£200). Cheap for a reason. Staff were polite, that's about the only positive. read more

Never rent from this company!!!. Their online price is misleading you will never get the price listed on expedia or orbitz and the wait time is well over 2hrs even when they are not busy. I repeat if you rent from them you will regret it. I gave them two chances both rentals I regret ... read more

Easirent if far from Easy. While systems are complicated they use and manipulate to extract every extra penny they can from your wallet. They claimed my credit card rejected the £1800 excess need to allow me to rent. There helpful solution was to increase the daily price from £6 to approximately £40 as they could offer this with 'there insurance' included. Hardly the deal we had agreed to and a scam. When I got home I called my credit card company immediately. There was sufficient funds on the card. read more

Do not rent from this company. I booked car with my flight from USA. When I arrived at a dodgy trading estate I waited in a scruffy waiting area with a bunch of car salesman rejects. I had purchased insurance and all I was supposed to pay was the rental charge. They wanted to take a 1500 pound deposit and a further 95 for fuel. This total will make it $2000 !!!! Deposit. Daylight robbery. I have traveled and hired cars for years and this is a first. The whole atmosphere was one of you are being taken advantage of. I cancelled my car. I did not give those cowboys my credit card and left. I went to Hertz and hired one. $200 deposit. Do not use this ripoff company. read more

Probably the worst car hire company in the world?? I had been a long time customer of Easirent for about 3 years, renting from them every other week. After pre-ordering my car a month in advance, I arrived at the desk as usual, to be told that I had hired a car from them for more then ten times and would now be unable to hire a car from them. I was stunned to say the least. No one could help it it was basically well that's it, unlucky, so I was bundled back into their van and dumped back at the airport to try and find an alternative. Complained to both Easirent and the BVRLA, which if you go through the same experience, I'd advise you not to bother, as poking yourself in the eye with a stick would be more advantageous. read more

I have rented from Easirent for 3 consecutive years now and I have had great service. This is all the more interesting as I am an ex-pat living in the Pacific Northwest of the USA and made my first booking totally on spec. Prices are very competitive coupled with the excellent customer service lead by Ann and instilled in her admin and driver team. I have total peace of mind booking the rental from 4650 miles away knowing all my expectations will be taken care of. read more

Avoid this rental car agency. They are terrible to deal with and they will nickel and dime for everything. A rental that I booked on Expedia for $175 ended up costing me $850. The woman I dealt with was a sweet talker and acted like she was doing you a favor but at the end of the day they are nothing but a scam artist. Consider yourself warned. read more

If I could give a negative number of stars, I would! Easirent insist on charging either a 1250 GBP hold to your card or on you taking their own insurance at rip-off prices even when you've already paid for CDW when booking. They don't tell you what is excluded from their breakdown or insurance policies (it turns out they don't actually provide any breakdown cover themselves, only what is provided under the vehicle's manufacturer warranty). T&Cs not shown to hirer prior to contract being signed so no opportunity to see this until it is too late. We paid their rip-off insurance and were told we had full insurance cover and full breakdown cover. Car had been very poorly maintained - the washer fluid was empty on pickup (we had to buy our own) and the inside of the windshield was filthy with numerous (over 20) marks from gps suction cups as well as a haze over the entire inside of the windshield from lack of cleaning. During the rental, one of the tyres started to deflate. As we'd been told we had full cover, we used the repair kit (no spare provided) and then called Easirent from our hotel. They told us that, had the tyre been a problem before we picked up the car, the TPS would have given a warning and therefore it was our problem to replace the tyre at our expense - it was at this point that they told us that tyres aren't covered under their breakdown policy as the vehicle manufacturer doesn't warranty them. We had no choice but to replace the tyre to be able to continue with our vacation so we took the car to the local National Tyre Service. National Tyres told us that the tyre had been damaged by being kerbed (we had not done this) and that the damage was in fact visible on the tyre while it was on the car. Again, something that should have been picked up by Easirent during routine maintenance. The tyre had also apparently suffered severe run flat damage although we had not run it flat at any point. It seems that Easirent must have been aware of the damage to the tyre and were waiting to pass the maintenance on to an unlucky hirer (me) as we were then also told that there was no TPS system so no dashboard warning would ever have appeared of there being a problem. On returning the car 2 days later, we complained to the person who checked the car over for the return. He assured me I could speak to the agent in the office; however, she refused and simply ignored us. The driver gave us the address and phone number to make a complaint - I later went to their website and got the complaints email address from one of their online chat agents; however, to date, no-one has responded to my complaint. And because they took my card details on their form and we are certain they are going to try and charge us for the repair kit we had to use, and possibly for other extras if they can manage to dream up anything else to hit us for, I have had to cancel my card and request it re-issued this close to Christmas when I need it to be able to finish Christmas shopping to prevent them being able to take any more money on top of the 527$ that this rental, which was meant to cost just 143$ has already cost us. read more

Easirent is anything but an easy car renting experience. They are deceptive, unorganized, and have no customer service. In my time there I saw a customer almost break her neck because the company is operating out of a very dangerous office. She literally feel straight on her face, and the staff there ignored her!! It must happen all the time. My experience was just as bad but not physically damaging. They lied and would not honor their own terms and condition. Truly a disgusting business. We rented a vehicle with Easirent in early December from Manchester Airport with a return to the same location. We were told that the vehicle would contain £20 - £30 of fuel. I confirmed the terms and conditions on the Easirent website regarding fuel and it stated the following: "When you book a car the hire car will have between £20 - £30 of fuel which is charged locally. For van hire we operate level to level." At no point whilst making the reservation was I told that as our rental was for three days or more, that a full tank of fuel would need to be paid for in advance. This is not stated on Easirent's terms and conditions either. When we were collected from Manchester Airport Terminal 1. The drive to the Easirent office was not pleasant as the male associate kept hitting the brakes hard and stated that the brakes on the Ford Fiesta were very sharp. Later when I drove the car myself I found out that this was not the case at all and it was just his driving. Upon Arrival at the office we were greeted by another male associate who maintained a negative attitude throughout the encounter. He was trying to train the associate who drove us from the airport during the process and he was was not paying much attention. I was asked if we were travelling far and I said no and only within Cheshire as we lived in Wilmslow which is less than five miles from the airport. The male associate then pointed out a printout that was on display on the desk and said that any rentals for three days or more were liable for a full tank of petrol and that he would have to charge me £59.94 in advance and any fuel used was non refundable. I explained that this was unacceptable and I was not made aware at any point during the booking process of this policy. The male associate stated rudely that it was noted on our booking website. I explained that it was not and if I had seen that then I would not have reserved a car through Easirent.com. I also stated that I would have to dispute the charge with American Express if that was the case as it did not meet with trading standings within the UK to make up policies without advising customers first. The male associate arrogantly stated that in that case he could not let us have the vehicle. Additionally as we had pre-paid the rental through rentalcars.com, he stated that we would have to ask them for the money back. We found his whole tone and attitude completely unacceptable and I have never experienced customer service from a car rental agency like that. It was extremely disappointing. Due to the 10pm arrival time at the Eaisrent office and the location on the other side of the airport, nowhere near the rental car village we had no choice but to pay the additional fuel charge directly to Easirent and travel home. A great welcome after 12 hours of travelling. The vehicle that had been allocated to us, a black Ford Fiesta was not what we expected at all. The windscreen was chipped in two places and the front wheel arch was badly dented. The car hadn't even been cleaned properly and an empty bottle of water was under the front seat and a used tissue in the side door compartment. The car was dusty throughout and looked like it had not even been vacuumed and traces of what looked like dog hair were present on the seats. The interior scent cards hanging from the rearview mirror were overpowering and were there to hide the stale smell of cigarettes. Whilst driving the automatic vehicle it juddered before changing gears. It was clearly in need of a service. Upon returning the vehicle on the afternoon of the 5th December I was greeted by a male associate and the female branch manager. Both very friendly, however, they continued to have a personal conversation whilst I was standing there. I asked the branch manager regarding the policy enforced on us and she said that it was at the discretion of each branch regarding different fuel policies. She said that the full tank policy was to help people out if travelling far. But I advised the male associate upon arrival that we weren't traveling far, so why did he ignore this? I noticed that the three day fuel policy document had been removed from the desk. Why did we experienced such a bad rental experience from start to finish and why did I had to pay for a full tank of fuel when the Easrirent reservations office stated that this was not the policy at all? Avoid Easirent at all costs! Disgraceful! read more

Nice experience. Assistant was helpful and gave me advice about the car I was hiring. Although I did not ask for advice I appreciate that he wanted me to make the best of the rental. No problems with return either. read more

Car hire in Jan 2014. Appalling service on returning the car. A scam I wonder if they try out on all car returned P, when they know you are leaving the country after drop off. They tried to charge me for a damaged wheel hub - they later admitted was "old" damage. They also tried to charge a 90 uk sterling valet fee- as they claimed there was some mud in the interior- which I wiped off in less than 1 minute. Staff rude and unhelpful - AVOID read more

The online booking process was especially great and user friendly. I had been looking for a budget rental in Manchester UK and kept getting really high prices. It was made more difficult because I was using a smart phone and mostly mobile sites which sometimes are short on details you can get on desktop sites. I tried to book an Easirent car firstly through a third party site and had difficulties. I was extremely pleased when I went directly to the Easirent mobile site and quickly, efficiently completed a good rental deal, at an even lower price too. Thanks Easirent. read more

Easirent Manchester Airport Oct 2015 Online Rental: I agree with the worst posts for this operation. Not only does the Easirent operation from Manchester Airport (when it's unreliably managed at an obscure and dirty office rented from a Marriott hotel miles away) completely ignore online booking print-outs one must present, not bother locating the booking, have no vehicle ready nor itself ready or helpful at due pickup time, but it was not present (office door locked) during its given attendance hours and did not answer any call from the Marriott staff, so never checked the car back in. As if that is not enough not to use this Easirent inoperation, its non-booking account then conveniently overcharged, complaints to management ineffective and redirected to trash baskets, but its receptionist also needed a course in basic customer relations. Simply the WORST car hire in 40 odd years of international travel. BUT blame it all on the company's executives. THEY do NOTHING to improve such an operation. Message to all then: Use another company altogether. Even the 2nd worst is better! read more

beware...read this before you hire from this company. i put a £1250 deposit on the car. When i was given the car the check out inspection took approximately 20 seconds. It was extremely superficial. When i returned the car after approximately two weeks of use the check in procedure was in total contrast to check out. It was incredibly detailed and meticulous. The employee got down on all fours shining a torch into all the wheel arches and wheel spokes. They managed to find the most minute of marks on one of the wheel trims...barely perceptible, and certainly had not been looked for on check out. I was then told this would require a new alloy wheel, and the final bill was £216 which was removed from my account before i gave approval to the quote. needless to say i am in the process of reporting them to trading standards. read more
